I've never got the knack of making pipe cleaner trees until I saw this video thanks there's always a million ways of making trees. Appreciate the video.
Dude you’re off to such an amazing start! Seriously pro video editing, great pacing, and your subjects are filling niches that add to the existing plethora of creators out there. Keep going!!!!
Thank you, I really appreciate this! I’m honestly a bit blown away at how many people have watched these. I’m glad they’re being received well. Hopefully future videos continue to fill a niche. No pressure, right!? 😅
I think I’m cooking pasta tonight. Thank you for your video. I use tea leaves after my wife and I drink tea (orange pekoe type bagged). I dry it and make my own flocking that way. Love your videos.
love how you used pipe cleaner, gives a great effect... and then how you made the colour and texture using sand. easy and cheap items to use. so thanks for sharing these ideas.
When I made these type of trees many years ago I would tightly wrap the pipe cleaner tree in 1/4 inch strips of masking tape which gave it some strength. You can also use strips of plaster cast cloth wrap material (similar to what doctors put on broken bones). Great video and well done!
Looks great. Interesting work with the pipe cleaners. I had good luck using Vallejo brown earth gel (textured paint) for the tree bark. It comes already prepainted and it didn’t require too much additional effort. I used it for the ground cover also and just gave them different colored washes and dry brush to differentiate.
I’ll have to give that a try! I had some earth texture available, but was hopeful I could find something that was less expensive. I’ll give that a try on the next batch to compare 👍🌳
looking amazing. but do oregano not mold and i have a nother question how did you make you animation that show the magic rune. and can you show how you make flocking ?
Thanks so much! The dried oregano doesn’t mold, which makes it a great option. Especially after you paint and seal them with a varnish. For the animation, I have a Canva Pro account for my job, so it’s just an animation that was available to me through their website. I’ve made flocking in the past, but truthfully, I prefer the convenience of buying Woodland Scenics or a similar brand. What you see in the video is store-bought flocking.

Great tips! Getting bark texture right is always tricky. I’ll have to give those a try.
Oregano also makes excellent forest flooring especially when mixed with dried tea
Exactly!

I wonder if you could colour the polyester fluff by dunking it in watered down paint / ink instead of spraying it?
That would probably work too. I may test that out. My only fear is that it might turn out too “gloopy”, if that makes sense? Only one way to find out!
Mmmm.... Forbidden chocolate pudding
😂😂
