    Since the succes of the Focusright scartate and becoming one of the most sold audio interface world wide other companies are jumping on the budget train to get a piece of the pie Including Aturia with there under $200 interfaces. The focusright changed the game. Just My opinion.

    I purchased it a week ago and need for playing the midi function of my accordion (the bass buttons are modified so I can play a tuba). I purchased it because of the midi in/out … It works very well. The Audio interface in my Homestudio is an Antelope ZenQ, but that has no midi in/out, moreover I don‘t want to take it for mobile purposes. Thanks for your comments on the Volt 1. 👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻

    Great! Thought about just buying this one. But of everything - it was old UA users that talked me into buying an imaginary used Apollos instead. Imaginary, because my budget now is Volt, and I wanted to buy it. Maybe I should buy many volts for my new music studios....

    My direct reaction right now is that the sound has a more focused approach in the upper regions. With vintage mood it’s even more of that.
    Is that more headroom in general? I’ve looked att it for sometime.
    Maybe I dive into the office and buy it? Just like that???
    Yeah! Root 🎶

    I’m not sure I heard a difference with vintage mode… maybe it’s something to be heard better with guitar or bass.

    John Mike! Good day to you! I really need your help as a specialist, I really need your advice and your help in choosing a midi keyboard for myself, as for a beginner, in a home studio. Please tell me which of these three would you options would advise me more than one, the only one, and that it would be normal and in quality, it also didn’t make much noise, but it was also suitable for playing and recording at the computer, here are these options: 1) Alesis Q49 mk2 ;M-Audio Keystation 49 mk3;Nektar SE61;which of these three budget options do you think would be best for me to create electronic music in the style of Trance and Uplifting Trance, I think you know these styles? Looking forward to hearing from you!

    My biggest question is can you run the UA Plug-ins with this unit as you can with the Apollo units???

    • @alexandrebaroni1057
      @alexandrebaroni1057 2 роки тому +2

      No. It doesn´t has DSP´s. But UA just start to release the Plug-ins to run on CPU. It´s a subscribed model (SPARK).

    Happy Easter John. I won't buy this device, I am waiting for Arturia MiniFuse 4 (it gives me 2 usb links to connect keyboards, nice if you play live with a MacBookPro). I don't like a vintage mode that I cannot manage on my DAW, same for a 1176 compressor. I prefer to get the full freedom on my project.
    I told you some months ago that audio boards with DSP have no future: microprocessors like M1 are hugely better. UAD strategy is clear: they are moving to plain boards and offer native subscriptions...

    • @Johnmike
      @Johnmike  2 роки тому

      Yea the mini fuse is killing…got a review coming on that one this week…but this unit and the others still have a form of DSP built in with the vintage mode and the 76 compressors…albeit it’s not the traditional dsp like their other units but still is a form of dsp…Focusrite has it built in as well with their “air” mode…but I don’t disagree with you totally…dsp and or forms of it will still be around for years to come…

    Volt is basically just another low end device nothing particularly special about it. The built in stuffetc is nothing special that you couldn't do with other cheap plugins. The bundled plugins are okay albeit nothing special.

      It’s called the “UAD Volt” 🤷🏾‍♂️

    • @Crysco.mp3
      @Crysco.mp3 2 роки тому

      @@Johnmike It's made by Universal Audio and is called the Volt. Nothing says UAD VOLT, Sir. UAD is referring to the UA's DSP powered plugin eco-sytem. It actually gets confusing now that they don't require DSP to run nowadays.

    • @Johnmike
      @Johnmike  2 роки тому +1

      @@Crysco.mp3 makes sense…I stand corrected…however as you acknowledged it’s hecka confusing considering

    • @Crysco.mp3
      @Crysco.mp3 2 роки тому

      @@Johnmike it’s all good my brother. Great content still. I actually bought a volt 276 to integrate into my 32 channel RME setup. If you turn direct monitoring on, it’s basically a standalone two channel strip with UA vintage emulation, and compression. I run the mic in’s into my microphone patchbay, and the units outs to the inputs of my RME interfaces. I have been bypassing 1073’s, and other boutique pre-amps and compressors, for this as a quick solution. It’s actually amazing. And it works great as a mobile interface to use with my laptop, and MPC when I’m traveling. Does UA vote, is low-key a game changer if you’re on a budget especially.

    I absolutely cannot tell the difference between vintage mode on or off. I've used the under $200 interfaces for about ten years and I think they're all basically the same. Except for the PreSonus. That one's really bad.
