nissan rogue but the problem I dont lik GDI engine
@@aryezzadin934 i have the x trail since 2019 T32 1.6 GDI.Already 50k without problem. But I totally understand you point and I agree with that.Toyota have 8 injectors so only 50 percents gdi.In Europe this shitty GDI are everywhere!1.6 GDI 163hp?hmmm,it strong on 5000rpm.I will preffer mpi injection aswell! All the best!
@@aryezzadin934 2.5 l with just 180hp?Perhaps without turbo!Otherwise I can not explain myself why only 180 hp?!
Clearly,Rav 4
None of them. My pick is the Hyundai Tucson :)
Have had two Rogues previously. This new Rogue Platinum is a cut above. Quieter, smoother, seats are the most comfortable and the sound system is phenomenal. Heads up display is a great addition. Stay with a solid color and you shave another 700 off the price. Highly recommend!
hey great input here my friend thanks so much for. watching
Definitely the RAV 4 more dependable, more reliable ,more power, more space, more speed, better fuel efficiency, and a better resale if you want to sell it back, easily get parts its a winner all the way for sure no doubt a winner in my book
thanks for your input my friend great choice
I totally agree with you. Toyota Rav is a much better car. Nissan Rouge cannot touch Rav4 when it comes to reliability
@@nakiabrown994 Give me facts to prove your claim.
@@secondfirstsecond really? That's a fact! Rav is the best in its class! What makes Nissan Rouge a terrible car is its infamous CVT transmission. Overall it's a decent car, but the transmission ruins it.
@@nakiabrown994 I dont know what cvt you are talking about, but if you are on 2021 Rogue then you are talking nonsense. Nissan has redesigned and improved their 4th Gen CVT on cars manufactured 2020 onward. So just wait and see till another 5 years at least, although I have 2014 Rogue and never had any issue about CVT.

Have been driving RAV4 2015. Such a good experience! Ordered our RAV4 2021 Limited, getting it in January. Could not get anything other than Toyota. However I love the panoramic roof and wireless CarPlay in the Rouge. I’ll definitely miss those in RAV4. Thanks for your great video.

The CV-T of Rogue is not reliable versus 8 speed gear transmission of RAV4. CV-T transmission costs $7K to replace if it fails.

The Rogue wins by a long haul. Things like semi-autonomous driving with Traffic Light recognition and predictive turning curves, the better display, AMAZING dash screen that looks like something out of an Audi, and a bold non-generic design, I pick the Rogue. It's just better and I've owned nissans for 20 years now.

I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 210,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.
great comments my man keep preaching!!! glad you are happy with your Sentra

Nice video! Thanks for the info! I compared these 2 myself and bought an orange/black Rogue Platinum yesterday. It has more than enough power and I love the styling. Just couldn’t get passed the “angry fish face” of the RAV4. If they redesign the front end and offer some cool 2-tone colors, I might give them a try in the future.

Excellent review Chris! My initial thoughts are the Rav4, mainly because of the Rogue's CVT. However, I would need to drive them both since your earlier review of the Rogue showed that Nissan may be making a comeback. Thanks for the time that you put into these reviews. Great job on the mid-size SUV coverage videos. IMO, Rav4>Nissan in 2020 but the 2021 model is such an improvement. Nissan did an excellent job overall aside from having less HP than the Rav4, It's definitely a serious competitor to all other Mid-Size SUVS now. I owned the 2020 Rogue and I'll admit that it had a bland interior and sluggish acceleration however it was my go to choice because it was way cheaper than Toyota's Rav4 by a lot at the time of purchase. The pricing on the Rogue really did wonders LOL, I can spot a Rogue 30 times a day in my area compared to Rav4's. I own the 2021 version now and it's WAY BETTER but I still loved my 2020 Rogue.
wow thanks for the input John glad to see a happy Rogue owner. Its a subconscious thing what you said about seeing the Rogue 30 times a day. Its because its fresh in your mind so it stands out more. I notice that too with cars I review or sell

My wife and I had a 2016 rogue (which i disliked much more than I liked that suv for various reasons) we traded it in for the new 2021 rogue and in the small amount of time time that we’ve had it, it has been able to change my mind and how I feel about the rogue. I love that car n hopefully in the long run it doesn’t disappoint like the last one did.

Enjoyed the review and answered a lot of questions; but, what about the Nissan CVT transmission issues - have those been resolved. Crrrently have a 15 Rogue and am hoping I can trade it before the transmission gives me any problems.

Excellent balanced review of the two cars. I was disappointed to see your comments on the Toyota back seat position when you had the seat in the 15 degree recline position. I did see where you repositioned the seat behind the driver to the upright position.
Keep up the good work.

Australia needs the Nissan Xtrail (Rogue) so badly I can’t believe it will be released on 2022??? They are just missing a massive opportunity here by leaving Toyota alone with the whole market.
Great content mate.

RAV4 for its reliability. My brothers' Toyota Matrix is 10 years old and still running like brand new.
I prefer the car i like ..new design ..updated infortainment..toyota is very slow in there updation..reliability is not only the fact
the matrix were very well built cars
Mazda is also reliable, mine is 15 years old and runs like new

The Rav4 miserably fails the Moose test.
Definitely the Toyota…or should I say “Tyoda”, lol. This video had been super helpful btw…you’re good at this stuff man
thanks Rich I appreciate you commenting
I was in the market for a vehicle in this class. I test drove a Tiguan, CR-V and Rogue. I ruled out a CX-5 because of the infotainment. and the RAV4 just looked cheap inside. As someone who spends a lot of time in the car, the RAV4 was just a little too basic for me to spend 35-40k. I ruled out the Tiguan, honestly because I would have had to travel 300 miles to get the color I wanted. It was down to the CR-V and the Rogue for me. The CR-V was still a step down on interior quality but had the turbo charged engine. I decided that for me, having the turbo engine would lead to me driving more aggressive and doing more damage to the vehicle long term. I went with the Rogue SL AWD and after 8,000 miles am loving it! Far and away the best feature in my opinion, and both of them have it, is the 360 above view camera. Makes parallel parking so easy, never curbing my wheels again! LOL
hey great input here. its pretty hard to hit anything with all the sensors in your rogue. Safe travels
I love rav4 but they ruined it by making its back looks like a casket .😭😭😭
thanks for your comments the back looks ok i guess
Couldn't put my finger on it, but now i know.i was just thinking that something's wrong with the rear.

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Now that's stuck in my head!!!!🤦🤦🤦🤦 No to rav!!!🙅♂️🙅♂️🙅♂️
Both good SUV’s but if you’re planning to buy one and keep it for more than 10 years get the RAV4. The Toyota will be running well in 20 years whereas the Rogue CVT will give up after 150,000 miles or less. Nissan’s long term quality is poor.
thanks for the input my friend

rogue platinum just bought last week awesome interior
congrat on your new vehicle
I just bought the 2021 RAV4 Limited. Got a heck of a deal with zero percent financing. I went with Toyota mainly because the 203hp engine and the eight speed transmission. And Toyotas reliability. The Nissan CVT has issues. The RAV4 engine does get loud when you floor it and it does have wind noise at 70 mph. Seems to be coming from the mirrors. Definitely a design flaw by Toyota. I traded in a 2016 Rogue. I like the new Rogue design. But I don’t like buying the first generation of a new design. They Usually have more issues in my opinion.
ur not the first person to mention this about the first gen vehicles. congrats on your new vehicle
Rogue for sure hands-down it is beautiful. And champagne color it’s just magnificent
I totally agree!
Would choose reliability over looks and get the Toyota

@Cars Unlocked quick question for long term 10yrs plus which one do you recommend?
Toyota
Thanks man! Cheers!
After having my 2021 Rogue SV Premium Package since March, I would absolutely go with the Toyota. My Rogue has been in the shop 6x now and only 2700 miles. CVT issues strike again. there are a lot of new Rogue owners who are starting to experience these problems. At least 4-6 times a month, the Rogue will not accelerate correctly. The RPMs shoot up and the car won't accelerate. I literally have to pull over and restart the vehicle to make it run properly. If it wasn't for the quick reflexes of the driver heading towards me, my daughter and I would have been t-boned due to the vehicle not accelerating when I was going across the street. Needless to say, I am in the process with Nissan on buying it back. It's really too bad because this vehicle is beautiful. The safety features were exactly what I was looking for. A LOT of recalls as well which is understandable based on the first gen model. STAY AWAY FROM ROGUE FOR NOW!!!!!
sorry to hear that my friend. What year is your rogue? here in Canada we have yet to have any recalls on the 2021 models

I appreciate the kind words. Depreciation is hard to measure a lot of variables in terms of miles driven, proper maintenance and region. U guess I could just work with averages. In my experience toyotas will generally holds its value of the nissan but time will tell

In the USA nobody want old car poor contry have old toyota
@@manualidadesencasa5971 I don’t understand this comment.
@@joeanunez I think what he meant was that majority of people who buy cars as a brand new from a dealership do not intend to keep them for more than 5 -7 years. And many of them do not keep them longer than the length of the manufacturers warranty. During that time you lose 50 to 70% a purchase value anyway. So reliability is not a major factor for them.
On other hand the reliability of the car plays an important role in a used car marked. And that's why @Juan Fria mentioned "poor countries".
And answering your original question: I have 2nd Rogue. The 1st one I sold as a 5 yo I drove it for 3 years. No problems at all. The only issue I had was a bit noisy power-train and transmission. Then I bought a brand new in 2017 and drive it since then. It's a way more quite than previous generation but because has more "toys" it's also heavier and not very peppy. I have never had problems with this car. Oil change, tire rotation, regular maintenance - that's what it needs. I'm planning to replace it with something different next year just for sake of fun and not necessity.
Anyways as I can see progression in Rogue design I can assume that 2021/22 models are even better. They improved engine, giving you an extra 20hp and it's loaded with modern technologies.
cheers
cars.com has passenger volume for Rogue at 105 cu.ft. and Rav4 at 99 cu. ft., they also give cargo space to the Rogue as well. Does it just appear a little more spacious in the Rav4? The light interior probably makes it appear more spacious. We are talking 6 cu. ft. difference. Thanks for the review, I'm torn between the two.

The Nissan looks way
better. But the new Mazda CX-5 Turbo is head and shoulders above both of these vehicles in terms of interior, exterior and has way more power for my money. Wish Nissan would do away with the CVT transmission. Great job on the review !!!
hey thanks for the compliments the Cx-5 is really a nice drive
I have the current hybrid Xse pkg. and the resale value (trade in) is unbelievable. After owning for two and half years, I barely loose any money. I don’t know if you could say the same for Nissan.
you probably couldn't I do agree the rav4 will hold. it's value longer
Toyota RAV4 is an overrated hyped vehicle
We recently test drove the RAV4 limited hybrid version recently and even though the pickup was good , there was lot of road noises coming inside the car, battery noise and seats were not comfortable. The plastics are of cheap quality too. The ride quality was also harsh. Also, the price is good expensive and I would go for premium car like BMW/Mercedes instead of hybrid
Nissan Rogue 2021
We test drive and it is lot better than 2020 Rogue. The interiors, seats, Ride quality was amazing. The exterior design is decent
The downside is the CVT transmission and I wish Nissan would put 8 speed automatic transmission to sweeten the deal
Overall, in this segment I would buy Nissan Rogue 2021. Instead of RAV4, I would go for premium car

Hey #carsunlocked, really enjoy your videos. I'm really surprised that you say the Rav4 has more room in the back when it looks on the video that you are way more comfortable (and have more knee room) in the Rogue. Really tough choice between the 2...Toyota does have the edge in reliability, but Nissan has apparently improved their transmission issues. For me it's about comfort over performance (I guess I'm getting old ha) so I would pick the Rogue.
Hey great choice thanks so much for the compliment. When I was in the back of each vehicle I felt more space in the Rav. The Rogue definitely is a cut above in style and features. Thanks so much for watching
Till you buy a $6,500 Transmission...
