If the AWE64Gold turns out dead, pay attention to the 46.61512MHz oscillator, looks like it took a hit. I have one board that looked a lot like yours, with a dent in the crystal, turns out it was broken. Transplanted one from an older Creative card, the AWE sprung to life.
Excellent unboxing video! You are lucky to find stuff like that. I’ve never seen any computer scrap boxes for sale like that here in the US.

I found Voodoo 3 AGP and all of those 3 caps vere broken off, sad sad day.

I already know what your building. I think I may have a power vrm which I'd imagine is alot more harder to find, and more likely to have them Made these days.
Nice set of Compaq En's and none en. And the later board. There was a lot of variations in the one model over a short period.

Yeah, but in order to use two CPUs a second VRM is necessary.

Think he isn't quite there yet in terms of parts being seen as retro.
Newest ive seen here is a socket 775 build, but we'll see i guess heh.
still on an I5 2500@ 3.9 ghz here with 16 gb ram & my trusty r9 280 starting too show its age in for example borderlands 3 i got too run all low settings w medium textures in 1600x900 for consistent fps without drops below 45.
