I would really like to see a more in depth video on food insecurity and the ways in which some communities are addressing it. It is alarming how little people seem to know about how things grow and what it takes to bring food to their plates. In wartime in Britain, public parks and even a large (now grassed) roundabout in front of my dad's house was repurposed into emergency food production. See 'Dig for Victory' campaign. If you've got a window box, balcony or garden, consider growing what you can. And if you have a surplus, maybe share with a neighbour, or swap even. And if you can, maybe donate some to your nearest soup kitchen/homeless shelter. I agree and worry about sustainability. I think we need to think carefully about the way our attitudes toward food have changed, and how we as a society have been seduced by advertising and convenience against our best interests. We need to rethink essentials our grandparents had never heard of. We need to research for ourselves where our food comes from, and at what true cost to our health and environment.

Cripes! I stumbled on the other channel by accident... I actually cried. I was so RELIEVED to hear someone with the knowledge to explain what was happening to my country. I'll bet others have told you how alone they felt. Now, I know there are a few thousand out there... I'm probably one of the oldest. This gives me hope for the future. There ARE people out there that truly know what honor and loyalty to an oath means. When I pledged alligience to our flag and country in school, in scouts and 4-H, I meant it. To watch and hear Trump's disrespect of all I honored while those around me just accepted him without censure... then with cheers... I just don't believe our country could dissolve it's honor and memories so fast?! Thanks to you, your team, your family, and other followers of your channels.
Outstanding Beau! And I really appreciate the effort you're putting into this new content, your time is a limited resource and we can't thank you enough for what you are able to give us.
Would love stuff that could be used for school, US history, economic style stuff, government stuff. Your one of the rare few people who are great at teaching complex ideas simply and to have that kinda stuff would help a lot of people understand how this country works.
Exciting and essential . An informed culture is part of the road out of these disturbing times. Looks like a good way to take American culture back from the misinformation disease .
Really looking forward to this new content. I have trouble with the idea of community building, as I have some major anxiety issues, so this coud be very helpful for me to get started. Thank you so much for what you're doing.

I'm excited for this channel and I think it's smart doing the two. What you're pitching sounds like many of the other videos I watch on other channels. It was your videos on gun control that first got me to subscribe. While there are a lot of topics out there that could be discussed I would love to see some in depth ones about gun control, responsible gun ownership, what laws out there are changing and what may (or may not) be effective. I'd also love to hear more talked about community involvement, getting involved and tips on staying safe.
I am super happy to start this journey with you. Cannot wait for a weekly, in-depth conversation/education! Your philosophy and views on life and living are inspirational. Thank you again Beau!
Yes! An accessible way of learning about the parts of America that get left out of discussion would be great! Could be a good way of introducing the idea of open boarders.
He wouldn't have to go himself. We've learned so much, under COVID, about doing remote connections. A local correspondent in more remote places would have personal knowledge and context to offer, making it more fully rounded than a flying visit from an outsider, no matter how much research they've done. The combination of viewpoints would be useful for dialogue.
Way cool! Professor Beau's practicum, lecture series, travelog, interactive learning and comedy channel for us ordinary folk. Seriously, though, this is great! - You already know many of us are looking forward to seeing networking in practice - observing really will help solidify what we've read and heard. - I'd be very interested in how a network selects initiatives and garners buy in. Are there strategies on the best things to do first? - Perhaps ways to integrate network action with local legislative initiatives, if that has any value. - More in depth discussion on effective communication methods in different situations. Perhaps using real life clips to illustrate the points (or even acted "scenarios" if you've got thespian friends!). I think seeing the techniques in action is really valuable. - You've mentioned demos on preparedness - I think you'll have a rapt audience. Beyond basics, if there are differences based on area of residence (urban/suburban/rural, costal/mountain/prairie, etc.), segments to highlight special considerations for each. - Please continue to interweave historical backgrounds for practical action into your presentations. That's one of your strengths. - Perhaps put a categorized reading list, or link to one, in the description so that we can read more on the topics covered in the videos. (Or even read ahead! That would be great! It's one of the ways I, personally, learn best.) - As this channel progresses, I know your viewers will come up with many ideas. - Have I mentioned I'm really excited about this channel? No? Allow me to remedy that... Beau, this is terrific!!!
I would love to have practical networking videos. That's the only way I really learn. I have a hard time applying theory to practice because of some problem solving and executive functioning issues I have and I really crave specific and actionable things. THANK YOU SO MUCH! I hate that I have no idea how to organize or gather support for a cause. I'm not personable and an neurodivergent enough that the NT world just doesn't tolerate it much. But I can fake it enough if I've got examples in situ to draw from or a specific and practical thing to do. Otherwise I follow instructions well. But following instructions well doesn't help when no one is organizing and there isn't an existing mutual aid and community network, So very much look forward to it. Hopefully will answer a burning need for specific input. How does one go about trying to be someplace that you help/use as an example?
Beau, Over the last month I've listened to over 800 of your videos while at work. Thank for your time and for being a voice of common sense. You deal with some heavy subjects in an easy to understand way, which I appreciate. Thank you. As for a location Grand Rapids, Michigan
I’m all in! getting in on the ground level. love the community around Beau, there’s a truckload of knowledge in the comments alone and a relentless, refreshing approach to dealing with any encroaching ignorance. I’d be interested in an action-oriented path -maybe some calls to action/alerts for specific things we could all do/unite to get progressive policies pushed through/get on a sustainable path/the list goes on- hands-on ways to push progressive ideas. and help our fellow man. anybody else think of (yes, a completely different, Southern) John Oliver? This is going to be GREAT.
Sub'd. I look forward to seeing your deep dives on history. Something I'd like to see addressed is how the "working class" isn't just steelworkers or farmers or manual laborers any more, but includes people who make what seems to be a ridiculous amount of money... but live in a place where the cost of living is so high that the money is eaten by landlords and rent. I'd like to see you talk with some specific types of workers, too - Call Centers are a big deal, and call center workers are often treated like garbage. I'd like to see you talk about how to organize not just community, but even that dirty, dirty word.... unions.
I'd like to see a piece, not so much about unions, which have had a long and proud history in America, but also about how they've been emasculated and subverted over recent decades, especially by the PTB and The Mob. I know what's been done to them here in Australia. I'd be interested in Beau's perspective.
I appreciate your thoughtful consideration for us viewers and subscribers. You have been quite adept at fully addressing events and issues in the short videos, which is why I watch each one. I am so very glad you're not scuttling it for the new channel and new content.

Please don’t overwork yourself. I already worry about the amount of sleep you get. I have a terrible sleeping schedule but your always awake it seems.
What Rachel said.
Yeah, while I have no idea of how much or little rest and leisure time you get, please take care of yourself, mate, and remember to put yourself and your family first. Oh, and looking forward to this channel :) !
Well, he has kids so it's not like he was sleeping much anyway.
He is former military or adjacent so i get a feeling his sleep schedule was already kind of permanently.....not normal lol
@@drizzt102 Maybe we could hire a drill sargeant to come by his house and order him to get some R&R.
Exactly what Darrell said. Sincerely.
A thousand times what Darrell said. I appreciate you and everyone who is behind the scenes supporting the effort.
Would love stuff that could be used for school, US history, economic style stuff, government stuff. Your one of the rare few people who are great at teaching complex ideas simply and to have that kinda stuff would help a lot of people understand how this country works.
It would be great to see content on community building in more rural areas and addressing poverty (when your broke too...)
Be careful out there! We still need to hear a calming voice of reason!
Exciting and essential . An informed culture is part of the road out of these disturbing times. Looks like a good way to take American culture back from the misinformation disease .
Dude... This is being the change you want to see in the world. It starts with community..🌎🙏🏼
Your instincts haven't let you down so far, I'm sure that applies to how you built your team as well. Let's roll, we'll tweat the trim enroute.
Roger that
Outstanding, and fun to hear! We'll sit here and hang out with you in the placeholder. Be well, Beau. Thanks for the succinct info.
More reasoning and logic? You've made my day, good sir!
I been waiting on this..literally each time you end with "it's just a thought..." I go: "aw man. It's over already."
Really looking forward to this new content. I have trouble with the idea of community building, as I have some major anxiety issues, so this coud be very helpful for me to get started. Thank you so much for what you're doing.
Beau, wow, this sounds great! Your wife must be super supportive. Of course, she's obviously brilliant, because she married you. I subbed before you started talking. Stay safe!! That's all I ask of you, stay safe. There are a lot of drumfers threatening anyone who disagrees with him. You are loved and needed, stay safe!👍🥰💞✌😷🎃
I'd love to see, travel budget allowing, spotlighting the US territories, Puerto Rico, Guam, US Virgin Islands etc.
Yes! An accessible way of learning about the parts of America that get left out of discussion would be great! Could be a good way of introducing the idea of open boarders.
10/10 idea! I think a lot of people don't really realize how things work in the territories work (like voting in Federal elections).
@@ajchapeliere or even their citizen status, not all are US citizens.
This is perfect. Just want to say that we appreciate your efforts, and we're glad you exist.
Really looking forward to it. You are one of the few bright spots that has been seen from over the ocean in the last few years.
Lookit choo, finding new ways to impress and inspire! Take 2 Attaboys, one right now and one right before bed, you earned 'em.
It's one of the ways I, personally, learn best.)
- As this channel progresses, I know your viewers will come up with many ideas.
- Have I mentioned I'm really excited about this channel? No? Allow me to remedy that... Beau, this is terrific!!!
I am so ready for adventures with Beau and company!. I love learning new things!.
Forgot to say - love the excitement in your voice for this new venture!
This makes me happy. Thank you. Greetings from Finland 🇫🇮
I can already tell this is going to be my new favourite channel. I'm pumped!
Just Commenting for an algorithm boost. And to say howdy there to all you internet people. Be well and do good.
Howdy there. Hope things are well with you.
Great response, and I share your perspective. Pretty excited about this.
Beau,
Over the last month I've listened to over 800 of your videos while at work.
Thank for your time and for being a voice of common sense.
You deal with some heavy subjects in an easy to understand way, which I appreciate.
Thank you.
As for a location
Grand Rapids, Michigan
This will be fun hearing the peoples stories. Love the historical perspective. Paul Harvey would be proud ;)
Paul Harvey was such a solid piece of my childhood. When I read your comment, I heard his, "Good day," in my head, clear as a bell.
I’m all in! getting in on the ground level. love the community around Beau, there’s a truckload of knowledge in the comments alone and a relentless, refreshing approach to dealing with any encroaching ignorance.
Yes! Education! 👍👍👍
Excited about this. I hope Portland is on your radar, although 2900 miles is quite the trek. The internet people love you, man.
Yessss. Gun purchasing, assembly, laws, cleaning, etc would be a topic many of us are interested in
I know I'm going to learn so much. I'm excited!
Exactly right. I have been a student these past few years with Beau but I love that I’m going to have so much more in-depth learning...
Oh, hi Beau! Thanks for all you do online. Your words give hope, and have done so in very dark times. Just wanted to express my appreciation.
Next year, I’d like to see the original vision you had for the Blair Mountain video.
Wait. I haven't seen that. Enlighten/link me, please?

@@TeganFae Thankyou for that. I saw it when it first came out, but enjoyed seeing it again. Beau's videos stay relevant, amazingly so. 💞✌😷🎃
Congratulations on your second channel. Looking forward to the deep dives. I would enjoy seeing you play out the deeper factors, such information would be very helpful and valued. Two separate channels is a good idea. Clarity on UA-cam is stellar.
Excited for the channel, Beau. I like the idea of looking at history and how different things apply to now.
00:36 Yes! History is often over looked/briefly glanced at when looking at modern issues. But, it is vital- not only in understanding the world, but also moving forward in it. 😁 Can't wait, Beau!
I would personally be very interested in some kind of video touching on the Spanish Civil War, although I am by no means asking for anything on-scene, but I would love to hear what you have to say about that entire conflict.
I'm excited to hear more about the nuts and bolts on how to begin and run a community action group. Thanks for all you do, Beau & crew!
I love the idea, I usually throw his vids up and listen to him while I do other things :D
After I check out the shirt he is wearing for the vid of course.
And after you check the position of the Curious George patch! :)

Beau: I am going to show you how to get to the second channel.
Me: ok, how?
Beau: You are already on it.
Me: oh you're right. That was easy.
I’m a long time fan of Justin’s and I am so happy this is the direction he’s taking things.
This is THE BEST time to bring our ideals into the real world and I hope this is all about direct action, getting involved, and deep education.
I feel like there are MANY online in these parts who are ready and willing to get involved, but who lack direction.
Plant a shade tree over here.
Talk about it over there.
Could be the start of something really cool.
Good Luck to you and your talented team.
Keeping the channels divided makes sense to me coming from beau. He likes to keep things decentralized 👌
I'm most fascinated in anything you can teach me about history. Person, place, thing, doesn't matter really. It's one of my favorite topics. And I particularly enjoy the contextual framing you put into all your history videos
I'll bring a growler of homebrew if you're ever in my neck of the woods.

I'm curious, what exactly makes you feel so threatened?
@@chezmoi42 : Basically; immature, crybaby, t***p cultists with guns, who threaten people with murder and even civil war if they don't get to turn America into a fascist dictatorship.
Now I'm curious; how is it that you don't already know this?
@@aylbdrmadison1051 To be honest, I'm an American retired in France. But I used to live on Capitol Hill in Seattle (and for a few years, San Francisco), where I have never once in my life felt threatened, certainly not to the point where I ever felt a gun would be necessary. I have been alarmed by the videos of the police that I've seen attacking citizens back home since I left in '92. I would think it most unwise to get into a confrontation with the Trumpists, though. They are an ugly element.

Good job.
How about where the town of Rosewood was? Seems pretty historical.
See, I already learned about something here. I would like to think that we, as a society, have progressed to a point where that would no longer be possible. Although, with recent political unrest, I have my doubts.
That “I guess” was hilarious. Love you man, keep up the good fight.
