The design of the weapon is interesting, and the look and purpose are reminiscent of an American or British carbine for silent shooting chambered for .45ACP

@@Jack-yo2bc Yes, this is the carbine I meant. Even this the German Delisle carbine are fictional, I would like to see it in some WW2 game. For example, in Sniper Elite or Battlefield (in 1 they used a lot of weapons that were scarce or experimental)

It's weird because Atwood probably could have made a killing selling these as a legitimate product instead of creating an overcomplicated story to sell just two of them for an inflated price.
Feel like the only reason they havent made a film about this guy and his morally dubious actions is his connections to the CIA (and to an extent, America)

The real story is actually more interesting than the fake one. Wild that he had such a cool and complicated firearm made for a BS story, honestly, to me it seems like he wanted those guns for himself for whatever reason and defaulted to the BS story to recoup his investment. I think if someone wanted to make money off of scams they could just falsely mark pistols or whatever and say something like "Special SS execution luger" (and that type of stuff has been done so much there are whole books dedicated to authentic vs fake German WW2 memorabilia) but for a gun that intricate to be made in post war Germany, where guns were so heavily restricted by the occupying forces, that it's hard to believe that it was just for monetary gain.

The barrel is straight and runs trough the straight part of the stock and it's at the bottom of the front part of the rifle

And the arms dealer is just some charlatan grifter trying to sell what sounds to be untraceable covert-ops-esque combat kit that, in reality, was a rouse to make dosh with.

Ok so looking at the gun. And so much about it is just awful, such as the bolt being so far back which makes it very awkward to fire in succession, a lugar mag which at best you can by reproductions and of course the guy is CIA and doing a lot of shit.
Strange being a cartel arms and drug dealer means you are in the CIA and get a ton of immunities, though the need for such a gun is very oddly specific.
There's as much bs in the "facts" presented here as the original stories Atwood told.
