This is the manliest thing I’ve ever see...badass locos being hauled by even more badass trucks. Literally grew chest hairs during the course of this video.
I'm REALLY impressed at the turning radius of those trailers!! And especially the way the turning mechanism appears to be automated based on the hitch linkage between the truck and trailer. Clever design!!
@@countrygent4 They do. Due to some sections of the railway being Narrow Gauge & Some being standard guage, they are unable to haul locos to the Plibara. This is why TB Got the job.
We actually do carry locomotives around just not the full 200tons. The frame, trucks, engine and body parts are all separate loads on separate trucks. Trail king doesn't make a 200ton gvw truck trailer combination for us hwys.
i almost though this was a click bate but then 5 seconds into the vid i was like wow then the part when they finally had the two trucks pull the loco then i thought aw yea this is bad ass!
Thanks Matt Hayes.that's some awesome footage. Just last.night I saw a flatbed truck in Zepherhills Fl.(Tampa Bay Fl) hauling train wheels. I thought it was nice to see."If you love trains? you love this kind of video." I know my grandbabies love to see them whenever I share those trains with them.
Yes, but what you need to watch is when they lift one (not either of these two) off the trailer and set it on the ground and caboom one end gives and it falls and the other end falls.
Music Universe yes sir it’s a serious truck. Running a fiat Alice tug boat engine with full inter axel wheel lock deployment. About 3,000 horsepower and a two speed auxiliary transmission with deep reduction and low hole. All wheel drive
Bullshit you're running a Fiat Alice engine. His spelling, not mine or anybody else for that matter. Well except for that idiot 9 car Cottrell, who comments the exact same bullshit. 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣🤣
Very amazing surprised I never saw this video before with all my train watching. Isnt it neat to think that either one of those train engines could have pulled every bit of that with probably next to no effort? Very awesome trucks working like a train to move a train.
trains are a little taller than trucks, for example, truck is 4 m and freight or passenger cars are 4,4 m. there's even bigger trains like bilevel 5 m and over wheel bilevel 6 m.
I was thinking the exact same thing! It almost even looks like the road was built for oversize traffic because it seems like it's got an extra-wide center divide for what otherwise looks like an undivided road. :)
They like to move the big stuff in Australia. I saw about 3 of those huge Euclid trucks being moved there. They take the entire, as in from side to side, roadway, and they don't like to stop.

Sorry we used to not f around when came to hauling. These days because of do gooders red tape. It'll take about 3 months advance notice they'll give, about 500 pagers off paper work, you'll have to do. If one thing is out off place on the day, they'll fine you plus make you go on, another day, costing 1000's of $$$. Because one page is not right. If your lucky they'll let you go but you'll still be paying some kind odd a fine. Back in the 70's 80's & too about 1992 it was easy no making around just make shore everything's ok, but not over done like today. Red tape has too go. Cost so much, people can't run a business

Facilities to repair, build, rebuild, paint, wash, look at and even scrap are strangely enough always located on a track. So this is indeed an odd site
Matt Hayes you welcome.....this is why i would loved to work in transports on Australia, with these so awesome loads....man,how i wish....greetings,friend,and keep posting more awesome videos like you had been before.Greetings.
i like the us made engine.but volvo scania is the king!high hp and torque at very low rpm with low fuel consumption...i drive 3 year inline 6 scania and volvo fh 13..very very strongest trucks...Yuxin Wang
I have a question about the multi-wheeled transporter. Do the individual bogies pivot depending on where the frame takes them, or are they steered around the corners
looks like that semi has 4 150 gal diesel tanks?, im asking because situations like this how do you make a fuel stop? or do you carry enough for the job at hand?
When I saw just one tractor pulling that locomotive, I thought I hope he doesn't have to go up any hills. It was moving pretty fast, even when coming around the corner.
Actually the AN-225 could accommodate one of these, pick it up in Newcastle where its built, then fly it accross to the pilb, however a runway suitable for it to land and drop it off might be difficult to find. Perhaps a large parachute drop? :-)

What a sight. Imagine seeing these two beauties cruising down the freeway.

Been watching train videos for a while and these 2 have to be about the longest loco. I have seen.
Those steerable trailers are slick as hell!
Amazing assembly of power !
I've seen it all:
Trains hauling trucks.
Trucks hauling trains.
I am shocked they do not have tracts up to the factory and just drive they out of the factory.

@@tp2981b8 Oh, thanks for that. I wondered why.
I saw trucks hauling a space shuttle in Los Angeles...
Its cool to see the tractors working together just like the loco engines do +)
@Jacqie Claggett In the USA, at least, the cab of a semi-truck is also called a tractor.
Apparently no undercrossings to worry about...doing a little tree trimming along the way.
About the 4th time I've watched this , but have never got tired of real road transport , as I used to be a BDouble O/D !
Pretty cool work right there - especially when going up grade and having the other oversized load pass going the other way.
No whacko music. Thank you!
Zaptor one of my pet hates also , your welcome
That made my day seeing that ! As many semi-trailers are carried on American Railroads, it's about time we carried a locomotive.

I read somewhere that moving trains by track works, too
As long as there's track there.

Why hassle with tracks when you can put them on a truck?
very Impressive our Aussie friends!
Damm those Mack's are some gorgeous trucks ,

Do you know for what gauge these locomotives were made? Because the disjointed mess of track gauges in Australia should be common knowledge by now.
In this case, the iron ore line they are going to is isolated and has no connection to any other rail lines, so they cannot be transported by rail.

What was the gradient of the road, at 5.30?
wellifthemediasaysit averages 4.8 with a maximum of 12.1
Why weren't they manufactured closer to railroad tracks and moved by rail?
I guess this would be a true truck train.
Wonder how they control the load when having to go down hill?
I go to deep reduction and low hole with Jake
Australia is awesome in the transportation sector.
What is it a family reunion or they letting Thomas and his buddys go back to work?
The truckie wouldn't want to take a corner too fast!!!!! Wondering if he's #hitting himself or totally and calmly in control?????
