"Full-Fat" vs Lightweight E-MTB's: Which should you choose?

So you're planning on taking the plunge and picking up an E-Bike - great! But how do you choose between a traditional "Full-Fat" / Full-Powered bike vs the newer breed of Lightweigtht E-MTB's?
