The only glitchy thing about the Roman Senate is that Rome has no gates in battle, LOL. Otherwise, raise those taxes and don't touch the Senate missions. You are the SENATE.

so the "slaves" is that the Rebel faction you did a campaign with? Is it actually glitched? I have heard that they are and that SPQR are as well but I've never tried them myself. I already have all of the other factions unlocked except for those two.
So as long as you leave at least one faction as unplayable then itll work. But Rebels and SPQR are weird. SPQR:its like playing a roman faction but the entire senate system is bugged and wont do anything. Also at random times it could crash and in specific crashes your game might break un-enabling you to play any roman faction. Rebels: Works fine but the faction in generals weird. On the upside non of your cities can ever riot or revolt and also any randomly spawned rebels becomes apart of your empire (Public orders gone!). But you can only recuit Units you can make from barracks (with addition of hillmen and hoplites) from every faction. Indifferent cultures comes different units (like Barbarian Cities make warband while greek cities make militia hoplites and hoplites). also you have almost all the religons in the world but sometimes Buidlings wont work. Rebels is really hard.

There is a video on wiki how that describes it better than me but you have to copy the file and paste it onto your screen, like your home screen. Then you Edit the one you pasted onto the home screen and edit that. Then replace the original file with that file, there should be an option if you drag the edited file to the non edited file. Then save it, if it says you need access just click continue. Hope i helped! I can help you with this. Go to your folder. Following his instructions up to the Des strat and right click to properlies set user to you and allow access to it. Basic. Oh that's under secretary tab FYI.

@@skinnyguymead3029 Propably this is too late now, but check the video at 3:08-3:10. Make sure EVERYTHING is the same in your file. You can write stuff you propably erased too. Make sure you don't miss any section or word. Then it should work
@@montee2603 I had the same problem...You should have everything written the same as is in 3:00 and 3:15 all "end" and things like that...If you have erased anything you can write it again manually....hope your problems I solved
So.. is the other way to unlock the unlockable factions just to play different campaigns?.. I'm not really sure because I played at the Julii in the short campaign but it only unlocked some of the unlockable factions and even when I took down Spain as the Julii I didn't get them added to the list, is it like if I now play a faction like greek cities I'd unlock others with a campaign win?
Without using the method shown in this video, you can only unlock these factions: - Egypt - Seleucid - Carthage - Parthia - Gauls - Germans - Britons - Greek cities When you add three Roman houses to this, you'll get a list of all the default playable factions. It's not much, so I recommend using the method presented in the video. You won't regret it. Spain is my favorite babarian faction despite not having archers. As for the fair method of unlocking those factions that are unlockable, it's simple, you have to destroy them. You don't have to defeat them all alone, but you do have to deliver the killing blow, aka, conquer their last settlement. This means that all the factions listed above can be unlocked in one long campaign, assuming no one destroys them before you, and seleucids like to die quickly.
@@ladganan4776 Thanks, I realised that I did need to unlock others by changing a few things although I was super nervous I'd accidentally break something Luckily that wasn't the case but it is still a slight bit nerve wracking if you've never done something like that before or if you're like me have the computer skills of a regurgitated lemon
Hmmm you could try uninstalling the game and downloading it again. Have you edited any of the data files? Sometimes that can cause issues if you don’t do it right
When I try to save the document , it asks me whether I really want to save it in that format, as the text will lose its properties. So I save it as rich text, but it doesn’t unlock the factions.
A little late but I ran into this as well. The document follows a certain format in order to work. Changing the format by saving it as rich text probably doesn't work as you change the format. Keep it as a txt and not as odf or whatever open office wants you to change it to. I advice using notepad++ to edit these kinds of files as notepadd++ doesn't change formats. Hope you don't need this anymore but here it is none the less :)

It should work if you did exactly as I did in the video. Check that you haven't accidentally edited the name of a faction or put them in the wrong place

Yeah, just copy and paste the factions you want to 'lock' under the section 'end nonplayable'

Sadly I don't think there is a way, but I've never played the app version so I can't be 100% sure. Maybe you could check some Internet forums to help

If you bought it as a mobile app, you go to options, you hit "view more options", and there should be an option to unlock them all.
