    Why does this look, feel and sound like Regular Car Reviews

      I've noticed a few channels springing up that capture that classic RCR feel. And I can't really blame them, whatever made the older RCR videos so engaging is lost now, he's become a "Real" car reviewer.
      Which means he's an automotive journalist, which means he's now as valid as a video game journalist. Idk.

    My dad had a 2000 Bonneville SE, some color too and it was a smooth ride, i actually like the last Gen over the 90s Bonneville, the styling on this one was great

    i didn't realize you could get a front bench w/ column shifter. Super old school even in 2000.

    I love the look of all the Pontiac's of this era (Pretty much all Pontiac's of all history except maybe the Aztek), this one holds a special place in my heart. I hope to get one, one day, and keep it as a collector's item or something like that.

    Well, dang. I thanks for showing that trunk thing. I don't have rust there on either of my Bonnevilles, so I'll be applying some clear silicone as a preventative measure.

    I always liked the rims on this SE. Most base model cars come with ugly rims, but the rims Pontiac put on this base SE model looked great! Also, on this body style, the word “BONNEVILLE” was printed toward the top of the driver’s side headlight, but not the passenger’s side headlight. I always thought that was strange.

    I have a 2000 SSEi. It is not a G-Body. It's a H-body. Everything works on it perfectly and still looks great. I get 23 mpg in mixed driving. After some mods it is making about 300 hp and is fun to drive. Bought it for 1000 bucks.

    There should be only two cars that they should be manufacturing just the Pontiac Bonneville and the Chrysler New Yorker

      Those were slower and had about double the problems and half the reliability with NONE of the engineering common sense. Those cars don't exist anymore.

      @@BigWheel. I've had a few specials. My last one snapped a timing belt at 400,000kms. Amazing cars and definitely more reliable than my 09 300c Hemi

      I'd love to know why. Most people are really impressed with the Ssei variant. It has more features than most cars made before 2010, after all (heads up display, multi user support, 12 way adjustable leather heated seats for driver and passenger, moonroof, on board air compressor so you can pump up your tires, it tilts mirrors when you back up to help you parallel park, automatic headlights, etc). Did you have some bad luck or did you get a base model?

      @@awesomeferret base model with lots of problems. Ac fan motor keeps going out, blending door malfunctioning all the time, and 3 different instrument clusters all went bad after 3-5 months.

    such terrible plastics. and it was across the entire spread of GM brands.

      I honestly think of all their models available at the time the bonneville had one of the better interiors. I have one and it's not all squeaky creaky and the materials really don't feel too bad. Still not as solid feeling as a honda or toyota though.

    • @awesomeferret
      @awesomeferret Рік тому +2

      It's the only major flaw. It's sad that such a cool and well designed interior is crippled by bad plastics. The leather has held up pretty well for me though. Mine is 150k miles and the leather is nicer than many other newer cars I've seen with leather. It's almost annoying that I'm compelled to spend hundreds of dollars preserving the interior on a 3000 dollar 22 year old car.
