One pro tip if you're really ocd or just very unsure about your ability to consistently cover all the needed areas, you can get some white banner paper and tape it up underneath your windshield and that will allow more light to actually reflect back to you and see the UV tracer a bit on the windows. It's not as good as a completely opaque surface but it's something that helps.
FACTS! I used the Adams 5 year Graphene coating to my car over a year ago and it's still going strong. I use the Graphene shampoo and detail spray. It's really the best real world coating and so easy to apply.
Just applied this to a non dealer prepped escalade last night and it was my first time using adams graphene and I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to work with
Excellent tutorial, but you didn't address how or when to use the ceramic boost, and how low can the temperature be when you apply it of during the curing phase ( the first 24 hours)
Thanks for the tip to apply this in sections. You failed to mention that after you stop you need all new microfiber towels. Now I’m screwed until I get more.
You made it look easy to apply:) After watching this video few times tried the Graphene (not the advanced) on my Black BMW. It has streaks of high spot. Even after going back and trying to put a little more and wiping immediately, does not seem to work. Now I have high spot streaks in lot of places. The customer support says, you can wipe again and you have time till 30 days. Already did twice and no luck. Waiting for a reply from Adam's to respond to the photo on how to fix it. I hope I dont have to polish again all the trouble panels:(
I recently did my new vehicle with your spray on graphene coating and love it, I ordered this kit and want to step up to longer lasting protection, my question is can I apply the stronger coating over the coating I just applied or should I wait awhile? Thanks for any advice, terrific channel, helpful tips.
If I use the microfiber cloth to removed residue, will this hurt? And does the uv tracer effect fade with time. I could see it plainly at first, then couple days later it's gone or lighter looking.
I ordered a bottle of advance and got it today from Amazon the bottle looks different the bottle has a plug in it and a spout that you put on and the label is not as gold and shiny as others that I have ordered should I send it back
Lots of cuts in the edit, that suede towel must be dragging like crazy. I have this on my Supra for over a year now and its been good. Still holding up good on some areas and decent on others. The car sits outside and see's small amounts of rain driving. Just ordered the advanced version since I plan on doing a small paint correction. Should be fun.
Excellent, informative video -- although the music is REALLY annoying! Thanks for taking the time to go more in-depth on the application process of this specific ceramic coating.
Idk about 7 years but through rough Ohio summer and winters I got about 5 so people must be doing something wrong not to get time out of this product. Applying to my new car today, but should probably reapply to the old cars too
I bought the kit which cost me 120$ and it’s the 10 year graphene and it comes with the surface prep a bunch of white towels etc. Since you have a video I don’t need to ask how to use it. My kit comes with a purple light. I don’t have a garage so what weather should I wait for b4 putting mine on? I bought mine last year it’s still in the box is their a expiration date on the graphene ceramic. Also I don’t see u using the purple light what’s the light for??
I just applied it in dry 65 degree weather, after applying it became rainbow in like 30 seconds and then I buff it off after about a minute, it feels like it’s not enough time but wait any longer it’s hard to buff off and becomes like sticky to the towel, not sure if I applied properly.
How does this Graphene ceramic product compare to your other ceramic products? I have your other ceramic coating, surface prep and paint sealer products on my Lexus is300. I always get compliments on how nice the car looks. Once a month I hit my car with your Ceramic Boost product to enhance the shine. I also spray your Detail Spray on the wet car after washing it and before drying it off. Does the Graphene hold the shine for a much longer time than the other ceramic coating products you sell?
When costing the barrel of the wheel does it allow the weights to stick well? It’s making a, “non stick” layer. Never did barrels for the fear of that.
Hi there, indeed graphene ceramic coating the inner barrels of wheels can make the wheel weights adhesion much weaker. If you buy a new set of tires or wheels, we recommend having the tires mounted and balanced first, then apply the coating. Or if you are replacing tires, you can machine polish the inner barrel to remove the ceramic coating, then reapply afterward. Another option is to let your tire installer know, and they might be able to dull just that small area with an abrasive cutting compound, alcohol prep, etc to make the adhesive on the wheel weight stick better.
Is it possible to do sections of your car. By the time I would have step one done the whole day is gone. I am wondering if I could do the front half one weekend and the rear half the next weekend?
Maybe a dumb question because but I'm new to the ceramic coatings. But, can you add spray wax coats on top of the ceramic coating? Also can you add more layers of the ceramic coating every year or does it not need either? I live in an area where the State covers the roads with salt in the winter and I do a lot of surf fishing and I have hard water at my house. That being said, I typically wax my vehicle over 5 times a year to keep the water spots off the vehicles and protected from salt. I know it may sound dumb but I'm new the ceramic coatings and all and the vehicle detailers I know don't use them just need some insight and direction please.
You mentioned doing the vehicle in sections each day. Doesn’t the applicator become unusable if set aside for another day? The kit comes with 2 applicators. What if you want to do it over 4 days?
Yes the applicator can harden over the course of a day or two. You can use opposite sides of one applicator to get 2 uses out of one applicator, and we do sell additional applicators as well if you want to coat the vehicle over time 👍
Hi there, we would recommend giving the wiper blades a good cleaning with our Tire & Rubber Cleaner and an Edgeless Utility Towel, then you can apply the Graphene Ceramic Coating to the rubber wiper blade as well to help them glide better on the windshield without chattering. If the wiper blades are several years old, you may experience some chatter, usually indicating that they are either dirty or need to be replaced. Big temperature differences between the windshield and wiper blades could also contribute to some chatter.
What is the shelf life of this product after I use it? I used half a bottle on one car then months later use the other half on another car and it was easy to remove even after it sat overnight
Hi Mark, for best results, the Graphene Ceramic Coating should be applied to the bare polished paint. If you apply it onto a wax, it will only bond to the wax layer, so durability could be greatly reduced to possibly only a few months rather than years. We would recommend using our white Polish and a White Foam Pad to remove the wax layer, then Surface Prep to remove all polishing oils to leave a bare finish, then apply the Graphene Ceramic Coating.
Hi there! You can use our regular pink Detail Spray no problem since it is a polymer spray, but we would recommend against using wax products since they are different chemistries than the Graphene Ceramic Coating. Wax will not hurt the coating, but could detract from the hydrophobic behavior of the coating layer. Our Graphene Detail Spray would enhance the coating even further and be a better option than a quick wax or detail spray.
One coat is sufficient. A second coat can be applied, but it is the law of diminishing returns. The second coat will just ensure more even coverage. More than 2 coats is not necessary or recommended. How long the coating lasts will more depend on driving conditions and maintenance after application 👍
Hey Brian, you can definitely use the microfiber towels to remove. For best results we recommend doing an initial wipe with the Micro-Suede Towel first to break down the cured surface oils of the coating and then a second finishing wipe with the Plush Microfiber Towel to level it off and make it perfect on the surface.
Public service announcement 📣 if your thinking about getting this for a full size 4 door pick up truck. This one bottle will not do the whole truck. I just applied it to mine and ran out. It done every thing other than the. Rims, back glass, rooftop, one side mirror, and one step rail. Luckily i purchased the spray coating as a back up. As a just in case and glad I did. Although it’s not the 7 year coating. But atleast something will be on them panels I did not have enough to finish.
Hi there! One 60ml bottle of our coating should be plenty to do a full size 4 door truck - paint, glass, and wheels - so it sounds like you may have poured a bit too much on the applicator for each follow-up panel. You'll want to load up the applicator somewhat heavy at first since it is dry, but once you have some coating in the applicator, you can use less on additional panels. I'll usually have about 1/3 of a bottle left after coating a full size truck.
Hi Steven, our Graphene Detail Spray is a perfect companion product for our coatings. We recommend using it on a clean surface every 3-4 washes or 1-2 months, whichever comes first, as maintenance to keep the coating performing its best. Coatings unfortunately will not completely prevent water spots, but they will reduce water spots and make them much easier to clean up afterward, since the coating level is attempting to keep the water spot from etching into the vehicle's painted clear coat.
So if I got the spray on version and decide to apply the 7 year version. I can simply just apply that any time correct? Also the rag to buff out the application and applicator pad, can they be reused?
No. You should do the 7 year version first. If you use the spray version first, then the 7 year glass bottle version won’t be able to adhere directly to the clear coat.
The 4oz bottle of Surface Prep included in the kit is typically enough to prep 2 vehicles or more, about 1-2oz per vehicle. We do offer it in larger 12oz bottles on our website as well!
I'm detailing my silverado soon. Clay , iron remover ,paint correction. My truck doesn't fit in my garage. So is OK if I use this product and then park my truck outside or carport until is cured? Any tips? Thank you
Hey AVP, no they're actually two very different products. Surface Prep is a final wipe-down spray with alcohol and other surfactants to remove any remaining polishing oils and leave the surface completely bare to apply the Graphene Ceramic Coating. Detail Spray should not be used before you apply the coating, since it has polymers and a slight bit of protection - so it would not allow the Graphene Ceramic Coating to bond to the clear coat to its full potential.
Depends on the size of the vehicle. We recommend to use the suede towel only to feather the coating and level it, then wipe with the plush towel to remove all of the residue. That is why we include 2 of each towel in the kit.
@@fecss one suede towel will usually be enough to lightly feather the coating and level it out, but I like to have at least 2 borderless grey or 2 single soft towels for wiping away the residue. 1 plush towel might be enough, but it will depend on how thick you apply it, and how well you fold the towel for wiping the residue. If you fold the towel into fourths, that will give you 8 working sides on that towel to hopefully get through the whole sedan, but as the towel absorbs more and more residue, you will see that it can smear the coating around and leave high spots. That is where the second clean plush towel will come in. Many detailers will do a 3-towel method for removing coatings - suede to barely feather and level the coating, one plush to wipe away the residue, and a second plush towel to do a final wipe on the panel.
Hi Neil, yes you can use our Graphene Ceramic Coatings on boat gel coats too. Just make sure you make the surface as nice as possible first by claying, machine compounding and polishing, and Surface Prep first, just as you would on a car.
Absolutely not lol. You’re going to need to use multiple towels. The more, the better, really. You will see fresh towels wipe down and get the final buff easier. Also throw away all the wipe off towels after use as they are no longer good.
The graphene ceramic coating can be exposed to water after 24 hours of curing, but we recommend waiting 5-7 days before washing with soap and water to allow it to fully cure.
After two years in a Canadian winter/climate the product has stopped working. Very disappointing, always washed every 2-3wks with the Graphene soap. Did all the required steps before
Hi Mike, one layer of our Graphene Ceramic Coating is sufficient, but if you were to apply a second layer, after you have finished application of the first layer, wait 1-2 hours before applying the second layer, then allow the vehicle to have the full recommended cure time.
Did I just watch a video where some guy pulled his aluminum wheels off and ceramic coated the inside barrel of said wheels? How ludicrous is that? I have owned cars for 40+ years and have never seen or even heard of anyone washing the inside of a wheel, much less ceramic coating it.
Hi Moises, using an Iron Remover is certainly a good option to do even heavier decontamination of a vehicle, before preparing to machine compound and polish the surface. This is especially important on lighter-colored vehicles like silver, white, light gray, and so on, since the iron particles stand out as very small orange "dots" in the paint. Claying and then compounding can remove these deposits in some instances, but we do offer Adam's Iron Remover on our website to remove iron contamination faster and easier!
Two separate businesses. The auto manufacturer just wants to make the sale on the car and that’s it really. The detailer on the other have takes care of it from that point and keeps your car looking nicer for longer.
My use of this product ended up with an excellent looking vehicle. However, avoiding high spots was almost impossible. So, not the most user friendly product.
Hi Marc, we do apologize about the issues. High spots can be tricky and can be caused by a few different factors. Temperature and humidity in your garage play a big role. High humidity levels will typically cause the coating to flash and become tacky much more quickly than low humidity, so you have a shorter time period before you need to remove the residue. Lifting the applicator on and off of the surface while applying can also lead to high spots, since a heavier concentration of coating will touch the surface each time you lift it off of the vehicle and place it back down, so we recommend trying to apply to a section or panel in one smooth motion, without lifting the applicator. How you wipe with the towels can also potentially leave high spots. If you are pressing down into the towel with your fingers, that creates uneven pressure points on the surface that could leave smears or streaks, so it is better to wipe with the towel using your palm or side of your hand for more consistency. Using multiple towels is also recommended, since they will build up more and more coating residue as you move onto new sections of the vehicle. Wipe the panel first with the Suede Microfiber Towel included in the kit, then wipe it a second time very thoroughly with one of the Single Soft Towels. Hopefully these tips will help out with the next vehicle you may apply our Graphene Ceramic Coating. The more vehicles you coat, the more intuitive it will become!
@@AdamsPolishes I really appreciate the reply. I did learn as I went along and high spots became less and less of an issue. The problem for a DIYer like me is that I will not have the need to coat another car for a while. So, I must re-learn what I learned before. Regardless, I think I should have started with a more forgiving coating, like your Ceramic or one from another company. However, I needed the latest and greatest, so chose this graphene coating....actually the ADVANCED one. Again, I appreciate the reply. I love some of your other soap and detailer products.
Pls pls pls no more background noise that sounds like a mario brothers video game. The wrong background music distracts from the video, not makes it more professional.

This won’t last 7 years your lucky to get 7 months. Adams makes great products but they simply can’t nail it on their coatings for some reason. There is far better options out there. Go back to the drawing board and revamp the coatings even if it takes a year or so to develop something worth while
Bs their 18+ month spray lasts over a year with a car sitting outdoors 365 a year 50k miles a year. With only using their graphene shampoo. So I'm sure this kind lasts longer
Very let down with this stuff love most of your products this is not one of them left streaks everywhere and it's terrible to level out. Just not smart for s black car and stop saying 7 years it's 75 percent of what you list max so 5.25 years but more like 4

Can this product be used on boat gel coat??
Hi Neil, yes you can use our Graphene Ceramic Coatings on boat gel coats too. Just make sure you make the surface as nice as possible first by claying, machine compounding and polishing, and Surface Prep first, just as you would on a car.
For how long can you use an opened bottle of ceramic coating?
I believe they say 6 months.
is just 1 towel needed to wipe off coating on entire vehicle?
Absolutely not lol. You’re going to need to use multiple towels. The more, the better, really. You will see fresh towels wipe down and get the final buff easier. Also throw away all the wipe off towels after use as they are no longer good.
Do you have a rep in the uk?
Hi Alexis, we do! Look up Prestige Car Care Shop. We also offer international shipping as well.
Is this a reupload
yes
How soon can I wash after I apply?
The graphene ceramic coating can be exposed to water after 24 hours of curing, but we recommend waiting 5-7 days before washing with soap and water to allow it to fully cure.
@@AdamsPolishes thank you for replying. That’s one reason why I buy your products. Great customer service! Plus great products
Why not make a New Video!?
I still hate the hours to polish to prepare for coating
what about iron decon
After two years in a Canadian winter/climate the product has stopped working. Very disappointing, always washed every 2-3wks with the Graphene soap. Did all the required steps before
If one were to layer the coating, how long would should you wait to apply the second layer?
Hi Mike, one layer of our Graphene Ceramic Coating is sufficient, but if you were to apply a second layer, after you have finished application of the first layer, wait 1-2 hours before applying the second layer, then allow the vehicle to have the full recommended cure time.
Never thought to clay the windows also.
Absolutely. Glass can develop bonded contamination just as paint does!
Can this be applied to PPF?
Yes you can …I just got off the phone with them
Did I just watch a video where some guy pulled his aluminum wheels off and ceramic coated the inside barrel of said wheels? How ludicrous is that? I have owned cars for 40+ years and have never seen or even heard of anyone washing the inside of a wheel, much less ceramic coating it.
That little bottle coats that whole car?
Hi Willy, yep the 60ml bottle will usually coat 2 small vehicles, or one full-size truck no problem, including paint, glass, wheels, lights, etc.
Why didn't you use a Iron Remover?
Hi Moises, using an Iron Remover is certainly a good option to do even heavier decontamination of a vehicle, before preparing to machine compound and polish the surface. This is especially important on lighter-colored vehicles like silver, white, light gray, and so on, since the iron particles stand out as very small orange "dots" in the paint. Claying and then compounding can remove these deposits in some instances, but we do offer Adam's Iron Remover on our website to remove iron contamination faster and easier!
@@AdamsPolishes thanks for replying
why is the motor manufacturer not doing that in all cars?!
Must do all these steps first let people know
Even with proper prep and installation does not last
Nanoskin 9h ceramic coating is superior to this product coming how can that be high quality in a plastic bottle !! My stuff comes only in glass
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼🌹👍🏼🙌🏼🤝
Pls pls pls no more background noise that sounds like a mario brothers video game. The wrong background music distracts from the video, not makes it more professional.
*7 months, not 7 years..
Love Adams, but this does not last as advertised.
No it does not that’s a fact
Even with proper care the bottle not spray lasts a couple months at best. Bad way to spend $90
@@sammitchell7310 very bad way.
Did you do any prep? I used the ceramic spray coating on my uncles car almost a year ago and it still has about 80% left. I also did my moms car with no paint prep with the 60ml coating and has been holding up for months
@@dannyhernandez9113 yeah full decon, iron remover, clay, 1 step correction, ipa wipe. Unfortunately I did three vehicles with it and all results have been the same
This won’t last 7 years your lucky to get 7 months. Adams makes great products but they simply can’t nail it on their coatings for some reason. There is far better options out there. Go back to the drawing board and revamp the coatings even if it takes a year or so to develop something worth while
That’s simply not true
@@AntLive29 yea it simply is
Bs their 18+ month spray lasts over a year with a car sitting outdoors 365 a year 50k miles a year. With only using their graphene shampoo. So I'm sure this kind lasts longer
I got 3 out of mine
I’m at 2 years on this coating with proper maintenance and the coating is just as strong
Very let down with this stuff love most of your products this is not one of them left streaks everywhere and it's terrible to level out. Just not smart for s black car and stop saying 7 years it's 75 percent of what you list max so 5.25 years but more like 4
