I just signed up with Hyperoptic and I’m currently with Plusnet. Plusnet provide 18 month contract 70mbps download and 9mbps. I got hyperoptic 1gb package 24 month contract for £33 per month for minimum speed 900mbps download and upload and maximum speed 939mbps download and upload. My plusnet contract is going up to £54 a month if I didn’t switch. I totally agree that all these companies using BT lines have had a monopoly for custom but that’s changing. I live in Scotland and I’m so happy to finally have a great deal.

I jumped on the Hyperoptic bandwagon about 8 years ago. They came and cabled up our block of 120 flats with hubs in the basement, then cables to individual flats. Speeds are reliable, no down times, no errors no problems. Routers are fast and easy. Service is great had no problems at all. Most of the flats have changed over to hyperoptic over the years when they hear from neighbours about the speeds. You can have VOIP if a landline is needed, but also use your mobile over wifi router. Great customer support. If not already in your area, give them a call

when your hyperoptic contract ended did they offer you an even better deal? keep the current price or did price increase?

They offered me a better deal. Im currently on a 24 month 1gb contract for £24 per month - fast and reliable

@@dwjudd that is what i call a great price, virgin would barely give you 24mb speed for that price before constantly increasing prices. my hyper contract ends dec 3rd, only had two failures in 2 years and that was caused by external workmen cutting the small fiber cable not knowing what it was.

As an employee of hyperoptic, I have the free package of 1GB including total wifi and I can say there’s no complaints from me , extremely fast multiple devices 6-12 and no issues with anyone’s upload or download. Anyone thinking to switch ? I’d recommend: )

Wow. That is unbelievable. Nice one. That’s is incredible speed. Your UA-cam videos must literally be uploaded before you’ve finished the title and description. Very impressive. Also just as impressive is how you managed to insert a bit of filth into setting up a router! 😂

No other service other than Openreach was willing to implement full fibre. Finally getting 500Mbps through BT.

Im with Hyperoptic which in my building is FTTB which I think is early rollout now they deploy FTTP FTTB cause it easier and cost effective to deploy gigabit broadband they only build FTTB in buildings with multiple units where they might find it hard to bring FTTP
the fibre is terminated at the building. This is typically done for buildings with multiple units, where individual units may be serviced differently.

We've had 1Gb Hyperoptic for a few years now and have to say it blows any other ISP out of the water when it comes to speed. As of August, Hyperoptic are sending out upgraded routers supporting Wifi 6 and you can opt for the Mini hub addition (a wifi 6 range extender)

I live in central London, a stones throw away from the British library (literally). Hyperoptic have been stalling (supposedly have permission from the council for installation) but it has been like that way before Covid. Been waiting, I want to say maybe over 3 years now for them to be available in my area... shambles for me really as I would have joined them ages ago, community fibre seem to have a huge difference in customer experience in my area and overall reviews show me that community fibre is better as a 1st time custoemr.

We are buying a new property from bellway and we will be moving in at the end of the month, we have been told by developers that everything will be good to go but we have had to preorder with hyperoptic
We are hoping it goes live straight away but currently they say theyll give us a dongle until its running and cant give us a date that it will be live.
Do you know if it is just a case of them turning it on as it shows its on step 5 where engineer has to attend the property.

It shows talking, installation, interest.. it said talking = taking orders but I can't seem to get anything like order now / accept deal etc. Just generic stuff promotion of what they boast. So does this mean it isn't currently available in my street/ area?

I'm getting a Hyperoptic line put into the house next week (1gb package), I think using their Nokia router. When running an ethernet cable out of the router to a destination in the house, is it possible to plug the end into something like a TP-Link TL-SG105S, 5 Port Gigabit Ethernet Network Switch (1 in 5 out), then connect one output to my PC and another to a Sky Stream puck? If this works, while the combined speeds up/down, I'm thinking, for all ports here would be the max my package provides, will each line be capable of those max 1gb speeds (providing the other 4 ports are quiet)?
I understand I can achieve the same thing by using the rest of the ethernet ports on the Hyperoptic router itself, however I'm also looking for as little duplicate cable runs as possible.

Do not use this company if you can. They have no interest or commitment to providing customers service if there is a problem. Hyperoptic is very interested in acquiring customers not providing customer service
