Can't believe what I'm seeing. Did someone from Specialized talk to my 80+y old dad? Tero X is without doubt his dream bike. You can call it whatever you want - commuter, adventure, explorer,... I'd say that is an "old mans bike" and not in a negative way! It covers all the specs he considers top value. Starting with very relaxed geometry and a comfy seat, full suspension, long mudguards, bike computer with big dials, integrated lights, rack, powerful motor and battery, good components and the list goes on. Just the seat dropper, some will be asking themself why is that usefull on such bike? Well, don't you find it usefull at traffic lights to lower your seat instead of gettig your back off it? Kudos to Specialized
I’m nearly 60 and have a couple of health issues and I’ve been using a turbo Levo for my 30 mile commute to work for the last 6 years, I’m looking for my next bike and I think this might be the one 👍
Nice! I think this is the next bike category to take off… Commuter with trail capabilities (also used to step on and off sidewalks, up/down stairs, etc). It will need a proficient locking system. Good review!
I'm 67, with two artificial lumbar discs, plus just went into remission after a 4 year battle with non-hodgkins lymphoma, my back issues took me out of biking but with the rear suspensions and modern bike geometry and assist I'm able to ride again, I had narrowed it down to two mountain bikes, Giant and Rocky Mountain, both north of $9000 cad, I'd asked if they could add fenders, lights, & kick stand, lol, the sales guy said no kick stand but you can strap on some shitty fenders, anyway I'd decided on the Rocky Mountain, the day I went into buy it last month the sales guy said a bike came in that morning with my name on it, I'm now the proud owner of the Specialized Turbo Tero X, it is an awesome bike that gets me out in the fresh air, either on the road or the trails around my home, it's the perfect compromise between the road and dirt tracks. What a difference between my hardtail hardcore mountain bike of my youth, riding again has been so liberating! I highly recommend this 'old man in denial' bike.
I’ve been on the lookout for a video like this. I don’t want two bikes and I’m willing to invest in one epic bike that can get me to work AND get met on a trail that’s not a e-gravel bike. Oh and also, class 3!! Let’s go! Thanks :)
What a lovely engaging review - I have just bought the exact same bike, same colour and spec for £2500 in UK and I am a so looking forward to it in being delivered - I have moved to Portugal so will be exploring the scenery in the Peneda - Geres national forest - Your ideas for camping etc are awesome and very inspiring - I will invesitigate - Thanks you so much for the review and safe riding . Really helpful review. Would you mind me asking how tall you are? You said you have a medium size Tero. I am a bit unsure what size to go for as I am in the middle of M and L as per their size guide. I'm 5' 10.5". Would really appreciate you advice according to your experience with this bike.
Very interesting bike for sure! I don't know the whole implications of a Class 3 bike, but don't most trails limit E-Bike usage to Class 1? It'd be interesting to see how rowdy can you get on trail with full bags and cargo!
I'm so surprised I don't see more e mountain bikes for commuting. I think we see a lot more of this style of bike soon. & people steer away from the moped/pit-bike style e bike
Thanks for this nice video. You've got me super interested in this bike. What does the Tero x 5.0 weigh that you were riding? And what size frame was it? thanks!

Fantastic review!
Mine is coming 04/02. The oak green was temporarily out of stock. Should be fun

Wow, perhaps a true quiver killer. Removable battery?? Bosses for Abus style frame lock?

Wow!! that is so cool. First thing I thought was BIKECAMPING rig. Is that front shock a RockShox Recon Silver??
At that price point they couldn’t tuck the cables to make the front look better?
Great review! Can you put road tires on the Tero for commuting in the city?
Thanks for this nice video. You've got me super interested in this bike. What does the Tero x 5.0 weigh that you were riding? And what size frame was it? thanks!
I went with a suspension seat post on my Gazelle.
