Great video mate! I didn't expect such a small chipper to be able to do that at that speed! I guess the deciduous branches over 2" can just be dealt with using a chainsaw anyway. It looks really useful seeing as there's always a lack of space in the van and storage!
Great video, very honest and informative. Was thinking of getting a chipper as I have to pay £40 a time to tip my waste. Breaking it down like that will mean I can go every month instead of every week! Pay for itself in no time.
I bought one of these based on your review and I have to say it’s been a great investment, saved me so much time and rubbish removal. I would recommend it to anyone. Thanks for taking the time to put up the video, been a great help. Thanks Michael The Really Useful Gardening Co (Based in Essex)

Great video - thanks. I bought one of these but the mulcher version. The chips are really fine, perfect for composting. Great little machine for the money. You just have to have realistic expectations.
Brilliant for what I’d be looking to chip when I finally get going in March and the size of it would happily sit in the van. Thanks for the review Jay 👍🏻

Great Vid. I have been thinking of getting one but I am unsure between the electric and the petrol version. Has anyone experienced with the FM4DDE, the electric version? They say you can only use a maximum of 10m extension cord. I would need my 50m extension cord would it still work? Also, it's a 4HP electric motor against a 6HP petrol engine but the same 50mm diam max size. Does that make sense?

I got mine and used on a big Solanum. After a couple of long branches with the green leaf on the end it started to stop throwing it out of the shoot and collect on the cutting blade area. I had to keep talking the shoots off to clean out the debris. Start again and with 2 branches it was clogged again. I am not sure why it doesnt want to push out the chippings but very disappointed with it

Many thanks for the review, Jay. How does it do on things like wisteria whips please? My chipper tends to tear at them and not cut them up into small sections. How would this handle them? Also, would it handle putting through previously composted material that needs chopping up smaller, or would this clog it up? Many thanks for your help! Regards, Tony.
Hi Tony! Thank you for commenting, I haven’t put any through to be honest although I did notice that it does strip Buddleja up sometimes, most I would say it Chips, but it may possibly happen with Wisteria. No I don’t think it would. It deals with fresh leaves fine though. If you check their website they also have a shredder/ chipper, slightly more expensive but I believe that would do the job better 💪🏽
Hi mate ! I haven’t actually put Laurel through it, as long as it has something to bite onto it’s absolutely fine, so far I have had beech, conifer and privet through no problem, just sometimes you need a probing stick as it is only a small chute 🌱
Im thinking of getting one of these for pruning jobs for my gardening business. Wanting something can lift into the van but powerful. Would you recommend it for that and do you get problems with leafy stuff and clogging?
Best chipper on the market for the price point, it will take 2inch very soft wood (willow) ok. I keep anything 2 inch plus for firewood so have no intention of chipping those.
