00:22 One thing to keep in mind if they want to go the Pal GC route is that you CANNOT use the same scart cable that you use for your ntsc SNES, if it is wired for CSYNC. If you do, you will most likely damage whatever equipment you plug it into, since the PAL GC outputs 12V on the same line that the ntsc SNES outputs CSYNC.

Merry Christmas to you and the family as well, Belmont. Bob said he'll take a tub of chocolate chip if you're baking extra? 🙃

22:28 thanks for the links, but all that documentation is about the (long time EOL) V2 NESRGB board. I really don't know who to contact or ask about this matter, so getting the ball rolling sounds very good! Thanks as always!

One note on the GCDUAL, I installed one to run through a RT5x and wound up with jailbars on RGB and not through component. Apparently this is a known issue so you'll have to play with LPF to try to clear up the picture if that happens to you...

16:40 - I've extended SNES component from HD Retrovision by over 30 feet worth of extensions with little to no noticeable loss in video quality, and that was with cheap extension cables.

Regarding the snes psu question, I believe the reader is referring to Rondo selling reverse polarity adapters. The SNES psus that rondo sells need them, but buying them from other sources do not.

My favorite alternative for GameCube RGB/Compoment is to just play on a Wii. It is still official hardware and supports all the controllers and memory cards.
Only issue though, and this is my hurdle now, is playing the GBA adapter, which I'm thinking of going the modded PAL GameCube route as well.

Poor build quality for the price.
