    I have a 97 Coachman Catalina and it looks like the slideout rubber seals are screwed in, do you have a how-to video on replacing them?

    • @SteeleRubberProducts
      @SteeleRubberProducts  7 років тому +2

      We’ve seen some seals that are screwed in. It’s sometimes possible to replace them with glued on or adhesive backed weatherstrips as long as there is an area on the sheet metal to apply it. Send us a picture and we may be able to help further.

    Don't u create an issue with a longer seal? Does it have enough clearance to pop out when u extend the slide?

      Hello Darla! Thank you for watching.
      Are you referring to the width of wiper blade in relation to the opening between the frame and the slide out?

    Is the also applicable to coachmen catalina slide outs?

    • @SteeleRubberProducts
      @SteeleRubberProducts  2 роки тому

      Yes it is, Don! All slide outs work the same! The only thing you need to know specifically is the size of blade and bulb you need for your slide out, then follow the steps in the video and you are good to go! Thanks for watching!

    Right. I took a cooking class to learn to make sushi... it was hilarious, I was covered with sticky rice. What do you think would happen with this system?

      We totally understand- this can look very overwhelming but if you take your time and have an extra set of hands to help you should be able to do it. And if you have any specific questions about the install that aren't covered in this video you can give us a call or send a message and our techinicians will be happy to help. If you don't think this DIY job is for you then search out a local RV Mobile Tech to come out and take care of the hard work for you. There are so many talented RV Mobile Techs around the country, and many of them are Steele customers too! Thanks so much for watching!

    What type adhesive do you apply?

      We used the 3M Super Weatherstrip Adhesive Black. www.steelerubber.com/weatherstrip-adhesive-96-8008-96

    What an awkward messy job - I'll find a self-adhesive gasket or use one of the new 3M double-back tapes. I'm not going to manually apply adhesive, spread it on the coach, apply adhesive to the floppy rubber and spread it, then apply more adhesive to active the two tacky surfaces. Must take hours to do this. Just my opinion after watching the video.

      Thanks for your comment! Replacing the slide out seal on a motor-home is a challenge!
      Gluing on the seal doesn't make it any easier, but we like to demonstrate all
      the ways you can apply the seal so people can choose what's right for their
      project. Glue-On seals are a great option if you don't have access to adhesive
      backed seals. We will be demonstrating the ease of application for adhesive backed seals in an upcoming video. Thanks for watching!
