- Back in 2003 Velvethammer Management and Maverick Records released this promo DVD. The DVD was a preview of the Deftones upcoming self titled fourth album. "Deftones" was released in May of 2003.
Impossible to have a favorite album. I'm addicted to all of them.

Agree. It’s still to me one of the most interesting and at the same time completely epic songs in the whole catalogue. That being said, since I had got a copy of this lil promo dvd before the album dropped, I still prefer this shortened version played here along with the check one two intro. More raw. I love the “complete “ version as well but I think this does everything needed. I wonder if adding the bridge part was an afterthought or suggestion from terry date to pad out the songs run time a bit
Minerva was the first song I ever heard by them and I loved it so much that I decided to go buy the self-titled album when it came out so I could hear what else these guys could do. However, it was hearing Hexagram the very second I started playing the album that made me realize I was hearing something very special and that Deftones were unlike anything else I'd experienced in music. I immediately bought Adrenaline, Around The Fur and White Pony, as well, and they've been my favorite band ever since. Excited for Ohms in September!

Adrenaline is an absolutely insane album for any time period. Consider how on the edge of punk it is, and yet still coming at you w deep California roots. The energy and tones, the impenetrable screams and the patented soft coos, the Cunningham slamming like he's trying to break his drum set. ITS JUST SUPER PISSED.. AND THIS WAS MID 90S!! I was 8!!

I've been going insane checking several times a day for news on the title and artwork for the new album. Deftones have a way of making their fans go nuts waiting for this info.

Peter Anderson Huge Tool fan here man, I been listening to Tool since '95. This 10 year wait for the next album is shitty. Maynard spends too much time at his vineyard, and with Puscifer. But I am happy to say that Maynard is recording the vocals for the new Tool album. He is in his own studio, while the rest of the band is down the street at another studio recording the music. So it's coming.
I remember when this EPK was released....first time I found myself fully engulfed by a press release to amp people for an upcoming record. I was so pumped and the boys didn't disappoint. Deftones for life ❤️

I bought the "deftones live at Hawaii 2002" dvd on ebay and instead of coming with the correct dvd, it came with this dvd

@@bmoneyrancidfan91 Okay yeah, I just got through watching the DVD. It’s definitely not on there. Is it on the enhanced version of the self titled? Did you have to unlock it by playing the White Pony Pac-Man game? Or was it entirely separate from that. My memory tells me it’s on one of the CDs I bought.

Houston from houston I love the Self-titled album. The band sees it as " not our best album ". Chino was really bad on drugs (cocaine) and recognized that he had a problem, and stopped. That's why he got kinda fat around 2003. So they call this album and Saturday Night Wrist as their, " Dark Days ". Bands are always better when they're doing drugs, but I don't think so in the Deftones case. They just got older, grew up, and progressed with their music. Every band changes. I don't care what anyone says... Deftones still kick ass!!! Period.
