I never bother with chippers,i have a big tipper trailer and just take green waste to skip, works for me but they are handy in there own right for borders etc but it takes time to chip it all down. Great video.
Thanks 👍 yea makes sense, I don't chip too much now unless it's quicker and easier than the drag as I have easy green waste dump site. Guessing the big towable chippers eat everything quickly but the one I have you have to weigh up the time and effort involved. Thanks for watching 👍
Great chipper, got mine new last week. Worth the extra money. It facilitates work that I would have avoided before and of course you can charge extra for ‘chipper hire’ Love the channel👍
I'm sure you won't be disappointed, just dress stuff down fairly straight and keep the dry/ dead wood out or mix with green. Does this mean I'm officially an influencer now 😂
I have always turned / sharpened the blades every 25 hours and also make shore the blade gap never gets more than the thickness of a card makes all the difference to the cutting , also have a hour meter on mine for the oil change 25 hours .
Great piece of kit for the gardener. I have the Jansen GTS-1500E 15hp love it. Your blades not to bad once it stop getting pulled in automatically on the Jansen it time to sharpen them. Great job
Hi mate , yea they love the straight bits , used mine on a couple of jobs last week , good to get it out again ! Did a load of hawthorn with it which it loved , few more jobs to do with it in feb , then I’m going to get blades checked and service . Cheers Andrew
The worst bit about my little chipper is the last bit of branch that doesn't quite get pulled through with the rest and ends up bouncing around at the bottom of the chute 😅 apart from that it's a cracking bit of kit and I wouldn't be without it now 👍🏼
The bit that stops the drum from turning the next time you want to start it🙄😅 been there. I always keep a few small bits for the last to help clear anything through. Don't use mine every week but glad I've got mine too👍
Nice chipper. I got a little cobra for £800. Cracking machine for the price. Deals with 3 inch no problem. There’s something oddly satisfying chipping! Although my back doesn’t like all the bending down
The red ones right? Think I've seen one locally being used and it reduced a good pile in a day👍 the feeding of these gravity machines can be tiring and a pain at times. Cheers
Definitely need a chipper this year I can vouch for this machine here as I rent it out when I need it for hedging jobs, cracker machine and easy access if it does block up, it loves the petrol so it does, I used it for 12 ft cherry laurels and Conifer beast of a machine, I like it because of its size and its accessibility to any property great job Nathan 👍

They're popular 👍 think if I had a job that was through a house or something where access was bad and it could chip waste on that job I'd pick one up. What's the cost roughly?
The little forest master with guards removed is amazing. At circa 30 kilos it’s light enough to be lifted over things if needs be. Think mine cost £390 and paid for itself within a few weeks and hasn’t missed a beat in over a year. Smaller Chippers really come into their own when the waste isn’t near the van so you can take the chipper to the waste and either bag or chip into beds.
@@LewisgardenservicesLtd about £470... A bit more to have them assembled etc. I picked one up on eBay.. only a year old and basically like new. Only £340 so pretty chuffed 🙂. Yes definitely has its benefits for being so small and light to get to those awkward places etc. Also super easy to get in and out of the van, definitely recommend 👍🏻
Certainly fires it out pretty nicely. I’m dithering over whether to open my wallet for one of these having read and seen positive reviews. I made the schoolboy error of buying a Hyundai a few years back and I wouldn’t wish it on my worst enemy.
I went for this hoping it wouldn't give me any problems and it hasn't, it has it's limits obviously being gravity fed. So many to choose from now tho this size. Good luck deciding 👍
Hi, they are just the cheap ones off eBay around £100. Had for years, treads starting to fall off now tho, easy take 250kg which is around the max I've used for. There is a video on them way back on channel. Cheers 👍

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd You can't handle pyracantha eh? There's no squashing it. It really is great however for security hedging 😅 the old stuff twisted and thorny wonderful!

i wish eliet did them with that size of engine on there minor major small range its been demonstrated your greenmech will hold that size of engine for the size of machine
Never used one but they look quality, nearly went for a shredding one years ago. The engine on mine seems the perfect size for it and wouldn't want much less power. Cheers 👍
It goes to various places depending on what it is. Chip goes to a few friends, the allotments get supplied around here by some of the big arb companies locally. Thanks for watching and the comment 👍
looks a meaty chipper, not what I would call a little chipper, compared to forest master or hornet lol. defiantly a cost saving device, and greener too!
Yea nice to see the chip going back into the garden. I guess it's as big as they get before being towable size, much smaller tho I'd be there days on that conifer waste😬😅
As far as the chipper , thats a no go for me. Even with little jobs it takes so long to chip not to mention taking the unions out of it like you say, that when you may aswell chuck in the back and pay the dumping fee takes way less time
I do both or a combination of both depending on access, is waste can chip on site, distance from green waste tipping etc. anything smaller than this I definitely think would take too long. Thanks for watching 👍
They are, and you can definitely get cheaper but when I bought it there was slightly less options than now and I went for quality, it's done well so far so I'm ok with it👍 hopefully it's still worth a few quid 😅
