I watch a lot of SpongeBob clips, and this was in my recommendations. I'm one of the few who still bumps Punk in today's age, so this was really refreshing.
I have no idea why, but the line “too cool to forget” always got me and I think it’s the existential dread of having to forget cool things or that some cool things are to be forgotten to save the hurt. regardless, phenomenal composition

@@duncan91 If you're looking for a single name that's responsible for this punk-rock kind of voice, you're in for a disappointment. What I mean by my original comment is that you can listen to hours of different punk-rock songs and other varieties of punk from just the 90s to 2000 and hear this sound all over the place. All of it pre-MCR. Gerard may have been influenced by that era to some degree, but he set himself apart vocally pretty quickly.
