  • After hearing of Michael Howard’s sermon from cowboy church in Ennius Texas in 11 July 2k15, I was inspired to write several narrative poems with elements of lyric poetry at that time. His sermon was about current scientific discoveries that were made were originally mentioned in the Bible thousands of years before the discoveries.
Here is one of those discoveries:
    • Job 28:25 - To establish a weight for the wind, And apportion the waters by measure.
    • The fact that air has weight was proven scientifically only about 300 years ago. The relative weights of air and water are needed for the efficient functioning of the world's hydrologic cycle, which in turn sustains life on the earth.
LYRICS TITLE: The Weight of the Wind - Job 28:25
    HERE IS MY LYRICS:
    Verse 1:
Well, Job knew a thing or two, long before the rest,
He said the wind's got weight, and I reckon he’s the best.
Folks thought he was crazy, but now we all agree,
Air ain’t just nothin’, it’s holdin’ you and me.
    Pre-Chorus:
From the mountains to the plains, and across the deep blue sea,
The good Lord knew the truth, now it’s plain to see.
    Chorus:
The wind's got weight, and the sky ain't light,
It's holdin' us down with all its might.
Job was right, you better believe,
There's more to the air than what you perceive.
Oh, the weight of the wind, it’s a mighty thing,
It’s pressin’ on down like a high-flyin' king.
    Verse 2:
That old-time preacher knew what science came to say,
Air has its pressure, every single day.
The storms might come, the breeze may blow,
But the weight of the wind’s what keeps it in tow.
    Pre-Chorus:
From the heavens to the ground, we’re feelin’ that load,
The wisdom’s in the Bible, and now it’s been told.
    Bridge:
So tip your hat to the heavens above,
Air’s got power, it’s a gift from love.
You can feel it in your lungs, and out on the plains,
The weight of the wind, like a sweet refrain.
    Outro:
So next time the breeze blows across your face,
Remember ol’ Job and the wind’s embrace.
The weight of the wind, steady and true,
It's holdin' this world, for me and you.
