My favorite film in the franchise. Seeing Jill Valentine for the first time on the big screen was so sweet! I turned 10 the day after this movie was released and I thought it was one of the coolest movies ever lol
@@elagea5617 spoiler: extinction was my favorite, but that's the movie stat started all the cloning crap, which ended up being the worst thing about these movies. in part 5 they not only bring back michelle rodriguez, they bring back 2 of her, a good one and an evil one, along with the leader of the team who's name i don't recall. then in the final chapter, the main villain ends up being a villain who already died, and wesker was nothing but his little bitch. not only do they claim you killed his clone in the 3rd movie, the one who tells her that is another clone of his without even realizing it. the whole thing is so stupid, which leads me to dislike 3 a little more because that's where this convoluted cloning bs started. "hey guys, let's bring back the doctor from 3 and clone the one she killed was a clone!" This movie is the one that has the closest feel to the first videogames, could've been longer tho. And Nemesis is almost unkillable in the games too, and it's after you the whole time.
re3 is one of my favorite in the game series. scary as hell when i was a kid, having the nemesis chase you through the entire game. code veronica is my favorite though, i still remember being the only one of my friends to get a dreamcast just for that game and it was the most amazing game i've ever seen at the time. few games since have managed to give me the same feeling of amazement that game did at the time.
true! as far as I know the director tried to recreate the cut scenes from Resident Evil games and how the camera works that's why it seems like it feels so close to the video games hehe
Fun fact. Milla Jovovich actually ran down the side of that building. Where? Nathan Phillips Square Toronto Canada. How I know? I was there and witnessed it with my own two eyes.
Well, all I'll say is that some of the questions you asked get answered in the next movie, really glad to see someone go through this series. They might not make much sense towards the end, but still a fun watch.
This is the first Resident Evil movie I saw way back as a small child, got me hooked on the series and the games! I’m glad you’re enjoying yourself! :)
"How did these b*tches come alive though, outta these graves" Trust me... these movies have this huge issue called "continuity" :P In the first movie it's explained the T-Virus reanimates a dead person when there's still a small charge in the brain. Source: "Even in death the human body still is active. Hair and finger nails continue to grow, new cells are produced, and the brain itself holds a small electrical charge that takes months to dissipate. The T-virus provides a massive jolt, both to cellular growth, and to those trace electrical impulses. Put quite simply, it reanimates the body.” This movie basically ignores that and allows bodies that have been in graves for however long (months/years) to just live again. How they got infected? Nobody knows. I genuinely enjoy the first, second and third movie in this series as dumb schlock but damn if it doesn't have some of the worst writing in any movie XD
My favorite in the franchise, I do recommend watching at least a few more of them but this one is definitely the best, at the moment when the virus is still new and I loved Jill in this one. So I believe the people in the graveyard came back because the virus seeped up from underground in the umbrella lab.
I always loved this movie, but the one thing that always irritated the hell out of me was that not one person even tried a headshot on Nemesis. Body shots and leg shots wouldn't stop a standard zombie, so it definitely wouldn't stop one as strong as him.
I was 13 years old when my mom brought my friends’ and I to see this movie. She hates gory, horror movies. After the classroom scene with the zombie kids, she never brought up us to a movie again 💀She would just drop us off and told us to sneak into any ‘R’ movies from now on
If you've ever played the resident evil franchise you definitely be a big fan of nemesis One of the best B.0.W.s in the franchise. Of course in the game he's a little bit bigger, like hawk size. Fun fact: nemesis only says one word besides roaring and growling and that's "stars" and he says that a lot in the first resident evil two game and in the reboots not to mention the Marvel versus Capcom three ultimate Alice isn't being controlled she's being monitored
The graveyard scene is one that's always been a bit confusing. I mean, they did it in Code: Veronica too, but it was later revealed that those zombies had been people who were basically infected and buried "alive" - just buried before they turned. Then the rain softened the soil enough for them to escape and attack. Pretty sure it's just a reimagining of that scene in the game I mentioned, but no, it doesn't make sense since we know the T-Virus is airborne and fluid transmitted. But, if you go more into the lore, we DO have a possible - legitimate - answer. As we see in the rest of the series, the T-Virus doesn't just infect people. It infects animals, insects, plants, and the entire planet. It causes global ecological changes. The very Earth is dying and mutating from the infection. Based on the games, the events at the Hive happen roughly 2 months before the full scale outbreak at Raccoon City. We aren't technically told how long of a time period happened between the first movie and this one. She could have been asleep in there for a few months for all we know, and just kept under medically. There, the outbreak happens because of zombies loose from the mansion (hive) in the woods around the city, as well as the water near Raccoon City being infected. It was not simply transmitted by bite, but through other means as well - and the graveyard scene could be our first showing of that spread. But, just be aware that Apocalypse and the rest of the Anderson movies are about as non-canon as you can get. They aren't horrible. They're fun. But there is a lot that just doesn't really make sense.
Nemesis is no joke. He's probably the most iconic monster in the game franchise. Unlike the zombies that typically remained in the initial area you encountered them, Nemesis would run after you, chasing you from area to area throughout Resident Evil 3, which was a fairly new feature in the era of the first PlayStation. And since the rocket launcher was usually the most powerful weapon you could acquire in the game, having a massive zombie creature chasing you while shooting a rocket launcher at you is the literal stuff of nightmares. The only way to finally defeat him at the end of the game was to repeatedly blast him to smithereens with a giant laser-firing rail gun.
The guy getting killed by the licker in the church is karma. In a deleted scene, he closed the door to the roof behind him, leading to the woman who later jumped getting bitten as she struggled to enter the code to open.
Dude you have one of the best, genuine, entertaining reaction compared to most reaction videos!! You actually try to enjoy the movie without criticizing every second of it lol keep up the videos man! This is a great series honestly.

In later Resident Evil Games The Zombies were created by The T-Veronica virus, The T-G Virus and The G Virus (RE2 and 3), The Las Plagas Parasite (RE4 and 5), The C Virus (RE6), E-001 (Eveline) she infects and controls her victims with Mold (RE7: Biohazard), Miranda who infected victims with Cadou (RE8: Village)
They aren't technically zombies. That's just the names they've been given because of the zombie like symptoms they have. In reality they are a mutation. A bioweapon. It was one biprodcut of the t-virus. This movie though rushes everything kinda. Like going forward you'll see it. They throw so much at you with little information on it. Later movies mix everything at once and your like um how did that even occur. Simple answer. Mutation. They just don't explain it very well. XD

Part 1 will always be my fave, but I love all the movies. Was a long time hardcore RE gamer from the beginning. When the movies came out I ate 'em up! ;) (pun TOTALLY intended lol)

Haven't seen this in years, I didn't remember it being so cheesy and having so much random nonsense in it 😂
As much as I love this movie, the cameras angles literally make me sick (especially during the fight between Alice and Nemesis).
The resident evil extinction is one of my favorites in this series I can’t wait for you to watch it!!!!
Agree!
This was awesome. Such a good sequel. Awesome reaction, Primate 😎
Thanks!
I’m soo happy you love it omg that’s why they made resident evil like 6 movies cause we love them
That grave scene makes no sense to the movie concept, but apparently it was a scene in one of the games.
I Never know Leon,Chris, jill, jake, Ada exists before this movie
Part 1 will always be my fave, but I love all the movies. Was a long time hardcore RE gamer from the beginning. When the movies came out I ate 'em up! ;) (pun TOTALLY intended lol)
This sequel of 2002 were inspired of Resident Evil 3 Nemesis (1999) video game . . . That game is so hard and i died a lot of million times 😆
I hope you watch the rest of the RE movies. It gets pretty wild really quick lol!
If you like these movies I heavily think you’ll enjoy the Underworld series ! :)
Alice is so freaking cool.
18:05 great entrance sad exit 😂😂😂😂
Watch them all
“You know left 4 dead the zombie game, HEHHEHEH“ took me out bro 🤣
Love Jill love Nemmy but hate everything else😂
16:48 is a great way to desensitize a six year old
Alice is a bad ass.
they don't control her but they can see awry thing she sees and keep track of her
