The desolation actually happened in 70ad not 168bc

Antiochus didn't defile the Temple. That is false history written by the victor. The Persian/Assyrian/Samaritan/Hasmonean Pharasees DID. 165BC The Maccabees THEY took over the Temple and exiled the true Temple priests to the wilderness of Judea where John the Baptist lived. THEY were in full control of the Temple and THEY changed YAHUAHS WAY to their own religion. Their god is/was Ashima/Hashem. Still to this day. Rev 2:9 and 3:9

It's actually the Romans in 70 ad. They destroyed the temple.

Thanks for your comment, but I must disagree. Antiochus absolutely defiled the temple in all that he did to it. It was Antiochus who attempted to turn the Hebrew culture into a Greek culture. He is the one who brought in temple prostitutes, slaughter unclean animals on the altar, brought in an idol of Zeus, etc.
