- Tyler Adams is back for episode 2 of The Captain! In this episode, the USMNT captain offers this thoughts and reactions to the two recent friendlies: the 5-1 defeat against Colombia and the 1-1 draw vs. Brazil and tells us why the USMNT play "pragmatic" football in tournaments.
Tyler also talks about his initiative with Allstate to build mini-pitches in underserved communities around the country, gives us an update on the mood at USMNT camp, previews their first match against Bolivia, and reveals who he's rooting for in the Euros!

It is like the saying: "You don't need to tell people you are smart to make them believe you are smart". Berhalter's whole motto about making the World believe that Americans can play is just his PowerPoint-corporate mumbo jumbo and it makes the USMNT look ridiculously childish. We don't need to TELL the World that we want them to see our players are good, just perform and stop talking about it!!!
He changed that to "how America views American soccer"

Tuned out and turned off???? Five years of mediocre to poor performances what the heck are you talking about. Thank god we looked better and thank god Brazil didn't take the game very seriously. I love this team and believe it could be an exceptional one. But NOT under Berhalter. Tyler, you Pulisic and the other leaders wanted him back. What an absolutely horrible decision. Look at the USWNT, Killer team and they look and selected the coach that's considered the best in women's soccer. You guys could be fantastic under a really good coach. Under Gregg you all have been decent at times but for the most part lack luster and piss poor. Coaches aren't suppose to be the guy you wanna go grab a beer with. They're there to win, be respected and lead when needed. Sadly, under Gregg you guys have absolutely made the world look at US soccer differently, not in a good way.
Well, we can't afford the best on the men's side. We now have to pay both coaches a similar salary.
Edit: however we could get a better coach than Berhalter ofc

I’m sorry but with the way this team is playing I am not looking forward to this tournament. Watching this team is painful and Copa América will be a missed opportunity.
