Chaps, it is far worse than you realise. I worked in this sector. Not only are taxpayers paying for this the rents paid are twice market rate before the costs of administration on government and private side. Happy to talk with you.

There’s always room on the streets. In fact, here in the USA the government of California is spending billions to proliferate the homeless, using a fraction (6 million dollars) of all the tax payer dollars spent on housing for for 4 of them, making NGO’s and government officials a lot of money. Actually, they don’t know where the 2 billion + went.
My husband moved to America from Italy 9 years ago when we got married. Everything this woman said about legal immigration in America is true. Husband just got his permanent resident card in 2021 - we had to pay FULL health care without the rate one normally gets based on wages - so 700.00 per month during the first year of the pandemic right before we got any aid for being in lockdown. Yet right now, all these immigrants are getting free health care etc.. everything we couldn't do. We were told we had to pay health insurance at the maximum price even though he's paying taxes, or risk his status here being revoked. Suddenly the exact opposite is happening.
My spouse is from the UK.
His immigration was an extremely expensive process, he never received anything for free, and now pays through the nose in taxes.

If it's turned to emergency accommodation then state will pay serco £2000+ a WEEK serco don't tell the landlord this, Serco will earn £60- £100k plus a year, but pay the owner in the region of £15k and the owner thinks is a good deal, but Serco are stuffing their pockets with state cash
The state is being rinsed and landlords dont know they are being ripped off, it's an absolute gold rush

Signing a mortgage with a bank is the instrument that creates the money they lend you, and demand you pay back to them with interest. The banks then sell the mortgage deed / instrument as a "bond".
The banks also calculate the interest so that at the end of the settled mortgage period, they have recieved what they predicted the property would be worth when it's settled. So if you get a mortgage, you are paying for what the bank thinks the property will be worth in 25-30yrs. Not the price you agree with the vendor.
It's all a con.
Plus you're paying interest rates that change instead of the interest at the time you took out the loan.

Mps have to declare any investments held greater than about 70K. That should be expanded to any amount of cash if it is a company is in receipt of government funding. How many MPs have SERCO investments just under the threshold for declaring it??
I am the second largest provider of Private Sector Property to benefit recipients and I wouldn’t touch the Serco deal with a barge pole. The rules are a million miles from those that the hotel industry cash in on.

Has anyone explained to the Landlords that as they are tax payers, they are actually being handed their own money? As they give more money to the Landlords, the tax income will have to increase, which means higher taxes for the Landlords. But hey, we can keep this going until the freaking message gets through to them.
