Revell certainly outdid themselves on this kit. After watching BOAB and now this build, I believe Revell has upped the bar on their kits. That engine bay detail is through the roof!!!
Thanks, Spencer. This certainly shows positives for future kits.
Now if only they continued to make more NASCAR kits, especially since they’re super rare now (the Gen 6 ones which they only made three)
Excellent work! This jaguar videos are my favorites!
Looks awesome , love the wheels. Rick 🤓✌️
Dry fit all pieces. Absolutely beautiful detail work
I'm a modeller and have the kit, and watched many videos. Your abilities are exceptional...even frightening! Thank you. It appears the later Revell kit may have better wheels, though still not see-through.
man those wheels are very nice ! thanks very much for the download link
Thanks a lot for the link to the rims! they make the model come together nice !
Outrageous Details, I'm Really Liking This Series. Thanks For Sharing n Have a Blessed Week.
Wow! A fan belt decal!
Informative - and a beautiful model! 😬👍
Excellent work as always. Ill be watching
Best time of the week
Looking really good!!!!!!!
Those wheels tho! Pretty amazing what those printers can do.
HUUHHHH ???
Looks way better then my E-type!
The wheels is perfect
Lovely kit but those wheels are just stunning.
Nice job as always. I use aqua gloss over parts I have painted with Molotov, it makes them more handleable
Superbe moteur ...Montage très soigné ! Très beau résultat ! Congratulations ...A+
always outstanding
Beautiful ☺️
I'm amazed at how dramatically different this is to the monogram kit I built last year.
Nicely detailed kit. My parents had one of these when I was a kid. I remember the hood being up all the time and it having twin radiators and fans unlike this model you’re building.
Theirs was a series Two or possibly a series 1.5. . A 1.5 may have mix and match features of a series 1 or a series two. The bonnets and headlight bezels are unique to late ‘67 or early ‘68 production. My ‘67 FHC has almost everything correct for a series one car, toggle switches instead of plastic rockers, non recessed window winders and the eared knockoffs on the wheels rather than octagon shaped later knockoffs. It has the series 2 engine block (based on the freeze plugs and the configuration of the cam cover studs. Not something you would notice unless you were super familiar with the XK engines. Some in those years will have dual Stromberg carbs instead of the triple SUs.
greate details love it nice work
Spectacular !!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awesome 👌.
I've been tricked a couple of times by too tight holes.. Now I try to force myself to make a "tryal placement" with each piece to make sure it fits correctly. although that's a really nice build, as usual :)
Its called dry fitting, just so you know😉 pretty uselful, i aslo force myself to do it, it avoid some big mistakes
@@matgof03 Thanks for the translation :)
Or "Test" Fitting
The fan shroud and fan blade are not at like the model on a series 1 E type. The shroud is open in the rear and the two bladed “popsicle stick” fan blade mounts directly on a small square electric motor mounted on the top of the frame structure.
even without the ignition lines, that is one of the best (kit) engine bays that I've ever seen - Contemporary RoG kits seem to have overtaken Tamiya in this regard. Just my opinion and experience.
Just a thought, Tom, but next time you're spraying aluminium / silver engine blocks or suspension parts, try SMS lacquers, I've recently started using them as AK Xtreme Metals are hard to get a hold of here in New Zealand... SMS are very similar but nowhere near as 'bad smelling' and spray beautifully straight from the bottle.
Best from NZ.
Those 3d printed wheels look incredible, wish i had a printer.
Ugh! The front sub frame on the XKE is so fiddly , that & the plug wires would have driven me up the wall & possibly the model against the wall ! Yours came out beautiful 👍🏁😷
Patience is a Virtue 🤗🤗🤗
Zoals gewoonlijk weer een klasse video!
Welk draad gebruik je voor de bedrading van de motor?
Scaleproduction ignition wire
THOSE WHEELS ARE INSANE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There's no way you could injection mold those.
nice , Love those wheels too
RJ
Those wheels are incredible! Was that a Molotow paint for airbrushing?
Ok I've just looked at the Molotow from your link. That's very expensive!!
Nice Job on this. Those 3D printed wheels look good, but the kit ones really aren't as bad as you say. I know you can't look through them but have a look at mine just after I added black panel line accent.
Sure, i agree with you. thats what i said during the unboxing of the kit. However. Compared to the wheels printed. They are not up to par
@@TheScalemodelingChannel ah, I hadn't watched your unboxing as I already knew what was inside the box. Thanks for replying.
Awesome work - so well done - As an aside E Types of that vintage EOM wire wheels were laced with 72 spokes. It appears as if that very minor issue might be incorrect?? All in all still stunning results with this Revell example --- having fun watching, learning -- Cheers -
OMG !!! A FREAKING SPOKE COUNTER !!! LOL HAHAHA 😄😄😄😄
Gary, you missed the point these were custom made wheels using a computer you would think they would come out with the correct wheels for that car that’s why I thought about it
Now that I have free time I am picking up my model building hobby again and decided to use better paint, glues, and maybe even a small airbrush. However, I have flocked before and I like the carpeted look of it here. This may have been covered previously, but are there kits of assorted flocking colors? Can they be bought as needed in SMALL sizes. The black I have was used to repair my console storage compartment and I have a LOT left. I'd like small baggies of greys and beiges.
Specialized hobby shops should have smaller amounts
@@TheScalemodelingChannel THANK YOU!!!!!
Awesome wheels, thanks for sharing the 3D model. How did you succeed to put so little support number. I am trying to print these wheels as well and it seems that a lot of spokes needs support. What angle did you tilt the rim in order to avoid the "islands" ? It seems less than 45 degrees
Not sure what angle i used. I just did it by hand. Sorry 🤷♂️
I can send you the printer file if you are still interested in the wheels. All eight wheels are set ready for printing. Just fire and forget.
Done well! I have Revell Jaguar E-Type. I would like ask you that where wire from?

10:06...LOL!!!
Where do you buy you tamiya panel liner as I can’t seem to find it anywhere?
I have put links in the description ;)
Ok thanks
What do you use for the spark plug wires, and where do you get them?

Thanks
I don't own a 3-D printer but would like to purchase some after market wire wheels for my Revell XK-E kit. I understand Walid Khier has the file, but who could print these for someone with no access to a printer? If I have overlooked the source within your information, I apologize. Thanks for any help you could give me.
I printed them myself
@@TheScalemodelingChannel Would you be open to printing a set of the wheels for a fee?
@@flyingphotography5770 sure
@@TheScalemodelingChannel I’d be grateful. How may we communicate offline so I can forward payment to you?

lots of problems this build :-) when do we see more of the Peugeot 205 GTi
When i have enough parts for the next episode
Go check out a4 garage he built the same model
First
I can tell yo as an e-type owner myself , there are so INACCURACIES with this kit its worthless to even try to correct , dont waste your time. WRONG : TRANSMISSION, EXHAUST MANIFOLD, FAN BEHIND RADIATOR SHOULD NOT HAVE A SHAFT FROM ENGINE , ect.
This kit is your nirvana I guess.
beautifull work as allway's, but for me is the E-Type still ugly as f... ;D
