Awthentik, Great stuff. Really enjoy the podcast. Jones doesn't have the arm talent to be much more than what we have seen. Our best hope in having a succeful offense this year would be theo johnson and tyrone Tracy becoming difference makers. Jones would be able to utilize a tight end better than a asking him to utilize a player like Hyatt.
Glad you enjoyed it. You bring up some great points! That really wa the hope from this draft outside of Malik Nabers. We needed some difference makers from day 2-3 of the draft. So far, not so good. Tracy will have a chance tomorrow 🤞🏽
@@mikeymishima7167 might not be as accurate short to intermediate throws but he’s definitely got an NFL arm I look at Milroe like a Qb that needs more refinement and development but has the highest ceiling due to his athleticism he’s got a cannon he’s football fast and strong and has a good deep ball. His ball placement and accuracy can be developed and he’ll be 22 entering the draft
Stop it was it DJ not bring a extra kicker in week 3 or and extra return man in week one stop giving Daboll so much credit with that super weak schedule he’s first season and winks Defense had a lot to so with it.
The game that told me Daniel Jones wasn’t the guy was 2020 against Tampa Bay. I was already concerned before that game, I even thought we should’ve done what Arizona did the year before with Josh Rosen and traded him. But I tried to walk into his second season optimistic, and that game made everything clear to me. Very depressing day, I had never been so mad about being right.
@@AwthentikandTheBeard Trust me, I’ve only seen that game once and it’s tattooed on my brain. Darius Slayton dead ass could’ve had 4 touchdowns. That shit still makes me want to throw up when I think about it, honestly one of my worst sports memories of all time for me. I know it was just a random regular season game, but it told me everything I needed to know about a guy we spent a top 10 pick on and then passed on Herbert for, and it was everything I was praying wasn’t true. On a side note, I just want to say, I don’t think Dexter Lawrence should be traded bro. And I mean for almost anything, like they need to offer us Herbert, Mahomes, or Allen and then yeah. And we know that’s not happening, but I’m just saying, we can get multiple firsts for Dex and most likely not get a player even close to him with those picks. And pass rusher is the second or third most important position in football depending on how you feel about left tackle. I think trading him for some picks would be a huge mistake.
😂😂 at the Bucs game. Terrible moment. As for Dex, I’m willing to consider anything at this point to get my joy back on Sundays. All in preparation to get to the right QB first.
I don't understand how the lowest percentage play in the league is the cause for the team's struggles. Have you seen the great KC quarterback play? How many deep shots is he connecting on? Not only that, but passing numbers overall are down this year and rushing numbers are up.
I spoke it in the video. A drive is 10x more likely two end in a TD with just one explosive play. Drives with zero explosive plays have a 3.9% chance of ending in a TD.
@@AwthentikandTheBeard So true. PFF has a recent data study on this. Explosive plays are a gain of 20 yards or more. They don't have to be deep passes. If so, intermediate passes to skill players who excel in YAC would not be a thing. I get DJ is not the best QB, but the hate train is ridiculous. All plays, including explosive plays, are generated by great execution. The Giants need to work on this across the board. DJ needs to get his deep ball back to his earlier form. The run game needs to improve as well as blocking for the hot receivers on short/intermediate routes. The guys who died in battle lost you the war just as much as the ones who survived, but could have done better.
He’s capped out. It’s not a “hate train”. He’s an average player. Thats not hating, it’s assessing. Hating is reserved for players who don’t deserve major criticism. Jones deep ball has never been impressive. And he’s not accurate enough to have his receivers catch in stride.
i was 7 and 11 when the giants won their last two super bowls, and i was lucky enough to watch both games to their entirety. Ever since then, I’m 24 y/o and it’s been a miserable stretch of years that the giants have displayed since. Outside the two post season appearances from 2016 & 2022 it’s been a shit show. I wanna enjoy watching Giants football again, and i feel like we’re far far away from actually becoming a competent football team that can score touchdowns and win football games. Praying for better times 🙏🏽
Idk why people are acting like dj doesnt have a deep ball, something to talk about i guess. In years past hes been one of the best deep ball throwers at least at some point, look into it. He is underperforming like always. I cannot wait until the draft we need a killer at qb point blank period. Give me cam ward, shadeur sanders, or jalen milroe literally any of them. That should help dabs keep his job a bit longer too.
Please....every single year since he was drafted....by Shurmer (who imho had the best chance to make him a decent deep ball qb) btw....his deep passes have been fewer in frequency and less accurate and thats due to his lack of processing speed which leads to sacks since his pocket awareness takes a hit whenever he has to think....which subsequently leads to him staring down his recievers and broadcasting his intentions thus giving the defense a leg up. He's gotten a tiny bit better at alot of that stuff...but that's something you expect from a second/third year guy NOT A 6TH YEAR VET.....just saying man
@@victorcastro3351 yea shirmurs offense was good for him i guess. Cant forget his rookie preseason and the fact he got eli benched, “technically”. His good plays were def far and few between but his deep ball wasnt trash. Probably his only stat while being ranked 29th qb lol
What's up Awthentik. How do our Giants cure their drop issues? Do guys need to stop trying to make moves before they even catch the ball? DJ needs to clean up his accuracy? Receivers need to focus better? All of the above or something else?
The Seahawks can't tackle worth a damn, so the offense should be able to move up and down the field, however if Nabers is out it might be tough sledding. I know one thing for certain, Seattle's offense has never been so dynamic and unpredictable as they are right now. It's going to be too much for the Giants to handle, Jones is not equipped to play in a shoot out.
I'm curious why you don't think the 2025 Giants wouldn't draft a black QB when the 2024 Giants very likely would've drafted a black QB(Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels) had they been in position too. On Hard Knocks Daboll in particular seemed to like Jayden Daniels, but it's obvious Chicago and definitely Washington weren't trading out with the New York Giants.
@@shawnjackson3203yeah man, it’s a narrative that people said once, others saw, and took it and ran with it. No black quarterbacks is simply a coincidence, obviously their intent to trade up for Daniels shows that and not to mention that they benched Eli for Geno Smith.

Bama QB’s scare me a little but damn Milroe looked pretty good against Georgia.

vikings: jefferson and addison
Giants: nabers and…
