I'm also on the M500 package. I'm using my own ASUS router with the Hub 4 as a Modem. I'm getting 552-556Mbps consistently. For those of you on VM, I would strongly recommend using the VM Hub as a Modem and buy a good ASUS router. I've had it since September 1st and it's been great.
hey buddy been looking at switching to virgin from other shitty services either way saw your comment. Just wanted to clarify something you might not know but may find interesting. 362Mbps is 362 MegaBITS per second. One MegaBYTE = 8 MegaBITS. So if your download is 362 Mbps it is 45 MegaBytespersecond (roughly) it means its working fine and how it should be. If youre getting 45 megabits then you do have an issue and i am sorry for that and i please reply so i know and understand to not switch to an underperforming product.
@@Bajaisus It's all very area dependent. I've had virgin for years, once in a while signal will go down for a day (happened once in 2022) but other than that I'm getting consistent speed
Yes I did. The adaptors are great for extending internet however I also now need to move large files at greater speed. So, wired was the obvious choice.
Are you happy with it, any regrets?...I'm thinking about switching to Virgin to a package similar to yours...My current ISP is with BT who can only offer me 70mb download, 18mb upload...
They offered me 1gbp for £6 extra and im currently only on 100mb, considering on the website the highest upgrade I could do was 350 for 16 extra i snapped that offer up instantly, such a good deal. 900mb more for £6.. i thought he made a mistake at first. Livechat is the way to go when upgrading for sure

@@ulysses4989 ive had it now for 2 and a bit months in a poorer area of london and its incredibly inconsistent unfortunately. Wish i was you buddy.
Hey you've had this for 4 months now is it still good ???I've just bought a ps5 and thinking of changing over to this
Not a single issue thus far. I've had Virgin broadband for about 10 years now.
Obviously some areas are better than others so experiences may vary.
keep it up with another good contents.
How’s the m500 virgin media?
Great!
Did you ditch the powerline adaptors you had before in favour of a long cable?
Yes I did. The adaptors are great for extending internet however I also now need to move large files at greater speed. So, wired was the obvious choice.
I got the M500 package for 36/m. I’ve connected 12 devices. And im getting only 50 mbps. Im so furious. I was getting this with talktalk
That’s not my experience. Admittedly I use a different router than the one supplied.
@@ricco123tube did you ever have any problems with the speed consistency. Or is it always close to the average speed they said you would have?
It's pretty much bang on what they state, although occasionally at busy times it is a little slower.
Performance may suffer in a built up area.
@@ricco123tube Ahh Yh that could be another factor
Try bt for me upload speed 0.06
At least yours works, got ours in the other week and its about 4mbps
That's a bit crappy.
I believe you can request to get your internet fixed if it falls under a certain amount which you definitely have
I got 1gig for £28
That's really good. I've just gone with the 350
is it Fiber m350 ?
@@jassniuab yes
@@GrumpyMansREVIEWS how is it ? just did application and they are coming to install next week
@@jassniuab it's good I've seen a difference from 200mbps we have 30+ WiFi equipment in our house
What it like for ping spikes?
you sound like tom scott
No, he sounds like me.
Lucky you I upgraded to m500 and I'm getting 90mbps if I'm lucky. Not happy with Virgin at all when I was on the m100 plan I was lucky if I got 10mbps
Is this measured via ethernet cable connected to supahub?
You wont get that over Wi-Fi
I do.
Ooh speedy!
I got offered everything for £79 a month, M650. Usually hangs around 640, so can't complain. Upload still can't hits more than 42 though.
Nice video
