Wow! Next time this happens I’m driving to go watch it. Absolutely incredible. We’re Lucky to be alive during these times and live so close to the action.
it was amazeing i will remember it for m y entire life the best thing ever esspically the ending you dont see it entirely but at the end right at the sonic boom there was a straight shadow that appears in the center of all the light that was the engines kicking in last minute and the shadow was created by the rest of the craft
when the gas appeared it kinda looked like at first as if it was hurdleing down towards us and the rocket even before it flew up you could see in the horizon the small flashs of light from the ignition whichs was really soft until it lifted up off the platform i assume
when the gas spread it was like looking up at a exsploding star with less violet purple in it and more of a nice blue and then a while after a nice exsplosive color to the center like after a bomb going off but it wasnt as potent as a actual bomb going off not in color at least it was simpley a amazeing event
Bravo Team Tesla!! Great vid. Was traveling and arrived home in Santa Paula Ca just after stage separation but we could clearly see it. Felt the boom some minutes later.
Great job but I hope you at least saw the reentry burn instead of staring at the boring second stage. The reentry is more visually awe-inspiring than the landing burn. The speed is amazing! Great angle on the launch. You must have been about as close as is allowed.
@@EveryAmp Glad you were there! I was near the Cape for the first RTLS. Spectacular experience! I couldn't stop saying "Oh WOW!". One surprising sight after another and I grew up watching Shuttles, Delta, Titan etc.
A sonic boom is the sound associated with the shock waves created whenever an object traveling through the air travels faster than the speed of sound. Sonic booms generate enormous amounts of sound energy, sounding similar to an explosion or a thunderclap to the human ear.
Love the sound of the engines, now that's horse power. Great footage.
I love the sunlit gas. It’s like watching a mini nebula.
Congratulations, wonderful footage.

It's happening November 21 at 12:17 p.m. ET. Go girl
Wish I could've been there. Sounds amazing.

7:30 for sonic booms 😱
Where did that come from?!
How incredible to be so close to the launch 🚀/ landing pads!
The sound was amazing and the colors in the sky were amazing. Prefect time of day too with the sun just setting.
Thank you so much!!!

How many people followed the spot like it was F-9 coming down at first.
I knew I wasn't the only one😂
Lmao everyone in my apartment complex SCREAMED when It came down XD I was outside like WOAAAH 🤩🤩

Yup this is just one of 4 cameras we had rolling :D

LivingTesla Will the entry burn footage be up anywhere? Would love to see it!
Great catch!!!
Awesome shot! Where did you view the launch from?
Just the side of the road in Lompoc. It's about 4 miles away
Awesome footage
What viewing area is this? I'm attending the Nov 10th launch, and this looks like a great place 🙂
It's just down in Lompoc. You pretty much head towards the beach and pull over where cars are filling up. Nothing official.
@@EveryAmp is it Ocean Ave?
@@mdrocketry Ideally, but the area truly becomes a madhouse. Unless you get there hours early, you just have to get as close as you reasonably can.
@@EveryAmp that's good to know. Would you say that that's the best place to be though?
I want it to be LOUD hahaha
@@mdrocketry As far as I know, that area is as close as you can get without being on a boat.
What causes that weird loud snapping sound at around 00:44?

The engines - they're hecking loud.
I was at surf beach and it was insane EDIT: surf beach is about .5 miles away from the launch site
What was the name of the location you choose to watch from?
We were in Lompoc as far west as we could go on Central Ave before we ran out of parking spaces on the side of the road from all the spectators.
Thanks for the info! I plan to go see the next launch if it fits in my schedule.
What a sweet sound ...love it 💕love rocket science ..
I was there for that🥰
What was the camera hardware/lens used to record this?
iPhone 6
