    Saved my bacon too. Would have been an ordeal without these videos. And thanks for the heads up on using needle nose pliers. Totally worked.

    Thanks for the video! Looks much easier than I thought and will be changing the pads on my 2002 Bonneville next weekend. Definitely will save me money after my mechanic quoted me hundreds of dollars to do this.

    Thanks for the video! First time changing the brakes where a caliper pin couldn't be removed. I would suggest to have the pad with the metal clip on the piston side in case a pin freezes.
    Cheers!

      Tim Cronin Yes, know what you mean, every car or truck has its own unique brake system, pins, and techniques. And sometimes the parts want to hang on or not cooperate. Liquid wrench is one of my best friends for brake changes. Extra brake hardware is very helpful when the originals are not up to the task. Thank you for watching.

    i changed my spark plugs on my 07 grand prix 6c and now its jerking really bad and i lost power to my radio what can cause this and how can i fix it

      +Shelly Jones something that was removed, unplugged or changed during the spark plug process needs to be looked at. Any sensor or wire harness component that is unplugged deliberately or not can change engine performance. New cars have many connections in the way of the spark plugs so many things could have happened during the work. Look at all the connections around the areas of the spark plugs to find what could have been unplugged.

    Man you saved my ass last night, but now I have to find out if the vehicle has brake fluid in it, because I removed the brake line...and leaked a bit..

    What is that tool that pushes the piston in?

    • @budgetboosting
      @budgetboosting  9 років тому

      justin .mac it is a brake adapter designed to turn rear pistons in on that type of design. It can be purchased at autozone for 4 dollars and it fits to a 3/8"drive ratchet and you just slowly ratchet it down.

      It's a brake caliper compressor tool they are awesome to have. Much easier than doing it the hard way

    He never shows how to remove caliper. Remove bottom bolt. Remove bolt on the drivers side holding down emergency brake cable. Swing caliper up to top & push out of pin on bracket away from you. I've done many brakes jobs. Don't follow this video. NEVER put on pads without replacing rotor, cutting rotor. , or at the very least using emery cloth to remove the glaze. If you don;t the pedal will vibrate & the pads will wear out quickly. Just remove the 2 caliper bracket bolts to remove the rotor. Turning in the caliper is correct for new pads
