One thing I’ve always loved about YYZ is that Neil never repeats a fill- every break, even in the background, is both unique and methodically precise. RIP, Professor.
Hey guys, love seeing the younger crowd hearing this classic.... Our three Canadian masters... Dam thou....1980 was having my first baby. So my son will be 41 and has listened to this since he was in the womb......lol YYZ is our airport in Toronto...... Subdivisions, La Villa strangiato, Trees, 2112........ cheers
I’m from Canada and rush needs to be heard everywhere so every one can appreciate them , three guys wtf ? Sounds like 5 or 6 easy , play the trees , cool song ! So many good ones lakeside park , passage to Bangkok all great songs , I love your channel guys keep it going 👏🏻
Agreed, that song is a musical masterpiece. YYZ got the fanfare, but La Villa Strangiato got the technical and creative recognition of musicians by showing exactly where the talent of Rush lies - they can just jam and get fans enthralled.
I've seen rush 6 or 7 times, always awesome. The funniest thing at one of their shows was if there were 20,000 people there, 17,000 were men and 15,000 were playing the air drums.
Oh guys, there is no other version of YYZ then Live in Rio, where the 60,000 crazed fans, sing this instrumental back to the band. Really, it is no longer an instrumental, lol.
Hey guys........another great song from those Canadian rock gods. You guys will have to do Red Barchetta as well as Natural Science...my favorite Rush tune of all time!!!!! Both are stellar!!!! :D
The breaking glass…customs dropping and breaking your stuff! Back in the day when you brought home gifts for people from your trip, you’d find everything broken. That’s what those crashes are.
Everything they touch is Gold! I heard this for the first time back in July when you reviewed it. Now I love it! Fun fact... I love Gilmore Girls can recite any quote/episode. BUT someone pointed out that Getty Lee's daughter is a fan. So he and his daughter were able to be in a scene. I now rewind every time I watch that episode.
Nice reaction. I’m a huge Rush fan. Started listening to them in 1976 with 2112. You have to listen to that if you haven’t. When they retired and Neil passed away I was lost until I found Nightwish and joined the Nightwish Army. They are different in musical style, but both amazing bands with incredible musicians/song writers.
Great job guys. Check out Natural Science by Rush if you want to be blown away. Also here is a band that like April Wine you might have missed from the 70’s. The band is UFO. Check out the song Lights Out, but the live version on Strangers in the Night. They are a hard rocking band with great guitar solos and sound.
Great reaction!! You should do “Xanadu - Exit Stage Left” Or anything you haven’t heard before! If you need suggestions, let us know… #RUSHFAMILY will be happy to help you out! LOL 😁 Be well and God Bless… from Texas!!
The Police couldn't play this song on their best day... The Police can only dream of being as cool as Rush... and If you asked the Police who's better, I think they'd have to give it up for Rush.
Found your channel just now. Please check out also Aristocrats "Waves" - live version. :) The group features guitarist Guthrie Govan, drummer Marco Minnemann & bassist Bryan Beller.
"Roll The Bones" if you want to see how Rush remained new and relevant as music genres changed around them, without leaving them in the dust. ua-cam.com/video/mmIynF-59YE/v-deo.html
I just saw a comment from a Canadian who said that yes, they do pronounce "z" as "zed", but there's two exceptions. They say "ZZ Top", not "Zed Zed Top", and they say "YYZ", not "YYZed". So... jury's still out on it I think.
YYZ live in Rio is awesome. The huge crowd literally singing the notes.
I was there and done that hehe It still is the best concert of my life
One thing I’ve always loved about YYZ is that Neil never repeats a fill- every break, even in the background, is both unique and methodically precise. RIP, Professor.

The most cinematic instrumental ever. Each piece evokes a different image of air travel. Driving rhythm, expansive emotions of family reunion.

I know this is hard to top but La Villa Strangiato is their greatest instrumental. The studio video version is amazing to behold

THIS! 👍

What he said...the 3most talented dudes of all time!THE270( Formerly 502)😀✌
Love how the intro is morse code YYZ (for the Toronto Airport)
The Police are my 2nd favorite band, I love their music, nothing touches YYZ.
Oh guys, there is no other version of YYZ then Live in Rio, where the 60,000 crazed fans, sing this instrumental back to the band. Really, it is no longer an instrumental, lol.
definitely one of the best "crowd performance"
I love that one because you really understand that this song is all about Neil's drumming.
Should have swept every award that year. One of the greatest rock albums of all time.
Been lucky to see them many times since 1981. No words, guys. The Holy Triumvirate.
My face always hurts after listening to YYZ, it’s so good I do that face-scrunching thing. 😣 you know what I’m talking about.
I try not to do it, for fear of face paralysis! Never achieved it once.
Guys, time to do Xanadu,La ville strangiato and 2112. You're missing something truly special and unique.
Hey guys........another great song from those Canadian rock gods. You guys will have to do Red Barchetta as well as Natural Science...my favorite Rush tune of all time!!!!! Both are stellar!!!! :D
La Villa Strangiato! Perhaps the best instrumental ever! Mind Blowing!! Would love to see your reaction.
2112, the entire 1st side, amazing
It could not be played any other way. Love it just as is composed
Over to the right is "next video: the reaction to Tom Sawyer by Rush." I can see that video, and I live in NY state.
Good to know you guys are doing some RUSH. You should do Xanadu. Greatest Rush song ever! Perhaps the greatest rock song ever. Mind blowing!
Thank you for giving Alex his props … I’ll subscribe on that alone!!!
Rush was robbed by the ridiculous Grammys.
The breaking glass…customs dropping and breaking your stuff! Back in the day when you brought home gifts for people from your trip, you’d find everything broken. That’s what those crashes are.
As a Canadian I love it that you guys look like bobbleheads during the song.
Everything they touch is Gold! I heard this for the first time back in July when you reviewed it. Now I love it! Fun fact... I love Gilmore Girls can recite any quote/episode. The first time I ever saw Rush was in 1977 in NYC. The opening bands were Cheap Trick and UFO. It was one of the best concerts.
Guys, you gotta check out "Red Barchetta" which is IMHO Rush's most famous song beloved by legions of Canadians since its release 40-years ago.
“Spirit of Radio”, “Subdivisions” and “La Villa Strangiato” is fire🔥
YYZ is the international call for the Toronto airport. If ever there, you would get it ....
I believe Geddy talks about it in the Rush documentary: Beyond the lighted stage. It's an audible call signal for the airport.
La Villa Strangiato if you haven’t listened to yet….
Maybe the best way to experience YYZ is checking out YYZ live in Rio. Also, check out "Working Man Time Machine Tour live in Cleveland"
Unreal the sound that came from this 3 man band. Classic, Boss, masters of psychedelic style rock.
God what a tune
You should check out the exit stage left version. Neil has a drum solo in it.
YYZ,IS A CODE FOR SUPER TALENT...
"Spirit of Radio"
"La Villa Strangiato"
Great reaction!! You should do “Xanadu - Exit Stage Left” Or anything you haven’t heard before! If you need suggestions, let us know… #RUSHFAMILY will be happy to help you out! LOL 😁 Be well and God Bless… from Texas!!

If you have not already done so, Me thinks you may be ready for the Opus 2112.
*1/4 Plywood Being Smacked On A Metal Stool - **6:23** To **6:37**. LP Liner Notes 1981.*
The Police couldn't play this
song on their best day...
The Police can only dream of
being as cool as Rush...
and If you asked the Police who's
better, I think they'd have to give
it up for Rush.
That being said, the Police were a force to be reckoned with. Stewart Copland was a master at the drums.
If you guys want to do something a little different that I promise you'll love react to "Max Webster - Battle Scar", go in blind and you'll love it.
YYZ is Toronto call sign at Pearson International Airport.
Check out their album 2112 it’s unbelievable from start to finish
Try Freewill has great Solo

"YYZ" Live in Rio please......
It's Why Why Zed. We're Canadian eh?
YY Zed
I just saw a comment from a Canadian who said that yes, they do pronounce "z" as "zed", but there's two exceptions. They say "ZZ Top", not "Zed Zed Top", and they say "YYZ", not "YYZed". So... jury's still out on it I think.
Must be a french Canadian then. We do pronounce ''z'' as ''zed'' normally.
@@Shanfeu I'm curious. How do you say "YYZ"?
@@bobcarn The same way anglophone do. We don't say "YYZed". Well, any French person who love Rush won't say it that way, that's for sure.
@@Shanfeu LOL. I just saw your reply as I started watching another reaction video to YYZ, and he pronounced it "YYZed". hahahahaha
A drum fan, a guitar fan and....
Hy cool song
Hey boys, check out “ The spirit of radio”
YYZed!!!
I would equate Rush losing to the
Police as Metallica losing to
Jethro Tull...
Even Jethro Tull found that bizarre.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Money Review!!!!
🙏❤🌹Neil🌹❤🙏
yyz airport code for Toronto pesrson international
if you were pulling a redo, why not do a live version, just to get something different out of it?... unless you did a live video the first tiem

Y Y ZED
you both had heard the song "a zillion times". make it a reaction. You're missing Ryan. This is a reaction channel. You can do it.
Too bad you’d already heard it.
