    “That’s some janky stuff you got there, Adam”
    “Totally”
    He says it with such pride! Adam knows his light/camera arms are janky but they’re also functionally perfect.

    • @pairot01
      @pairot01 28 днів тому +3

      It wobbles and it even fell down at the end. Functionally perfect? No, more like functionally good enough.

    • @MotoJohn
      @MotoJohn 28 днів тому +24

      @@pairot01 the imperfection is part of the function! Adam has covered this topic before, pretty sure he even goes over it in the full version of this Short (may be misremembering). Same reason he uses the built in mic on his iPhone over professional solutions. Allowing for imperfection is a deliberate choice to build viewer connection. So yeah, they are functionally perfect but we’re not just talking about the mechanical qualities 🙂

    It's been my experience that the kind of person to publicly complain about something as innocuous as that occasional squeaking sound, they'll just as soon complain about something else if the offending noise is eliminated. It's not that the sound really bothered them all that much, they just really like to complain. So save your energy and stop trying to appease the unappeasable.

  • @icecold1805

    Yknow I come to notice the sheer confidence, if not slight aggresive body language Adam has with his tools. How he slaps his phone into the rig in one swift move, was almost straight up choreographed. The guy really knows his stuff.

    • @alalalala57
      @alalalala57 15 днів тому +1

      He used to have even more of that aggressiveness when he was younger, back in early Mythbusters. I think his confidence in his older age has balanced it out better.

    I make a lot of sound effects when things are too mundane, so I enjoy the "weird noises" you hear in stuff like this.
