@@Daniel-dj7fh i'm not saying the expensive board can not be C, what I'm saying is that a lot of "keyboard" people just say big money things are good just because they are premium and so on. the point here is that crin and the channel are willing to bash mid or bad shit without hesitation (just crin's style tbh), and I'm here for it
@@blindNavigator I get you, but again I don't really see why C is wrong. In my books one could even give it a D for the lack of functions. It looks good, has a fancy gasket mounted pcb, and that's about it. There was like no reason they couldn't have slapped a set of Durock stabs in there or at least an artisan keycap or multiple different plate materials (which is offered from different companies for way less money). Effectively this board will be 540 + ~50 for good cheap switches and a cheap cap set or 540 + ~300 for ink blacks and a gmk set or something.
I got an E7-V2 for myself a while back and I have a couple things to say about it. The VIA problem is due to how long it takes to get VIA to accept a new keyboard into the program, there are many other boards which have had this problem (space80:Apollo for example). In terms of sound, I found that the board sounded terrible with all of the foam installed. I took out every piece of foam, then tempest tape modded the PCB in order to reduce the hollowness of the case. It now sounds absolutely amazing and I recommend that you try doing the same.
Would you mind posting a video on how it sounds please?? I have opblacks, fr4 plate and kat keycaps and love the sound; want to see if this is worth doing
Lol, surprised to see you in a keyboard vid, I didn't know you're in the hobby at all :D I was used to watching headphone reviews from you. Are you two related?
Appreciate the typing sound and graph being put in context. Really helps to highlight more and more differences. I would also like to give props to the censors, clearly the team have earned their pay this week.
@@YaroLord not saying they are on the same level. I'm just surprised that this more expensive board sounds exactly like my keyboard. I'm using $600 iems which I think produces an accurate sound.

Ah, I think you're probably expecting it to be wobbly and stuff. But in reality it's more like not slamming your fingers on the table. But probably irrelevant if you don't type like a dinosaur.
same, same it's just the hype atm and I tend to return back to stiffer plates and the bounce gets very tiring. I do like my E7V2 but I dont use it that often.
Excited to see more from this channel. Only thing I hope is that most products looked at are things we can actually buy, vs sold out buys that don't end up getting another run.
Hi, I'll respond on behalf of the Mecha Store team, we're hoping to do a bit of everything! We've wanna try to be as objective as possible, and cover as many different things as we can
I mean its 500 bucks and doens't have anything really. Bad comparison incoming, but even the gmmk pro has a sound nob. But there I heard the board is abit stiff and maybe has lower tolerances.
I just stop watching half way due to the SUPER annoying censor.. can you guys just use the normal "duuu" sound next time? Or just cut down the f word? It is tiring to watch.. 😵
Usually I wouldn't care about censorship but Lawrence's mouth just might kill our UA-cam career early
Probably worth it, most of us would be better off with a tofu or keychron q2.
Thanks Lawrence’s mouth!
Crin make a neutral sounding keyboard
Its fine but you might wanna use a less annoying sound. Breaks up the flow too much in my opinion.
try sentence shift his swear words
$540 for a hat seems fair to me, it comes with a free keyboard after all.
The graphs are goated. Also how is Lawrence going to let an audio nerd beat him in a typing test 🤣
😂😂🤣🤣😹😹
Crin types f a s t 😢
I was super impressed as well. It looked like he typed with thumb, index and middle fingers and still types 50wpm more than me using two more fingers.
This is the most vulgar, chaotic, and unprofessional keyboard video I've ever seen...
Subscribed.
you know the content is going to be good when they rank a 540$ board C
Why should a 540 buck board not be C?
People literally pay a crap ton of money on things like keycaps because other people sell it for big money.

@@Daniel-dj7fh gasket mount shouldn’t be considered as a feature nowadays since you can find it in any budget custom board imo

Might give it a go but that's all preference to the user. Mine is great for my preference with all the foam in it and with Hyperglides.
QK65 does not flex hardly at all. Plate sits on cast aluminum inner body and flex cuts on pcb do next to nothing.
Very interesting that you guys have a Charue Designs deskmat. Does Mecha Store get a lot of stuff stateside?
We try to buy whatever's cool usually

would defo go for a mode sonnet at that pricepoint.
Lol this board sounds exactly like my IDOBAO ID80 with Sunflower T1's, durock V2 stabs, and akko cherry profile keycaps!
The id80 is mass produced, easily available and not gasket mount. Sound is relative, but I am certain they feel quite different.
