It is a constant battle to make our businesses more efficient. Investing in tools can be a gamble if you spend the money and there is minimal increase in productivity. For a landscaping company who cut down a lot of bushes, a huge wood chipper would be great but very expansive and a bit cumbersome. So we decided to give this little guy with a lot of bite a go instead. Forest Master FM4DDE 240v electric wood chipper, is small enough to carry around but strong enough to handle up to 50mm branches. Let see how we het on with a pile of conifer.

Forest Master should include safety glasses and earplugs in the box along with the woodchipper.

"For a landscaping company who cut down a lot of bushes"
Hedge trimmers are pretty good at clearing vegetation into loose stuff - brambles, general overgrown weeds etc.

I bought one of these brand new and used it for one full day on hedge cuttings and thin branches. Next time I used it the blade shattered on the first stem no bigger than 10mm. As it was under warranty I contacted the supplier Wrightbuyers who said it was my fault because I should have checked the blades before use. I was very disappointed as it had only had a few hours use but thy insisted it was wear and tear and said I could buy new blades from them for £40. My recommendation is avoid this machine it will cost you more than you think and is quite unreliable. Checking the blades before every use is time consuming and impractical when working. There are far better machines on the market from far more helpful and scrupulous suppliers.
