This is probably my favorite version of this song. Followed by the Legend M version where Moa sings part of the song for her 20th birthday. It's amazing how the people bow to their queen. I usually do not recommend this song this early in someone's intro to BABYMETAL, but I believe you can handle it. It's the song I recommend people check out when they say BABYMETAL ain't metal.

Babymetal "Monochrome" First take version, Su's voice is just perfection. "Metal Kingdom" Their new stuff is fantastic.
You got it alright about the massive energy on dance while having the crowd participate in that synergy.
Also KobaMetal the producer who creates this band talked about the lights and how mixing the red and blue or just going completely blue like in the next song _Akatsuki_ Unfinished Version help to creates the atmosphere and transition they need. Good thing point that out.
Certainly the girls are more comfortable with the Japanese audience, they said that on a interview, they know where to jump, where to mosh'sh and where to sing, they follow our queen commands unlike some other foreign crowds whom got different reactions and the girls need to works different.
That SuMetal death glare is her trademark, she always said that she discovered another part of her when going stage as SuMetal, she become a goddess queen ruling all over us 🦊🤘
Seems like they got infinite stamina but they worked so hard up there, sometimes ending exhausted to the point of crumbling down backstage. They got a smart way to manage their energy having a SuMetal solo while the other girls take a break and later come back performing as Black Babymetal duo while SuMetal rest a little bit.
Thanks a lot for your final thought and appreciating the hard work they put on this and every live show. Also the Kami Band is another great ingredient to this project with their blaster sound, if you want to hear more of them along with a SuMetal solo I recommend you

Today we got finally some news about the future of our girls with the METALVERSE and The Other One project, apparently hiatus will still on but meanwhile we'll get some exclusive material for those who buy that.
Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! Is a beautiful and quintessential BM song about a 15 years old girl going to her first live concert, possibly metal, on her birthday, while having melancholy for leaving childhood behind.
A complete mix of sensations with this one, for sure.
I know you like games, a couple of days ago it was released Tiny Tina's Wonderland new trailer the same day they released the game and with BabyMetal - _"Megitsune"_ song behind, edit: you already heard that one.

BABYMETAL are an awesome spectacle “live”. This is one of their most popular songs. Glad you enjoy them. They brought a dynamic and a sparkle to a genre that before them was, in my opinion, getting a bit dull. These girls are never dull. 🦊👍

Babymetal is a band best seen live, their shows are always impressive.
Great reaction and yes live BABYMETAL is always the best choice. You were absolutely right in everything you said - their stage presence, crowd control and interaction, seemingly unstoppable energy and Olympian athleticism (this was something like the 12th song of this concert and there were still two more to come), the lighting and production, the vocals, the instrumentals from the Kami Band ... basically everything involved in putting on a performance this good.
They have won international awards for things like 'Best Live Band' and so on and they deserved all those awards.
Their stage presence and crowd control is second to none - and the choreo, as well as being interpretive, is designed to involve the whole crowd - not just the first 10 rows, they get everybody up and jumping from the front row to the back of the balconies.
Su-metal's death stare is legendary - and yes, she is otherwise the sweetest young lady, but when she gives that look she is no longer that sweet, humble 5'2" girl, she seems at least 10 feet and more tall and nobody dare not do what she wants.
The Legend 1997 and Budokan Black Night live performances are usually safe to use (this was from Legend 1997 - it was December 2013 the day after Su-metal's 16th birthday. Budokan Black Night was the second of two concerts at the Budokan in Tokyo in March 2014).

Totally agree, their crowd control is really out of this world to the point it look almost effortless. But the girls are so demanding with themselves and they can end a concert frustrated if the crowd interaction doesn't match their expectations. Specially Yui and Moa (it's actually one of their jobs). This actually happened (Wembley Arena 2016) and they talked about it later. If you watch the show, it's freaking amazing. They have very high standards.
And you are totally right again about the cardio work. I run regularly and I have participated in several marathons (very amateur level). But they are on another level to be able to perform like this during 70-90 minutes on their concerts, often two back to back nights.

@@martinmetal7481 Good morning from Japan. Thanks for reply. My question was raised because of the synthesized image in the new video. I saw Su's ear (like Yoda), Moa's nose (rounded) and Momoko's eye (almond shaped). Speaking of the unclear third figure, many guys say it could be Momoko, Yui, Sato Hinata, Sato Neo ... etc. Of course, there could not be any third person at all. I was trapped and that is the situation Koba wants.😄
Try their performance of 'Karate' at the UK Download festival in 2016. It's not an official video that the band themseleves released so it'll be much less likely to get a copyright claim. And it's also a totally different vibe to see them perfom an outdoors show in front of a non-Japanese crowd.
And ya the cardio workout is no small feat, and I think it's a big part of *why* the audience is so responsive. You see how hard they're working up there on stage, and how precise and perfect their performance is and it really motivates you as an audience member to participate as much as you can in the moment with them. It's a really wild experience to be in a crowd like that and feel that you're a big part of the show too. We are BABYMETAL!

One of my favorite line uttered by a Babymetal reactor came from a professional vocal coach for Broadway singers.. marveling at their absolute control of their voices while jumping around and dancing se said, "these girls are Olympic-level vocal athletes".
If for this reason alone everyome should give these ladies rheir much deserved due.

Great reaction! Everything you said puts them above all other bands in my opinion. There is so much going on - the music, the dancing, the crowd interaction, the stage designs, the musicianship... - and every single one of those aspects is on such a high level. It's a real phenomenon to me.
The obvious recommendation in terms of live performance would be "Road of Resistance" live in Japan, but that's one of the videos that will definitely get blocked unless you take measrures to avoid it. So I'd recommend a newer song called "Pa Pa Ya". The official music video shows live footage over the studio track, and it's a pretty captivating show as well.

Sounds to me like we might be getting some digital representation of the BABYMETAL girls or something. Still leaves a lot of question marks over Su and Moa‘s future. I was hoping it meant something new was about to be unleashed. I admit I laughed when I saw the name though. Excellent reaction. Liked your comments a lot. As far as the girls dancing around, yes they do that on every song except one or two a concert. In this concert on the very next song, Akatsuki (Unfinished Ver.) SuMetal sings a great solo ballad. At the end of this song Su bangs and gong and then falls down. The lights go out and when they go up Su sits up and just pours her heart out in a great song. That one is well worth the wait.

Su's 16th birthday was the day before the concert. Yui and Moa were 14. At the time of the official MV, Su was 14 and Yui and Moa were 12! Su's "Death Stare" is both famous and scary. You should react to Babymetal "Death" that is the closing performance for this concert.
They pretty much go at this pace for the entire concert.

Moametal (Moa Kikuchi) has talked about the members working intensively on core strengthening before starting a tour.
Su-metal (Suzuka Nakamoto) has mentioned that she has worked on controlling her breathing, in order to sing and dance at the same time without sounding out of breath.
They are athletes, no question.
Even though that looked like the finale, it was followed by two more songs.
It was part of a five song encore with the live Kami Band.
Even though the song is about a fifteen year old girl attending her first heavy concert, Su was only fourteen when this was recorded.
It's not biographical, but it is a song she could relate to.
At that age she was performing on stage, rather than taking the train to see shows like the girl in the song.
I wish she got more straight up rockers like this one, she can certainly deliver them.

Ending "THE ONE" before announcing "THE OTHER ONE" is classic Koba humor.
I think it should be pointed out: the Babymetal choreography exists to allow Su-metal to breath and the setlist/show elements (introduction videos for a songs, etc.) are all designed to give the girls a breather. Babymetal shows are never longer than 1,5 hours and most of the time just a single hour.

After rewatching your reaction, I have to say, you have one of the most complete comments of any reactor when it comes to the performance of the girls (excluding some vocal coach-type reactors).
And you are completely right about the aerobic exercise of this performance/many of their songs, I have a anecdote about that. Babymetal is part of a bigger company and was part of a parent group. Other girls in that group wanted to cover one of Babymetal's songs for a one time live performance. These girls are trained professionals (but still very young, about the same age as Babymetal at the time of this performance). And they said: after trying to perform the song ones they were already dead. These days Babymetal are so well trained, it almost seems like they don't even break a sweat (their clothes are designed to be breathable of course). A big part of their training routing is: perform Babymetal setlists, thus training/practice everything. For really big shows they would perform it multiple times a day, at least ones as a sound check, etc. and ones live.

Yes please! Akatsuki (Unfinished ver.) came right after Headbanger at this show, and along with the final song Babymetal Death, it told a bit of a story for the lead singer Su's 16th birthday. Highly recommend watching both of those next two songs, as they're quite a rollercoaster together with what you just saw, Molly.

Generally, if you add a watermark to the video you'll have absolutely no problems with copyright strikes and blocks. You literally used "water" for this one, but I'm not sure that's enough obscuring. A giant Babymetal (or whatever you like) watermark covering most of the screen and at 50% opacity or more usually does the trick.

Nice reaction. And the crowd goes wild is a great way to put a Babymetal live experience. Su-metal stage presence is crazy high. She comes off as being at least 10' tall on stage. When off stage Su is around 5'2". Major contrast in just about everything Babymetal does and is. When on stage with Yui and Moa, Babymetal can be seen from space. When asked if you could talk to your younger self what would you say. Moa said make sure you stretch before dancing. With age comes wisdom. Next you should checkout Babymetal live at SonicSphere 2014. their first big appearance outside of Japan at a music festival. Hardly anyone knew who they were at that time. Babymetals stage presence is front and center. Babymetal just put out a teaser for their next album on youtube. Enjoy your journey through the Babymetal galaxy of music.
Babymetal really are unbelievable on how they control the crowd, in other songs you can even see it more. Audience is truly hypnotized when they are on the stage.

All three girls are specially chosen for their roles. They were originally a part of the idol factory (for girls) called Sakura Gaukin. And it was quite early obvious that Su (the lead singer) had a very strong stage presence. And the other two girls (Moa and Yui) are super best friends and very small and kind of impish together. And they are both excellent dancers. So, they had this idea at SG. Why not make a try at metal? Then Su was 13 and Moa and Yui 11. And they made the music movie Doki Doki Mornin. Look it out if you have not seen it. It is a banger. And this was the start of it all.
BTW - there is a cute story. Someone asked Yui what she wanted to be when she grew up and she said 1.67 (5 foot 6) and, of course, she never even got close to that, she actually became 1.5 m (5 foot) when grown up.

The words are "ki-e-ro 消えろ!" meaning "get out of here!" (addressed to crybabies in the metal concert). This crowd's shout in Japanese occurs wherever BM goes on this planet and whenever Su-Metal turns her mic towards audiences. Your Twitter tells you are residing in NY so you can find a fan-cam video in YT with keywords "Babymetal - Headbangerrr!!! - New York 9/15/2019" and see over 3,000 New Yorkers doing the same thing 🤣.
You noticed blue and red lighting. That is BM's policy to use these 2 colors + white for their stage production. It remains the same even in last year's show, 8 years after this video.
I'm still hoping for another BABYMETAL reaction since I could only find three, which is way short of their catalogue of at least 47 songs + covers! Your commentary added value which is not always the case with reactors. So if you're still interested in hearing more, then I think a lot of people will be excited to follow along. The group has recently released two new singles from their upcoming album and they will also be touring again next year.
I stumbled across some babymetal cover songs recently. There are some really good drummers and guitarists that do a fantastic job... But it's the dance covers and the singing covers, (and the combined dance/singing covers), although fairly decent for what they are, they don't even come close what babymetal does on stage. They REALLY make you appreciate just how difficult it is to do these performances at such a high level. The aerobic fitness, the synchronization and the singing while maintaining such a huge presence and making it all look effortless. And like you said, not just 1 song, but a whole concert. It's amazing.
This is such a fun song. Certainly one of their best. This live performance is outstanding. Not sure if anyone has suggested it yet, but if you like Babymetal you might enjoy an all girl hard rock band, BAND-MAID. It's not a comparison to Babymetal but just another great band to explore. Many fans like both groups. If you do decide to check them out, my suggestion would be "Domination" live or "Play" live. Cheers!

Background and release:-
Unlike previous tracks released by the band, which had her vocal recorded in segments within the songs, Nakamoto had her lines recorded in a single take several times. She had been told to sing and find a story within the music. By the time she had comprehended the story behind the lyrics, she grew capable of singing the entire song naturally. When Mizuno and Kikuchi listened to her shouting "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" for the first time, they felt as if they had seen another cool side of her, surprised by the vocal power. Additionally, the single introduced the members to the whispering style of singing, with the A-side's "Kiero!" (Disappear!) and the B-side's "Uki Uki Midnight". Kobametal was inspired to use it to contrast traditional death growls.
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" was announced as a single on April 27, 2012, with a release date set for July 7, 2012. The single was released in two versions: a standard edition, available via CD and digital formats, and a physical limited Hedo-ban ("Head edition"), which contains a CD and a "neck corset" (actually a cervical collar) for headbanging training.[5] Both editions of the single feature the songs "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" and "Uki Uki ★ Midnight" (ウ・キ・ウ・キ★ミッドナイト, "Exhilarating Midnight"), along with instrumental versions (labeled as "Air Vocal ver."). The standard version contains an enhanced CD with a bonus music video of "Babymetal Death", which can only be played on a computer. The artwork of the standard edition depicts a lyric in the song, specifically when the girl is headbanging with the corset, with the crimson-colored moon in the background, as well as the band name appearing at the top. The limited edition artwork depicts a temple scripture of the "Corset of Legend" with the song title spelled out in the middle.
Before the physical international release of the song, its title was written ambiguously as either "Head Bangya!!" or "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", the latter of which is officially used in the international re-release of Babymetal and all future releases. The music video uploaded to the band's UA-cam channel initially had the former name, though it was switched to the latter in 2015; the version uploaded by Toy's Factory consistently retained the official title.
Tekina Remix:-
During the live performances Legend "D" Su-metal Seitansai at Akasaka Blitz on December 20, 2012, and Legend "1997" Su-metal Seitansai at Makuhari Messe on December 21, 2012, a remix titled "Night of 15 mix." was performed, containing more elements of electronic music. The former took place on Suzuka Nakamoto's actual fifteenth birthday, while the latter was the opening song for the concert. Remixed by DJ'Tekina//Something, the song was later released as part of Social Reform promotional editions of the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", and later appeared on DJ'Tekina//Something's remix album Kawa-EDM (2016), re-subtitled as "Tekina Remix".

The KamiBand are the instrumentalists (or backing band) in BABYMETAL - Each member is a "god (Kami) of music" summoned by The Fox God stage by stage. All the Kamis are male except for the Babymetal girls. The Kami Band wear corpse face paint and white robes depicting Japanese 🇯🇵 spirit. The Kami Band have their own jobs and side-projects in addition to BABYMETAL.

You should look at (or even react to) their budokan concert, especially "Akatsuki" and "Rondo of Nightmare" (with Mischiefs of metal gods intro). I read somewhere that Su-Metal would practice singing the songs while running on a treadmill, to build up stamina for live performances. Plus remember that all of them trained since pre-teens as J-Pop singers with combined singing and dancing

I'm glad you appreciate Yui and Moa. Some people think that they're just cute girls who dance. It is all a performance. And not easy. They spent countless hours practicing those cute looks. Not to mention the dancing.
Also I don't think 'aerobic' is the right word. Those are explosive movements. That is definitely not aerobic. You are definitely taxing your body to do that. They never even look very sweaty. I know their costumes and hair are designed to conceal sweat but that only goes so far. Su looks very sweaty sometimes but Yui and Moa don't. And they do it all with picture perfect facial expressions the entire time. It does help that they weigh only slightly more than an ant and are 14. They don't dance like that anymore. Not as vigorously. They even got a 15 year old girl to fill in for Yui and she doesn't do it at that level. There are several Babymetal cover bands and those girls are cute. But they are nowhere near the level of performance of Yui and Moa. Night and day.
Su did modeling before she started singing. She won a modeling contest at 5. Those skills add a lot to her stage presence. She knows how to look for the camera (and the crowd). But Su always had the 'death glare' even before Babymetal when she was doing Jpop. That is partially why she was chosen and actually why Babymetal even exists.

Su-Metal (Suzuka "Crowd Control" Nakamoto) has one of the best Death Stares in all of metal. And she can melt your heart with her smile.
YuiMetal (Yui Mizuno) has a stare that steals souls. And cheeks that scream to be pinched.
MoaMetal (Moa Kikuchi) can only smile. Her attempts at a Death Stare turn out to be Death Smirks.
This band is like no other. Heck, they aren't even like themselves in some songs. Definitely unique, and entertaining as hell.

Japanese copyright law is no joke. Things like that "Fair Use Act" are American laws, so they don't apply to Japan, and they take that stuff seriously, unfortunately.
You know you've watched this version a lot when you can feel that tiny glitch at 2:23 coming.
A lot of their crowd control is due to it being a Japanese crowd, I'm afraid. Their conformist culture makes it much easier for them to all do the same things at the same times. I've been to their shows in the US, and unfortunately, I'm one of the only ones who responds. I'd love to be at one of their Japanese shows someday.
