It’s almost as if the car game community has stated exactly what we wanted in a game and year after year the companies give us what the companies want. Then say the genre is dying. What is going on? How have they progressively gotten worse ?
Literally no one asked for a lifeless small map with online-only and a lack of content with horrible physics
I was gonna pre-order the game, I was sure I'd at least buy the game, but seeing this beta just reversed all of that for me sadly, as it was promising. You are right. They are making games now to satisfy their own wants, not the customer base.

Car games can't just have a regular character starting from the bottom grinding for each car and mod anymore. I miss the Midnight Club series.
Unfortunately, the modern generation of players is too impatient for that. I would have preferred it too. Oh well. I'll just not buy the game then...

You state that it’s unfair to compare it against Forza Horizon etc. but they are charging Forza Horizon prices for the game… £70+ for these kind of graphics is absurd.
Not defending the graphics issue, but the standard price for this is £49.99. The £75 version he bought is the deluxe upgrade giving full release early access and extra content, which I didn't hear him mention other than the beta access.

What I don’t understand is why didn’t they just take TDU 2 and redo everything to work smoothly on ps5 and Xbox next gen??? With updated cars smh. Plus I have seen nothing talking about bikes that’s what made TDU 1 and TDU 2 superior to all the other racing games 2004-still till today. Only other game with bikes are the crew and we all know how the crew is cough cough bad.

and also an offline mode too, especially in the light of most non motorsports racing at the time of it's release (The Crew 1 and NFS Rivals) we're pushing the always online aspect, and now this one putrid garbage out of stupidity

Surprising how dated the game looks, especially since Nacon have been producing sports and racing type games for a few years now. They are responsible for the TT Isle of Man 3, WRC Generations, Overpass 2 and Robocop Rogue City. Also, they have been responsible for the generic cycling game series: Tour de France. Maybe that’s why the graphics for Test Drive are ‘iffy to say the least. Unfortunately, it’s yet another ‘live service game that we didn’t ask for and don’t need…
I'm really amazed at how many people defend the company and treat them as if this was their first racing game ever. The company has been around since 2006 and most of their games have been racing games. So they should have enough experience...
Hello Scott, hope you're good. Don't worry, great driving. But you could use both the interior and cockpit cams for every car in every event (for each event, start and end with the chase cam and use the interior cam in-between for a short while).
However I must say that this game isn't living up to the hype. I love the futuristic vibes and while a lot of people are yapping about the graphics they look great to me considering how small Nacon is. I also love the visuals when you conclude an event. Very simple.
But, the physics aren't appealing. The cars don't seem to be planted on the road. Objects and plants should not slow you down considering this is an arcade game. For the upgrades I don't think turbos should be compulsory. Options to leave the cars naturally aspirated or supercharged must be added. The icons on the map should have different colours depending on what they depict and shouldn't be monochrome. A bigger problem is the events. The player should be able to set the AI difficulty he/she wants. The countdown to the events must not be there in single player mode and the player should be able to decide if he/she wants to play an event in solo mode (purely against AI) or against other players (Like Forza Horizon games). The biggest problem of them all is that this is the first online-only game in the series. Nacon must take note of all these before adding stuff that they want to add to the game otherwise it's not worth it.

The ai in racing is the same as test drive unlimited 2 i have started playing it for the first time in my life and what annoyed me is handling and easy races
Thanks for this video Scott. I've been really trying to give this game a chance...smh. I draw the line at 30fps. I refuse to play a 30fps racing game. These studios really need to prioritize 60fps. Unfortunately until they switch this this game is DOA for me. The racing genre is in a really bad place right now 🤦🏽. Also R.I.P to your Mom sorry for your loss man 🙏🏽💪🏽.

@fentyykatsucorp they used the PC beta build and added some features and the new intro, so that they don't have to restrict map again. Really research about it before going to a conclusion.
Alex has not been a trustworthy source for me for a long time. He swallows everything the developers feed him without any critical thought. Any criticism in his comments is brushed aside with blunt perseverance slogans. I understand that he's a big fan of the series. So am I. But he and his viewers should really take off their rose- tinted glasses. All this sugar-coating isn't doing anyone any good.

The world looks pretty empty compared to TDU1 & 2.
Races appear to easy and there should be traffic while racing seems like a ghost town. They need to work on drifting too lol also add houses u can purchase 😅

Regarding body kits/aerodynamic parts they said that they will add that (for all the cars or for some cars like the JDM ones) as well as more aftermarket wheels and houses/apartments to buy. Coming in a feature update! They said that police chases maybe coming, they are still thinking. If we want they will add that in the future as well. But body kits, more aftermarket wheels and houses are 100% confirmed. They said that in an interview with Alex VII. ✌️❤️

People have to realize kt racing is a small studio they mainly make rally sims where they don’t do open world but small stages so of course the graphic quality isn’t going to be AAA quality as a veteran fan of the test drive series I’m just happy the series is back it was basically the first mmo racing game as long as the gameplay is smooth and the cars sound good and the atmosphere is right that’s all I care about

Honestly it’s exactly what a lot of us wanted . Test drive unlimited 2 look with better visuals. We wanted the wooden dialogue and campy feel. U can tell they stayed with the same art style of TDU 1 and 2 . I’m all for it .

Anyone that does is just allowing the 'Test Drive Unlimited' title to go to their head. It's not on the level of the original games at all.
What's funnier still is TDU1 and 2 will still be playable and enjoyed years after the TDUSC servers are shut down and the game is no longer playable, since it requires a server connection to play.
Is there some sort of auto brake assist activated? Driving seems a bit off sometimes when you accelerate and the car suddenly starts to stuttee
