The fact that people have to pay an exorbitant amount of money to receive a degree is mind boggling considering all that info is already available to easily access. You could compile those videos, run ads, and let people learn from them for free. Think about how many people could receive a college education for free just by using a service like that? Considering it would cost the government nothing to do such a thing, they’d have plenty of extra money to pay for the education of those students interested in fields that require on-site education, such as those in the STEM and trade school fields. Hell, there’d be plenty of money to cover the cost of community college as well. It’s just crazy that there isn’t a college education program out there that doesn’t cost money. Thousands of jobs merely want someone with a college degree, regardless of their major or their actual competency and knowledge. Why should we force people to pay money to go work in those fields? Why can’t they just watch some videos that already exist and take a few tests for free instead? The student loan bubble is no joke. @slider2699 --- so you're considering the Democratic party Leftist!?!? I'd say that's a big mistake. Left wing is representative democracy. We the people. The oligarchs (right wing) and corporations have usurped the power of the purse, the elections process and the courts. Every other "left vs right" (economics, social justice, religion) has been instigated by the oligarchs, bible thumpers and military industrial complex. "No, I'm not a revolutionary. The corporations are the revolutionaries. They aren't in the constitution... We the people, are." - Ralph Nader "Liberty of the people never was, or will be secure, if the finances of their rulers remain hidden from them." - Patrick Henry

@Lone Wisdom Yang isn't necessarily Neoliberal. Most Leftists use this as a smear without actually knowing what it is in its academic context. Neoliberal isn't just "any Democrat to the Right of me."
Right wing doesn't care about women, or anyone. It's about capitalism. So of course the right is not "anti-women" just as it isn't "pro-women". In my opinion, anyone who considers himself a Democrat OR a Republican is pretty ignorant in my book. We have a herd mentality and choose sides. It can be good; it can be bad. It originates from a primitive survival instinct. Or it could just be our ego and not wanting to admit that deep down we know we don’t have the answers to life, society, etc. Conservatives tend to be less able to views things in an abstract and hypothetical way, sometimes unable to empathize unless it affects them. Liberals sometimes think about things in such an abstract way to the point where their sentiment can have no real-world benefit. Conservatives speak to the “Take responsibility and stop whining” sentiment.” Essentially meaning if you achieve on your own, you’ll feel better about yourself and your future prospects. Too much of this can lead to exploitation of the meek and powerless. Liberals emphasize unwavering care and empathy towards each other and looking out for your brother. Too much of this can lead to an expectation of “someone will always help me” and can lead to loss of purpose and meaning. We need both schools of thought for a society to function. Each philosophy keeps the other in check. Yin and yang. When one really breaks down these concepts into their component parts, we realize we’re actually pretty similar and we only differ very slightly. At the root of these topics we tend to only have a slight philosophical bent, but once we establish that we did indeed lean a certain way, we seem to unknowingly add extremes onto it in order to distinguish ourself from the other. All this is aside from what the modern democratic and republican parties represent. They just represent corporate interests like greed and sensationalism. Both full of shit. We need to stop letting liberal and conservative talking points dictate our feelings and opinions. Seriously think really hard about every perspective and try your best to form a reasonably objective, practical and considerate opinion. It’s a freeing feeling. Don’t go out of your way to offend people, but at the same time don’t worry if you offended someone if it wasn’t your intent. Care for others if you can, but more importantly, care for yourself.
doesn't matter if you consider yourself a moderate. If enough people categorize themselves at moderate, it eventually becomes a bias that categorizes opposing ideology as the enemy. Ever see Fight Club? it explores that philosophy. Its inherently human to follow a "herd mentality" and its inherently human to be competitive against a common enemy.
J R I understand the logic in what you’re saying. If enough people start thinking in middle, then that becomes a new side for there to be an opposing side. No, but that is a movie that’s on my watch list. I feel like my point still makes sense in a time in which we live in echo chambers and sound bites and people tend to only think in absolutes on things like immigration, gun rights, abortion, etc. I’m not necessarily saying become a moderate. I’m just saying a lot need to consider all sides and learn about all perspectives before coming to a conclusion. I do want to watch fight club now.

ALSO, he has jealously issues, since he thinks he is responsible for Yang's rise, and Yang hasn't come to his show for the 2nd time.

Occasionally, he puts his guests into
argumentative chokeholds, by asking very specific, razor-sharp questions.

Joe "my views change depending on who is in front of me unless they criticize pot" Rogan
I've noticed that as well.
Well said.
doesn't matter if you consider yourself a moderate.

@@brandonwiebe2647 Unfortunately you're right.
All marriages should be abolished
I have a massive amount of respect for Joe Rogan after watching this.
I wonder if he still feels like that since he escaped California
Exactly... He found out who the left truly is now 😂
All these people are running to Texas to escape from California Democrat policy’s and they are trying to ruin Texas the same way just look at Austin
Joe's from Massachusetts...so, no surprise here.
I know he said it in a different clip but Yang, man 😭
He said he’s been a progressive! Liberal is not the same thing. It’s semantics but Hillary is liberal and Bernie is progressive.
Joe, Broken Families and Broken Marriages are a root cause of that Poverty Cycle.
You can just make up a job. A job is something you do in exchange for money by creating value for the person paying you. You can't just make busy work and expect the economy to be alright in response.
“What you need is jobs” -no. It’s not that simple. We can’t just offer jobs because government says too. 15 dollar minimum wage is not the answer.
It’s funny because joe is all about competition on one end in sports, but doesn’t understand that same competition is what makes a culture grow.
We need better parents, we need better communities. We need to stifle the gang culture in big cities. This all comes back to small local government stuff. Not national rhetoric.
Everyone is this country wants a stronger economy in impoverished communities. But asking big government to fix community problems isn’t the answer. Every community needs leaders, asking big gov to be that leader for every community is an impossible task and gives individuals the wrong idea. Teaching people that big government is going to solve their local community problems just makes no sense. These issues need to be solved on a more personal level. Big government stands no chance on issues like this
They stand a chance of fucking us all over massively with hair brained schemes intended to "help".
foxhound963 well what do you expect? The democrats where for slavery, the democrats were racists, the democrats pushed for planned parenthood in majority of black communities. The democrats have done whatever they can to make sure other races stay as low as they possible can.
I've been conservative my whole life but joe has a good point...... As always
Dude what about Yang
I think he had Yang on just because he talks about UBI.
Yang is done, he's 3% in the polls. Time to focus your energy elsewhere.
Dave but Tulsi also isn't doing good and he mentioned her
@@atryan1125 In the end it doesn't really matter what Joe Rogan thinks. Look, I think Yang and Tulsi bring some really valid arguments and points to the table, I don't agree with all of their points but I think they are valuable people in furthering the political conversation. Ultimately, they are both not in contention for the democratic nomination so all they really are at this point is just idea creators nothing more. Do you honestly believe either of them have a shot at being the president of the United States? I think if you say yes than you're just deluding yourself. I think it's fine to support their ideas but if your a voter you have to look elsewhere for your vote.
Dave he’s 8% nationally
I think Joe is more conservative minded than liberal minded. Just my opinion.
No you compulsive tomfoolery exhibiting jackanape.
I hate when Joe conflates right wing with being anti-womens rights, anti-gay, and pro war. I would consider myself a right leaning moderate and i know many right wing people. None of have those beliefs. I know thats anecdotal but just because fringe sides of each political side believes extreme things doesnt mean those fringe minority groups of people get to define that side.
No kidding about West Virginia. I'm from NC and every time I have driven through WV. I have never understood how anyone could bare to live there. It seems terribly depressing. No offense to any good folks in WV, it's just the parts I have seen near the coal areas. God Bless those folks.
Joe ´´i adapt my political views to the guest´´ Rogan
Moderation is the way
Joe I’ve been liberal my whole life Rogan
If it weren’t for liberalism in the 1940’s, we’d all be speaking German today.
"We got money, we'll give you a job but you gotta go work." Yet, a majority of the people who need this don't want to work. I've seen it.
Chris Perkins exactly, just because a job is available doesn’t mean they have work ethic. Many will make up stupid excuses to not take the job.
Because of the system we have in place currently. It fucks around with peoples head. We need to do a better of understanding why people are the way they are.
We can’t paint everyone with the same brush. I think majority of people want to do something with their life.
Why is it so easy to give billions and billions of dollars to Israel but so impossible to give some of it to our own?
theLou because Israel is more important to America’s vast interests than single towns in America do. Just an ugly truth
Why doesn't Joe like Andrew Yang? That's messed up
Freedom Dividend News he seemed to liked him when he had him in the podcast, I think he just forgot to mention him. Let’s see if he does in the next one.
No what's messed up is Yang wanting more of my money to give to lazy freeloaders.
@@sandlotscout6358 so you would rather have freeloaders like Amazon have it? I mean they paid zero taxes. Also what about the stay at home mom, caretaker, people who volunteer, create art, do all the other sorts of things of value that they aren't paid to do?
He does like Yang.
@@sandlotscout6358 it's not quite that, once you think of it in terms of everyone getting it. A similar universal program would be Social Security and Medicare, which is wildly popular even among Republicans. It's based upon this idea that in a civilized developed society, because we can help our neighbors, we should. This is why police officers, ambulances, and high school are covered by taxes. It's a necessary expense.
Also, Yang would argue that lazy people will be lazy anyway. Giving them money to survive wouldn't necessarily increase their laziness. Studies show that productivity and morale would increase for MOST people if you increase their income.
To say otherwise would be like saying that if a boss increases a worker's salary, he'd stop working. That's just not true, it's a morale BOOSTER.
Finally, unless you're a BILLIONAIRE, you wouldn't pay much of anything. Yang wouldn't raise taxes on the middle class.
I
Joe forgot school choice. Convenient.
