You have outdone yourself. I really love those inset grills on the old style radio cabinet.

Great video Chad! I love this radio. And the combination of traditional woodworking and new tools is great! Another reason for the honeycomb bed is to allow the smoke to escape under the piece so it won't get soot all over your project.

Great project Chad! Love the design of the radio. I have my great grandparents' old Philco radio that didn't work, so I took out the guts and put a bluetooth speaker in it too. It worked great, but later I decided to get a bluetooth speaker kit from Parts Express and install all the knobs, switches, speaker, etc in the existing holes in the radio. It's a good option if anyone wants to have working knobs and switches and such. Love the lights and dimmer idea too. Good to see a project video from you!!!

I was trying to figure out how you got the dial to light up since I didn't see you put a light there. Then I noticed the tin foil you put in front of the dial at about 9:04. Great idea! I have been wanting to do something similar to this for a long time. I am totally going to "borrow" a lot of this for my project.
Yes the foil did a great job at reflecting the light to the dial.
