Hello Albert. What a wonderful recipe. My mother used to make these when I was a kid. A quick and inexpensive treat for the family or whatever company might be coming. A nice appetizer served with red wine and a couple of other things. Sometimes she made croquettes using beef or pork sprinkled with Romano cheese. Always delicious. Thank you for bringing her memory back to me. Good food especially la cucina povera, is very special. Love your channel. Thank you for sharing your food with us. Joe.
I've had many croquetas over the years in many Spanish and tapas restaurants (with various qualities), but never made them (although I've made similar things), I'll definiately be making these!
Albert: Delicious... and great presentation _(too pretty to eat)!_ 😋Definitely going to make these, and soon. Thanks again, and have a great weekend. (Fan from San Francisco, California.) *!!~
These look like such a treat! I have some Trader Joe's artichoke and jalapeno dip in my fridge, and I'm thinking, these croquettes might be the perfect crunchies to serve it with.
Ciao, at first congratulations to the spanish soccer Team and all the best for the half Finals at the soccer em.. and i wish you all a wonderful Weekend, many greetings from brunswick in germany and please stay safe 🙃
Spanish potatos looks so delicious, can they be made in air frier as well? I don't have an air frier though. Would love that recipe from you if you have one, as I don't know whatvto do with so much oil that is left out by frying these potatos, can you share how to use this remaining oil after frying? And it looks so yum ❤❤❤delicious I love such fried things but I wonder what to do with the expensive oil left in frying pan...😊😊😊😊 your suggestion welcome 🙏
I know both the Spanish and the Dutch love their Croquettes. And I also know that Spain controlled a large part of the Netherlands in the 1500/1700's. So Albert, who do you think introduced Croquettes to who?
Please provide more recipes with healthy ingredients eg NO seed oils (only olive oil), No margerine (only butter ). Also with whole milk, double cream yogurt, kefir, ect. Thank you.
With the due respect, there is no such a thing as 'Croquetas de patatas' or 'Spanish potato croquettes'. Potatos croquettes is something French/Dutch in origin, Spanish croquetas do not get potatoes! Bechamel and spanish ham is the key. (No hate). Best regards
Yummmmm. I love that you feature so many vegetables, and not every meal being meat - centric.
Much love :)
Agree! So much food and so many recipes are meat centered! Love this channel and all the bean and potato recipes!
Cant wait to make this soon for me i never had classic spanish potato croquettes before perfect for my after office snacks
Sounds great! Much love :)

ah, i've forgotten to ask, what about to use garlic for this croquettes? and a spicy Sauce could be nice, what do you think?
Que rico!
Saludos!
Excellent. I like to use a potato ricer for dishes like this.
Sounds great! Much love :)
Mmmmm, Yum!
Thank you! Much love :)
Is there a typical Spanish sauce to dip them in? They are just screaming dip me! Love your awesome recipes!!!
Tomate frito sauce would be a good match en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tomate_frito
Typically no sauce is used, but as suggested, a simple tomato sauce will work great! Much love :)
I make these but add even more vegetables. They are delicious:)
Sounds great! Much love :)
😋 😋
Much love :)
Super crunchy while ur eating
👏
Much love :)
Can you do a recipe of Spanish marinaded Olives?
wow!
I’m sure they are not just tasty but healthy as well.😋
Much love :)
Could you cook them in a airfryer
Will this recipe work with almond flour and gluten free bread crumbs?
Yes it will be slightly different but in my opinion better!
Absolutely! Much love :)
What can you substitute for the egg?

Just run the oil through a fine sieve to clean it up, and you can use it on future recipes :) These can also be air fried if you like! Much love
Sunflower oil??????
Delicioso
Saludos!

So Albert, who do you think introduced Croquettes to who?
And the name is French....😄
Turns out France, but of course, potatoes are from the Americas...one of those "all over" dishes
I do believe the French came up with the idea, but of course each country has their own versions and stuffings :) Much love
@@SpainonaFork yes, Puerto Rico has one with seasoned ground beef, but they're bigger and called relleno de papas
Potato croquettes are much more typical in Italy than in Spain.
The typical croquettes in Spain are with bechamel, ham or meat or mushrooms
Please provide more recipes with healthy ingredients eg NO seed oils (only olive oil), No margerine (only butter ). Also with whole milk, double cream yogurt, kefir, ect. Thank you.
Use avocado oil, olive oil is not for frying like this, look for alternatives instead of demanding😂

Potato croquettes does not exist in Spain. I never saw that offered at any bar or restaurant. Neither my mom or grandma did that. This is not spanish.
