I love Tyler Adams, but saying the Copa is just a stepping stone is so disrespectful to the tournament. This is a major tournament that we should be privileged to be a part of
Oldest international cup on the planet. Maradona didn't manage to get one. Every other team will be killing to get their hands on the cup. Coming in with that attitude, they'll be humbled sooner rather than later.
One could say the cash strapped CONMEBOL is privileged to come play the tournament in the USA and cash a much needed fat check for all of those federations. As everyone says money makes the world go around. So, you’re welcome, a little respect would be appreciated.
Disappointed by Adams rhetoric/comments at the end for expectations that this is just another experience leading up to 2026, similar comments made the other day by Haji/Aaronson. This team should try and make it to the Semi's like we did in 2016. Regardless of the opponent we should always play fearless. I dislike this talk about the team being *young* or *inexperienced*! They're Ready! They play amongst these guys in Top 10 leagues in the world. Believe you can win and you can! Past managers like Bradley and Klinsmann have gotten big wins against Top 10 nations, can Gregg? Not if he's setting the players expectations low
I think that’s what separates this from old players like Landon, Clint, Bradley, Jones etc. They had a different mindset. Sure these guys might be more talented, but Jones would eat these guys up mentally.
If we go 3-and-out that will mean that Gregg Berhalter will have coached our most talented-ever generation of players through 74 games. Of those a whopping 53 will have been home games in the USA. Of the other 21, eight were at neutral sites (e.g., World Cup) so -- and this is almost unbelievable --- in his entire tenure, Gregg Berhalter has coached only 13 authentic away games. Arena, Bradley, Klinsmann were consistently serious about finding the toughest opposition, the greatest challenge. Gregg Berhalter is the precise opposite, and it shows in the feeble expectations and ambitions of his players. #soft
Kobe's comments on Steph. "There's a serious calm. That's dangerous". Abridged af. But, we need a calm assassin. And, speaking of, Kobe was a Milan fan. Just saying Tyler is a good guy no doubt
The culture on this team is so bad and it starts with US Soccer and then is personified by Gregg Berhalter ever being hired and then being rehired after showing that the job is too big for him.
My goodness the culture of this team is rotten. If you don’t think that this is the biggest opportunity to make an impact in an international tournament, then perhaps it’s time to get on with your summer fitness routine so that the team can get someone into the squad that is hungry.
First class interview skills and what a refreshing focus on substantive and meaningful topics. Tyler is an endlessly impressive man. So glad he’s our Captain.

@@FR-AN my fellow human on the internet were you oh so right. i would hire you over bobohellter immediately
THAT was early. 1-5 against Colombia 2 weekly before the cup. Better start taking this seriously.

Horan was right….
They’re media trained, focus one game at a time, don’t give any team locker room material. No rocket science man.

Proud to be represented by such a man.
Wishing him the best of health. He's our team's engine, just want him to stay healthy. Great interview!

US Soccer & Gregg Berhalter are still so naïve.

I don’t think anyone is worried about Tyler getting injured cause he was “lazy”
