  • It's not often I get Panasonic tools in for repair, but today there were 3 to look at.
Panasonic normaly make quite good quality tools but I must say I was disappointed with the quality of the multi tool. But that's not to say it isn't a good performing tool.
I was hoping to make a full video on all the tools today, but there were simply too many for one video. And the repairs video length where to long.
But I will try again with shorter format videos another time.

My mate runs Panasonic as a kitchen fitter. I got to use them and was impressed with the quality. Lighter than my makita and as powerful if not more so. Like some have said here I’ve never seen them for sale.

The wealth of knowledge that is passed along in these videos is awesome. You and AvE are the only guys doing this on UA-cam (that I can find, anyway). Great stuff as always, Dean.

@@tomalcolm Thanks for the recommendation, Tom. This stuff is always helpful as a hobbyist woodworker. People often sell or give away old equipment that would otherwise cost thousands brand new.

    Keep up the good work

Ya we don't have any good power tool repair guys over this way. Only $100 an hour glorified parts changers. Big difference between a parts changer like we have and a real technician such as Dean

I'm using that Panasonic EY74A1 for 10 years now, never broke a sweat! I never knew it is actually still brushed! And i'm really glad it seems to be the real deal as fas as quality goes. I also have an angle grinder and a jigsaw, all are fine! And it's really an eye opener as far as Milwaukee goes! I recently bought a bladesaw and impact gun from them. And straight out of the box the batteries had like 5mm of play on the tools!! I bought them because of their garage reviews and their power. Now it turns out they just programmed it to drain the battery more! Such a shame! I will be sticking with panasonic if I ever buy something new and just forget the torque reviews!
