Morning Mel, thank you for this video, I learnt something new, you said that you can know different accents by the lip pattern, that's amazing, really amazing. You are very talented 😉, of course I used cc to understand some of your signing 🤦 I wish I could sign fluently xx
Hi Mel, thanks for this explanation. Our kids live in Brighton and they are learning some very different signs to us in MK. It’s lovely to see you again, have I just missed your video’s or have you taken some time off? I hope you and your family are well, and stay well x
Hi Yvonne, thank you very much. Yes I'm fine thank you, just been very busy that's all with the whole family to look after. The same as everyone. I hope all you're family are well to. I'm going to get back in the swing of things now with my UA-cam. Stay well xx
Thank you this video it was very interesting.. I learnt Makaton years ago whilst I was working with young adults with learning disabilities. I have only just recently started to learn bsl. I am learning using UA-cam and also doing an online course but finding it difficult because of all the regional differences.. but it will not stop me from learning.. 💜
Hi Gerrard. Thank you very much. With regional signs it takes a long time to learn them. You'll pick them up as you go along so I wouldn't worry. All the best with your BSL!
I felt sad to hear Deaf schools aren't so common now and they are going mainstream. What do you think of that? Yes, all the regional signs can be difficult, but I still want there to be a strong community and culture. Do you think the community will stay strong? Love your videos.
Lena Stripp Hi Lena, yes I do think it’s a shame yes. I think deaf culture is important and sign language. As well I think it’s lovely for hearing and deaf people to be friends as well. Thank you very much for watching my videos 🤗
Hi Mel, I have often said I can tell where someone is from via their lip pattern.. I usually get funny looks but it's true! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only deaf lipreader who can do this!
It’s good to see you back Mel. This is another great content video. Thank you x
Thank you Susan, good to be back. Hope you’re well xx
BSL learning with Mel yes all good here thank you. Hope you and your family well too xx
