Well, I reckon we all can appreciate this small nibble of TFW, a real joy in this strangest of years! Good to catch you again. Looking forward to the next adventure. Thanks and cheers.

Always a pleasure to watch your videos. Hopefully your next adventure has more legs but it wouldn’t be much of an adventure if it was all straight forward. Thank you for generously sharing your adventure’s with us it’s very much appreciated

Great video and thank you for sharing. I am going to lighten my summer pack load over winter ready for the upcoming summer season. Some great kit choices

I just found your channel, my best friend and I like hiking in our home of sunny Australia, particularly the Australian alpine region, your videos are just a complete contrast of the environments we hike in, we’ve really enjoyed them. I’ve particularly enjoyed your videos of making your own gear. I hope you’ll get more chance to hike in 2021!

Thanks for all your info guys. Just a quick tip, if the one of you on the right could interrupt less, could be nice. Seem eager to share which is great, and appreciated. But there's a tendency to say your thing about whatever guy on the right starts to talk about, as soon as he starts. So he has to patiently wait. Sharing patience could make things even better! (Guy on left, very admirable patience!)

Thanks again for the insights 😎 Leaving the trail early is never fun (been there, done that), but great to reflect! One comment about the fuel bottles: I would take the labels off and mark them more clearly, so nobody accidentally takes a slug from it.

Hi Guys - great to see you back again! Maybe an idea to check out the Nikwax series of proofing products - footwear, tents & rucksacks, Down Wash and Down Proofer as a way to give all gear a good clean and allow you to set off into the wet weather with maximum repellency! I think small one man tents and tarps are OK if rain is sporadic, but if it is regular and routine I wonder if an extra open sided Tarp just to provide some additional shelter area out front - more weight I know - but makes relentless conditions more bearable... Well done for tackling continuous rain - and even better for coming to a decision to stay safe and call it a day!

15:45 that's a good point few reviewers mention. I feel that I would be concerned by that. Did you find some kind of body lotion or method to avoid rough feet?

I started the CWT in mid October this year and the exact same happened to me, I had to step out at Shiel Bridge as the rivers got far too sketchy. It's such a hard decision to make, but you made the right one, safety is so important. Fingers crossed for take 2 in May!

I know this comment doesn't sound nice, I'm so sorry! But have you tried washing and really fluffing the decathlon jackets? I've worn mine both on hikes and just as my everyday jacket for two years now, and it's still good as new after a wash (though the drying process is a bit time consuming - I would just whack mine all over with a ruler when it was half dry, then every hour or so after that), so I'm just surprised it's already so worn down for you! It really makes a world of difference. On the other hand, my OR Helium wet out on the first day I had serious rain on a November GR70, so I'm going to need to figure out what I'm doing wrong, if it worked so well for you!

It would be a good to see how those cheap quilts would feel after a good wash and loft. I've seen a bunch of videos on how to wash down quilts. The most important part is running it on the dryer with some tennis balls to loft the down.

you can get the cicerone guidebook on kindle on your phone :) - nice video - i did the CWT in may 2018 - 7 days of 30 degrees sun and no rain ... such a different experience to other hikes in scotland i have done - but great trail, loved the self navigation and remoteness of the landscape :) - hope you get back some time and complete it

@@twofoolswalking2109 definitely :) mid may is usually the best weather window, combined with no/very few midges

Thanks for providing the debrief video which I requested 👍
Have you listed your gear anywhere online, as I would like to get a few of the items - definitely one of those hats, and also interested in the combined shorts - are they another Decathlon item?
Had looked to get the same quilt as you both, but after zero hikes this year (sadly lost my Mum to Covid, and then broke my foot) am looking to save up for a better quality quilt so I can do some winter hikes (lockdown permitting)
Anyway thanks again, and I look forward to your next adventure (or kit creation). ATB

I hope that you both (and your family) are well and keeping safe.
In anticipation of the end of lockdown (hopefully) in not too many weeks, I have been rewatching some of your videos.
      Was therefore wondering whether:
      a) you had any hiking adventure(s) planned for later this year?
      b) if CJ had used some of lockdown to work on further MYOG projects?
      c) have you changed any of your gear or made a wishlist ie. what are you replacing your trail runners, sleeping bags and pads with?
      d) can you post a short upload to let us know how you are both getting on?
      Thanks & ATB 👍
