Jesus is going to return someday and I believe all of us will be surprised and in awe of how he fullfills everything different than we ever imagined! Hallelujah!
Well God told us that he was going to provide Jesus as a sacrificial lamb to redeem us from our sins and the Jewish brothers didn't want to believe the other thing that God said that they would reject him and kill him. Hundreds of years before the birth of Jesus, the prophets wrote that the Messiah would be a servant. Isaiah wrote, “See my servant, my Chosen One in whom I delight.” (Isaiah 42:1). Our Jewish brothers did not accept this or believe this because in their eyes a king is not a servant and he has power and wealth and status. See part of God's goodness is that he's not impulsive and he doesn't want anybody to be in the dark he has plans and he tells us those plans so that we can know what he is doing and we can know what to expect and know how to walk accordingly to his will. And so if we reject or don't believe or we are unaware of God's plans when those plans are being acted out we will be caught off guard and unaware of what's going on therefore we most likely will not be acting appropriately. And we see this with jesus's first coming
Usually prophecy fulfillment is not "obvious" until it's fulfilled... &, like you said, it's usually fulfilled in a way we wouldn't/couldn't have predicted. And sometimes a prophetic passage can be "missed" as prophetic until after the fact. Keeping things exciting God is 😅
You may have alot to answer for by your admission of teaching a religion divorced from the NT, I comment regularly to Rob Solberg but his position is fixed on defending not falsifying, but it is a good exercise. I have left a comment on this video to Rob which I hope you read, as the promise /prophecy given to Abraham can only have one legitimate religion, and as Jesus did uniquely qualify as the Messiah he predicted that religion would start no later than AD70.
@@maxprescott9371 Shalom, I'm very well thank you, enjoying the mundane days of the Passover. I'm Jewish, I don't believe in Jesus, neither would you if Hebrew was your native tongue..
@@PazPinhasRahamim9220 And? 1. He shows the book, chapter, and verse. He encouraged viewers to look up those verses themselves. 2. The point remains the same. The covenant was a blessing if God's commandments were kept, and a curse if His commandments were not kept. 3. Church? Church doesn't do any of this. Your think you found a "gotcha", but such a weak argument makes YOU look like the manipulator.
Rob..This was so helpful and informative ..I understand afresh that God’s thoughts and ways our different to mine…always a blessing to tune in..God bless ❤️🙏
PTL brother.. Love the " transparent and translucent glass" example used when it comes to prophecy, awesome.. "that is the exception (transparent) rather than the rule. Most prophecies are translucent, they’re unclear" Thank you and blessings!
Thank you for putting this together. Looking forward to learning more about prophecy as it relates to eschatology. I also bought Dr. Brent Sandy's book after your mentioning here. If there are other books or papers you recommend, please let me know as it can be difficult to discern where to go to find good material on these subjects.
Thank you Prof Solberg... I belong to a very intense and impassioned multi denominational bible study. It is both a wonderful and frustrating exercise trying to discern between the literal and more symbolic prophecies. Praying that we will be able to be less dogmatic on the less than straight forward passages.🎉
Love the work you are doing. Lots of good points to ponder and challenge my understanding. Awesome compare/contrast of prophecy and fulfillment. @38:05 I was just reading 1 Cor 2 this morning, especially vv9-16. In v9, Paul quotes Isa 64:4. I eventually went to Isa 55, which is declaring a similar thought: we are small, God is immeasurable. What was powerful about the HS inspired writing of Paul’, in v10 we see that the HS has been given to us so that we can “get in on God’s thoughts.” Not through human wisdom, but by the unveiling through the HS. And finally, he writes in v16 that we have (can access and understand) the mind (mindset) of Christ (cf. Phil 2:1-8).
I feel into the prophecy trap in younger years. But in reality there are not pieces yet to complete the puzzle. We keep our eyes on it but our paramount concern is study and service. Prophecy will take care of itself and we do live in exciting and troubling times. Remember to Pre-Order Professor R L Solberg’s book. God bless all of you.
Where in the Bible does it say you’ll get an immortal body? Didn’t Jesus say, he who believes on me shall never die? If you believe in Christ, you are immortal.
Great discussion. If I could add another point, there are times when prophetic passages have more than one fulfillment, or a part of a passage is fulfilled while another part of the same passage is yet to come. E g. The Immanuel prophecy, or the Isaiah passage Jesus read in the synagogue at Nazareth. I think the Joel passageis like that.
I've seen the Isaiah 66:17 passage as a description of those who were doing idol worship coming into God's judgement, not a mere list of charges against them. Also, to see a passage like the Zech 14 one come to fruition will be interesting in light Jesus saying we don't need to worship on a certain mountain or in Jerusalem. In my experience, lots of ppl from the HRM would often use eschatological views/verses to threaten those under the law of Christ to imply they're in the wrong, are going to be judged, and to lowkey Judaize. For the more racial-oriented sects, they would harp on the future "ruling the nations" passages and what life "in the kingdom" would be like for exacting revenge or simply reveling in the fact that they have (European or Gentile) subservients
This prophecy reveals America in the scriptures! We can know "when" we are on God's prophetic calendar. It is written in the book of 2nd Esdras. Chapter 11 contains a prophecy that describes a line of American presidents, five of whom are still alive, and two of them are being kept until "the end." All of them are old men. "The end" is fast approaching. I have condensed the prophecy into a series of short lessons - my gift to you. Please allow me to guide you through them, step by step, and into understanding. Blessings to you and your loved ones.
Teacher, it’s ok if you don’t know we all have different offices in Jesus Christ, but check this out ““For the Lord God does nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7 ESV
And perhaps Joel's original audience didnt expect this to be fulfilled literally; they knew right well he was speaking metaphorically in the same way we know Susan isn't literally a 'busy bee'.
For those interested in the various figures of speech used in the bible I suggest, two books by EW Bullinger , the first is his Companion bible, it is a kjv bible with a companion column that is not a commentary but a cross reference , an alternate interpretation to the greek and Hebrew words used in translation and the various figures of speech used ... the rear of the bible has 200 indexes of maps , historical documents and archeological finds on the bible and so much more . The second book is Figures of Speech in the bible , it is a comprehensive list of every rype and where it is used ... this is for serious study ...
Some of these prophecies, like the one from Joel, may have a double fulfillment. They could be partially fulfilled in one cents at one point in time, but then be fulfilled in a different way later on. Just wanted to put that out there. It seems like allowing for, prophecies that don’t fulfill themselves in some literal sense in some context give the false prophets of too much credibility.
Rob, The only issue with the prophecy of the altar is chronology. All the details of the prophecy did occur… just not in the order or when we might have expected. By analogy then, we can expect the details of Ez 43 - 48 to be carried out exactly according to Torah commands…but maybe not when we expect? With respect to Josiah’s death, it seems HE LEFT THE PEACE THAT GOD PROMISED HIM when he went out to battle with Pharoah Necho and, in so doing, perhaps, hoped to blunt the promised destruction from Babylon by siding with Babylon against Egypt and Assyria. Perhaps the prophecy had an “if then” clause? At any rate, he ignored the warning from God through Pharoah Necho. Though not specifically stated in Scripture, some believe Jeremiah also warned Josiah not to attack Necho. 20 After all this, when Josiah had prepared the temple, Necho king of Egypt came up to fight against Charchemish by Euphrates: and Josiah went out against him. 21 But he sent ambassadors to him, saying, What have I to do with thee, thou king of Judah? I come not against thee this day, but against the house wherewith I have war: for GOD COMMANDED ME TO MAKE HASTE: FORBEAR THEE FROM MEDDLING WITH GOD, WHO IS WITH ME, THAT HE DESTROY THEE NOT. 22 Nevertheless Josiah would not turn his face from him, but disguised himself, that he might fight with him, and HEARKENED NOT UNTO THE WORDS OF NECHO FROM THE MOUTH OF GOD, and came to fight in the valley of Megiddo. 23 And the archers shot at king Josiah; and the king said to his servants, Have me away; for I am sore wounded. 24 His servants therefore took him out of that chariot, and put him in the second chariot that he had; and they brought him to Jerusalem, and he died, and was buried in one of the sepulchres of his fathers. And all Judah and Jerusalem mourned for Josiah. 25 And Jeremiah lamented for Josiah: and all the singing men and the singing women spake of Josiah in their lamentations to this day, and made them an ordinance in Israel: and, behold, they are written in the lamentations. (2 Chron 35:20-25) And finally, there’s Joel 2. I really believe that Peter, in the exuberance of the moment, burst forth with one of his ill-timed comments. I don’t believe for a moment that the Acts 2 events were the fulfillment of the Joel 2 prophecy… this is still to come… yes, with the sun turning dark and the moon becoming as blood AT THE SAME TIME… NOT AN ECLIPSE. Shalom
The text doesn’t say Josiah would die in peace. Just that he would be buried in peace. Prophecy is best taken in hindsight. However, the scriptures do tell the reader to discern, understand, repent and be prepared. Like the wise virgins.
@@davidsawyer1599 yup I rechecked the timestamp you gave. On Dr Solberg’s chart the quote says “buried in peace.” That’s what I was referring to. That being said, my Bible (GNB) says “die in peace”. I assume that Dr Solberg’s Bible is more accurate than mine. Thanks. Have a great day too.

The covenant that Israel (and Judea) broke is the "Old Testament" covenant, where God promised that Israel (and Judea) would be uniquely blessed by God, so long as they conducted their nations according to God's will. The books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy include God's laws and principles for a righteous nation. Because Israel (and Judea) refused to obey the covenant - becoming oppressive nations instead, God rejected them.
@@Bible_Prophecy_School You have provided the stereotypical western church response. "....the covenant they broke..." is actually referred to by Jeremiah in 31:32. Your comment that G-D rejected them (Israel) is a gateway to replacement theology. Additionally, there remains no such thing as a biblical "testament" old or new
@@mitchchapman2754 Yes, Jeremiah 31:31-32 refers to both covenants: the covenant that God made with ancient Israel (as described in Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy, and which they rejected), as well as the "better covenant" that "replaced" the first covenant (as described in Hebrews 8:6). The term "testament" appears in Matthew, Mark, Luke, 1 and 2 Corinthians, Hebrews and Revelation. It is synonymous with "covenant."

@@heather602 No Paul wasn't shooting down the preterist interpretation of the scriptures. While it was true the fulfilment was still in his future at that stage, it is not in ours. 70AD was the fulfilment date. What it does show was that the church in Thessalonica was expecting that the catching up of the saint's was expected in their generation. If they were not expecting the event in their lifetime they would had simply ignored the idea of the catching up of the saints having already taken place. Paul did not tell them that it would not, rather he pointed out that the man of lawlessness which he had already taught them about had yet to set himself up in the temple and be destroyed before the end would come. The man of lawlessness had already been identified by Paul and unless that man is around today he would have to be over 2,000 years old. That's the craziness of futurism.

@@TheBiblicalRootsThanks for your reply… if we look at the full context of the entire chapter, then it seems that It’s just an indicator of the times and we can identify with it more .. that certain pieces have come to pass … it places themselves and us into the context of the fuller events that include the coming of the Lord, final judgment, and repentance. We can see more of it than Peter could at that time … that it includes the coming of the Lord in full … first and second coming... speaks to the attributes of their times and what will be bestowed then but will also be poured out in judgment in the final coming of the Lord. One demonstrated a relationship with God while the other thinks he has one..." - Ivan from Montreal
As a prophetic minister, I appreciate your understanding of how biblical language is easily misunderstood by modern Western thinkers. The only real issue I have is late in your video referring to John as being a type of Elijah when Jesus compares JTB to the earlier prophet. You ignored the verse following in which Jesus goes on to say that Elijah truly _SHALL_ come again to restore all things. This passage says that Elijah will indeed come again, and since JTB was already dead and did not restore all things, we know this prophecy must be fulfilled by the literal Elijah when he returns in the future. I would also point out that prophecies describing calamitous events such as earthquakes, wars, plagues, and death, such as those found in Revelation, may use language often assumed to be metaphorical but in reality are a warning of actual events. God bless!
Didn't Elijah appear on the mount of Transfiguration? I might note also, that I know hundreds of Elijahs. God is still sending out his ministers to speak the message, just as he sent the 12 and later the 70.
43:04 that is exactly what the Jews did that caused them to reject the Messiah the first time he came. do we think that God is trying to trick us or keep us uninformed about his plans?
It is interesting that these individuals eating swine's flesh are likely introduced a chapter earlier in Isaiah 65:2-5 in what seems to be a pre-Messianic context. Chapter 65 goes on to say that God will not destroy these people totally because He would bring forth an heir from Judah. (Isaiah 65:8-9) This picture of what rebellion looks like is from an Old Covenant context. It seems like it is used in Chapter 66 to describe rebellious enemies of God in a way Isaiah's audience could understand from their personal experience.
ABSOLUTELY. That is the one of the problems with so-called "Christianity" - nothing is clear. Everyone has an idea, interpretation, opinion, thought. There is no sole, single source, approved & accepted document / text that whenever anyone reads it, regardless of their background, they will understand what it means & says - without any question or doubt.

Thanks again😊As Eph 2:10 says that we are God's Handiwork in Christ the ground text translates Handiwork with Poem. So we've been created by a literary God. how awesome! This is the only scripture I use for especially those who believe in flat earth. During a reading by a flat earth believer of Isa 40:12-31, how beautiful God created the earth, I referred to Isa 41:8-9, where Jacob and Abraham were taken by God from the ends and corners of the earth. We all know Abraham came from Ur and Jacob from the land where Laban lived with his 2 daughters. After an incoherent answer, I asked so this verse should be read metaphorical? And the answer was yes. There is metaphorically no consistence in wrong teaching. Just like you said, context is KING.😬
We actually can accurately understand the second coming. The first believers were able to believe because they understood what was coming. How did they understand what was coming by keeping God's commands and keeping his feast days which pointed to our Savior. Keeping Passover pointed to the Passover lamb keeping the feast of Tabernacles points us to his second coming it helps us to understand, although before it happens we might not in fact we don't quite have the ability to imagine it if you will, but in keeping those feasts it prepares us and enables us to recognize what's happening when it's happening. It is clear enough for us to know God's plans. It's mentioned he tells us the end from the beginning and so if we go and look at the beginning we have as much understanding as we need to be aligned with God's will the second time of his coming
Rob, I would like to start this discussion with something you said toward the end of your presentation. YOUR WORDS: “Because we believe that all Scripture is God’s inspired word and therefore will not contradict itself, it’s a wise practice to use the clear text to shed light on passages that are harder to understand like these Old Testament prophecies.” MY RESPONSE: Indeed, this is a basic hermeneutical principle (akin to Occam’s Razor) that I believe in also. YOUR WORDS: “So, we should be using the things revealed in the New Testament to properly interpret the Old Testament. The New Testament will never contradict the Old Testament, of course.” MY RESPONSE: Yes, I find this to be true also. So, let’s use the NT to evaluated the OT. Here’s a very simple, direct NT verse: 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW. (1 John 3:4) And another: 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (Torah). 3 For this is the love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2,3) Hmmm…funny…these don’t change my understanding of passages like: 26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. 27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my STATUTES (H2706, choq / chuqqim), and ye shall keep my judgments (H4941, mishpat / mishpatim), and DO THEM. (Ez 36:26,27) - OR - 31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant (brit chadashah - renewed covenant) with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and with the HOUSE OF JUDAH: (Jer 31:31) 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which MY COVENANT THEY BRAKE, although I WAS AN HUSBAND UNTO THEM, saith the LORD: (Jer 31:32) 33 But this shall be the COVENANT that I will make with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my LAW (Hebrew, TORAH) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jer 31:33) After all - 12 Wherefore the LAW is HOLY, and the COMMANDMENT HOLY, and just, and good. (Rom 7:12) Why would God want to change what’s HOLY, JUST, and GOOD? Why not, instead, place a desire in our hearts to follow His Commandments? Shalom
Hi, Henry! I teach and believe that obedience is God’s “love language.” And I'm sure you would agree that not every command that God has given applies to every person at all times. Some of His commands only apply to certain people (i.e., men, women, parents, Levitical priests) or for certain times (i.e., building an ark, gathering manna, while in exile). And I'm sure you would also agree that we are each only expected to keep the commands of God that apply to us. The NT expressly teaches that many of the commands given under the Old Covenant Law do not apply to Christians today. (ex. Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required (Heb 10:18).) We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). So if we want to put a classification of "law" on it, Christians follow the Law of Christ. Blessings, Rob
@@TheBiblicalRoots Rob, Deflecting much? You get my point though, right? When confronted and challenged with a simple straight forward verse like 1 John 3:4 or verses like 1 John 5:2,3 most of normative Christianity take cover in the convoluted passages of Paul that are easily misinterpreted…and violate the Occam’s Razor principle that you advocate. With regard to the scripture you reference: YOUR WORDS: We are so removed today from the culture and worldview and the era and the language of the prophets… Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required (Heb 10:18). MY REPLY: Yes, and we are similarly removed from the culture, worldview, era, and language of the writers of the NT. 16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my LAWS into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; (Heb 10:16) What would this mean to the people of Paul’s time? Remember that the language of Israel during this time was Aramaic (Acts 1:19), a cognate of Hebrew…and the synagogue / temple language has always been Hebrew. Thus, the Israelites would recall Jer 31:31-33 and understand LAWS to be the Torah. Would God misdirect His people? 17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more. 18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more OFFERING FOR SIN. (Heb 10:18) But just a few verses earlier in the same chapter of Hebrew, we read: 4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. (Heb 10:4) But it was NEVER possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin. So, why did the OT Israelites perform these acts of sacrifice? We contend that it was a temporary covering for sin and an act of obedience, prefiguring God’s final solution to sin and to help them recognize their Messiah when He arrived. So, it’s not so strange that sacrifices will be reinstituted during the Millennial Reign (Ez 43 - 48). They will be carried out as commanded in the Torah in recognition of what He has done and, in this vein, the detail is certain to be completely performed according to Torah and as expected by the NT writers and ourselves. YOUR WORDS: We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). So if we want to put a classification of "law" on it, Christians follow the Law of Christ. MY RESPONSE: So, how does Rom 7:6 line up with 1 John 5:1,2? 2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (Torah). 3 For this is the love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2,3) This passages specifically states the commandments of God, not the commandments of Christ. I would respectfully submit that they are one and the same (Torah). Note the parallelism in the Gospel of John: 19 Did not MOSES give you the LAW, and yet NONE OF YOU KEEPETH THE LAW? Why go ye about to KILL ME? (John 7:19) 37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to KILL ME, because MY WORD HATH NO PLACE IN YOU. (John 8:37) Thus, the law of Moses (Torah) and the words of Messiah Yeshua are one and the same. The Torah / Law of Moses is still with us and we can expect that it will apply to the whole world during the Millennial Reign just as described in Ez 43 - 48 and other prophetic OT passages. Shalom
@TheBiblicalRoots i think we have to be careful to not over analyze academically because scripture was written for everyone to understand, even for those societies of homesteaders. Essentially what you are saying when it comes to end-time prophecies we cannot really have confidence in what is being said until it happens, which deems it pretty much useless to us; however, Jesus seems to disagree because He instructed us to read and understand ("...let the reader understand...") and be watchful. To be watchful one has to know what to look for. I think academics need to be careful to not become like pharisees and catholic priests who believed they were the only ones who are qualified to interpret scriptures. One academic told me he doesn't believe one part of scripture says what appears to say because that understanding didn't match his expected literary structure, as if the Bible writers don't have the right to say what they want how they want to. Usually i really like ur teaching, but this one has to get a thumbs down, sorry.
You are in error here because you do not understand the scriptures. Scripture/the Bible was only written for the few who Jesus came to save to understand. The remaining 99% of the world cannot understand the Bible as you, and the entire 100% apostate church are a perfect example of. The words in the Bible are the words of God, not the words of men. No Biblical writer said what he wanted to say. Please repent and learn what the truth, the gospel, and the Christianity of the Bible actually is.
40:38 is it also possible this was talking about a time that happened before Christ was even born? This might be talking about the Maccabean times. We should first thoroughly rule out the past before we start speculating the future.
Here's what's actually going on Jewish Bible interpretation methods classify four such stages or levels: P'shat (straight, direct, literal), Remez (hinted-at), D'rash (inquire, seek) and Sod (secret, mysterious). These four levels are called PaRDeS for short, as an acronym.

Speaking of Elijah. Malachi 4:5 Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD: 6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. John the Baptist did not turn the heart of the fathers to their children or The heart of the children to their fathers . He done nothing but baptize Jesus and then doubt if Jesus was the one to come .
I respectfully disagree that we can't know prophecy. Jesus warned us and said "Behold I've told you beforehand." "Let no man deceive you by any means." Revelation is all prophecy and those who hear and keep its words will be blessed. God says that man cannot interpret prophecy, but through his Spirit we can receive understanding. Typically the parts of prophecy that are symbolic in nature are translated by an angel in scripture. Otherwise, it's likely literal. Of course metaphorical language can be used to illustrate a literal event, such as the broom of destruction. Jesus gave us the heavenly signs so we can look for them. They are the same signs given in the OT.
Although it is true that there are those who can understand the Bible, the fact is however, 99% of the world and 100% of the church cannot and does not understand the Bible. You, like everyone else do not understand the Bible. You only understand the false teaching and the fake christianity of the apostate church.

I’m actually amazed that you continue the lie of “the Jews don’t read Isaiah 53, or they skip it” because it relates to Jesus. This has been proven false for years. Haftarah doesn’t include it because there’s nothing that relates back to the Torah. They’re not skipping it for jc. Also the videos of Jews reading Isaiah 53 and have never heard it have been proven to be set up. Jews own bibles. They can and continue to read Isaiah 53. It would prove Christianity false based on 53:9 because he died the complete opposite.
It has not been "proven false for years," Christo. Dr. Hananel Mack (professor of Talmud at Bar-Ilan University in Israel) wrote: “Generally speaking, Jews excluded from the haftarot those verses on which Christians based the principles of their religious faith...It would appear that the phenomenon is not mere coincidence and that the trend...was consciously implemented. Although Jews tended to omit certain passages from the Prophets in their haftarah readings, no Jewish scholar ever considered avoiding discussing and studying them as an integral part of the Jewish Scriptures.” - Dr. Hananel Mack, What Happened to Jesus’ Haftarah? (2005). This is why Jews often mistakenly believe the text of Isaiah 53 cones from the NT: It so clearly describes Jesus! Rob
@ you just proved it false! You say it to appear that they avoided it because it’s about Jesus. In the haftarah it’s not included because there’s nothing in Isaiah 53 that would lead them to the Torah which was forbidden to read. That’s the point if the haftarah, to get them to remember the Torah that WAS FORBIDDEN to read during those times. Jews for Judaism website completely destroys the false Christian narrative of these claims. They are false. Only Christians are making these claims to try and prove Jesus. It’s a shame Christians have to do this to prove Jesus. All Jews have full access to the whole Hebrew bible in the original language. They can read it all. The videos reading Isaiah 53 have been false.
Stop trying to steal Israel promises. There is a difference between the body of Christ (where there is no Jew or Gentiles) and Israel. All of prophecy is for Israel. Roman’s through Philemon are the books for the body of Christ. After the fullness of the Gentiles has come God will resume with prophecy, but we are currently in the mystery age of grace that was hid in God since the beginning. We will not see any prophecy play out until then. Stop listening to these false teachers and read scripture for yourself from beginning to end and God will give you understanding.
Darby and C.I Scofield came up with that interpretation in the early 19th century. Then inserted commentary in the Scofield bible that anyone who has gone to seminary has been taught from.. You should research Darby and Scofield and their dispensation doctrine. There are no promises for Israel.. We are the Israel of God. If you are in Christ then you are the Israel of God. For there is neither Jew nor Gentile male or female slave or free. We are all one in Christ..It is not about a race bloodline or zip code. The New Testament teaches that. May I suggest Chuck Baldwin of Liberty fellowship who has a series of Israel messages. He used to teach Scofield dispensation but God opened his eyes concerning Israel. This is not replacement theology but inclusion theology..
But also Prophecy can be understood by scripture. Revelation 9:3 (KJV) And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. The smoke symbolizes the hiding of the sun and moon . The true word of GOD . Revelation 9:10 (KJV) And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months. Revelation 9:19 (KJV) For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails [were] like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt.
@ Rob...... According to you Paul taught the dangerous beliefs of Torah-ism...... Here Are Examples Of Paul Keeping Torah: * Circumcised Timothy (Acts 16:1-3) * Took the nazarite vow (Acts 18:18; 21:17-26) * Taught and observed Gods holy days such as: * Passover (Acts 20:6; 1Cor. 5:6-8; 11:17-34) * Shavuot (Pentecost) (Acts 20:16; 1Cor. 16:8) * Fasting on Yom Kippur (Acts 27:9) . Paul and others made a Temple sacrifice for their Nazarite vow, . So Paul went to the Temple the next day with the other men. They had already started the purification ritual, so he publicly announced the date when their vows would end and sacrifices would be offered for each of them. Acts 21:26 . . Paul kept the Sabbath Acts 18:4 - And he (Paul) reasoned in the synagogue every Sabbath, and persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.(Gentiles) . . Paul taught that a believer in Yeshua the Messiah is saved by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8-9). . After we are saved by grace through faith, Paul taught that we should follow the Torah (Romans 3:28-31). . . Paul followed the Torah through the help of the Holy Spirit (Romans 7:22). . . Paul did not teach people to observe the law in order to be saved or justified. . . That was not the purpose of the law. . . He taught them to observe the law in order to honor God as they walked out the Christian life in the footsteps of their Lord Jesus. . . By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and keep HIS commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. .....1 John 5:2-3 KJV . . I dont have all the bible answers but IF Messiah declared the unclean, clean, by abolishing the Law of Elohim His PERFECT TORAH, Psalms 19:7, Instructions, Teachings for righteous SET APART living in this evil wicked world then HE SINNED by transgressing Deut 4:2 AND that would make Isaiah a False Prophet for making this end time prophesy of Messiahs return ….. Isaiah 66:15-17 . For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire. . 16 For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. . 17 They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one [tree] in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.
Hi Jeff. Paul actually never made a temple sacrifice for a Nazarite vow. He "gave notice of the date when the days of purification would end and the offering would be made (Acts 21:26). But the text doesn't say Paul was the one who would make the offering. And, in fact, Paul was arrested before the offering was made. (See Acts 21:26-28). Also, Paul told us his position on the law. "To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am *not under the law),* so as to win those under the law. To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law." (1 Cor. 9:20-21). Best, RLS

Hey, Smurfy! I actually don't promote "torahelessness." I promote a biblical understanding of the Law of Moses. Here are four things I believe the NT teaches about the law that I have shared previously: (1.) *The Torah has not been done away with.* It is a part of holy Scripture. Every Christian Bible begins with the Torah, and it is, therefore, “breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.” (1 Tim 3:16-17). (2.) *The Law of Moses plays an important role in the life of a Christian.* It witnesses against our sin (Rom. 7:7), points us to Jesus (Gal. 3:23-25), teaches us about God and the history of His people, offers wisdom and insight, deepens our understanding of the person and work of Christ, and challenges us to love God (Deut. 6:4-5) and love our neighbor (Lev. 19:18). (3.) *The Law of Moses is not binding on followers of Jesus as a body of legal requirements of obedience.* This is the consistent witness of the biblical authors across the NT (Acts 15:1-29; Rom. 7:6, 14:1-23; Gal. 3:24-25; Col. 2:16-17, etc.). (4.) *This does not mean that Christians are without a law and can do whatever we want!* No! Jesus and NT authors give us many commands. Christians are absolutely called to live lives of love, service, purity, obedience, and moral virtue (Gal 5:13). Blessings, Rob

04.25.2024 PLEASE Mr. Solberg ... would you consider removing the skull from view. It reminds me of what occultists would have setting around; not a man teaching the Truth of God.👑 Thank you for your consideration concerning this small matter & especially for your teachings of the Truth. 👑 May our Father abundantly bless you in every way. 🙏
Hello, JNAAN! The skull is actually a practice from ancient Christianity where monks would have only three possessions: a bible, a candle (by which to read their Bible), and a skull to serve as a "memento mori" (Latin: "remember that you have to die"). It is there to remind us that life is short and death is coming. For Christians death is not seen as a threat or something scary. Rather, the reminder of our mortality says "Serve God, love others, and don't sweat the small stuff. Heaven is our home and every day is one day nearer." Blessings, Rob
Almost every book in both the old and new testaments speak of eschatology. Revelation is all about it. Jesus said 3 times let no man deceive you by any means. It sounds like you've fallen for the serpent's lie.
the 'greatest problem' you need to understand that the Scroll was *corrupted* by Esau : as THE main theme in all prophets . Esau wanted to have Jacob perish 'in the day of IEUE' and he wóuld - IF not God would have his people to nderstand what he réally said in prophets . Esau got his dirrty hands on our scroll - including NT ! - and heartbreakingly corrupted it : one of the many hundreds of examples is Mal.2 , addressed to 'the pastors in the endtime' [sic] where God allegedly says "if you wont listen i will put dung on your faces" ofcourse God NEVER says those things : but Esau did ! what he says is "do not hold fast + to the scroll [=KJV] + in front of you" , where 'scroll' (-SPHR) is an inversion of Esau's "dung" (-RSHP) ! and 'face' is the same word as "in front" the "scroll in front of you" is an expression of "the wicked one [=KJV] in the days of the end" since the Reformation but copied Esau's corrupted scroll -- in Revelation there never was 'pergamum where the throne of + satan is" but "the words of + God" (thronos=logos) , so Christ wárns them to not copy Esau's corrupt scroll yet they did -- and only in these days the sons of Ishral will understand , by which Christ removes the seals [=corrupted scroll] and revelation starts

Hi, Paz! Did you know that the chapter and verse numbers were not placed there by the authors of Scripture? Those numbers were added centuries later by translators to help readers when referencing the text. So what we call a "verse" or a "partial verse" today is based on whatever those translators decided. This is why even the Bible itself doesn't always cite complete "verses." In fact, the Jewish teaching method called _remez_ (hint) is based on the use of partial quotations. Quoting a "partial verse" is commonplace among rabbis, sages, and scholars and it does not automatically indicate deception. And it's obvious from the context of our video that the truncated portion of that verse had no impact on the point being made. Shalom, RLS

The problem if you can call it a problem is it is hidden by God from us. Stay awake, keep on the watch and in expectation, but leave the 'times and seasons' to God. They are His, dont take what belongs to God we will not go unpunished.

Very informative as always.
Excellent presentation!

Great point, Nicholas. Thanks!

It is very true. Matthew 24 also has part of what you say.
Biblical repentance is always a turn, return, and / or returning BACK to Torah

Which chapters of Revelation do you refer to? Revelation 11-13 feature chronological prophecies about the time of Christ's return.

Wow, how do we determine false prophets when not plainly spoken?
It's not just eschatology they split over though ...I see where you're coming from. Thanks.
What about prophecy in Rev? i know isn’t happening yet but Jesus warning us to keep the faith until He comes back again.
Revelation is interesting in that there is a definite 7 year period leading to Christ’s second coming to Earth. The 70th week of Daniel
The 70 weeks of Daniel are actually three distinct prophecies that all agree regarding the time of Christ's return.
What about the prophecy in revelation. the 2nd coming? i know that it didn’t happen yet, but Jesus warning us to keep our faith until he comes again.
Rob,
The only issue with the prophecy of the altar is chronology.
(2 Chron 35:20-25)
And finally, there’s Joel 2.

What was the covenant they broke?
The covenant that Israel (and Judea) broke is the "Old Testament" covenant, where God promised that Israel (and Judea) would be uniquely blessed by God, so long as they conducted their nations according to God's will.
The books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy include God's laws and principles for a righteous nation. Because Israel (and Judea) refused to obey the covenant - becoming oppressive nations instead, God rejected them.
@@Bible_Prophecy_School
You have provided the stereotypical western church response.

The Isaiah passage (#2) is rather simply to figure: "You're stiff-necked and hard-headed."

Rob,
I would like to start this discussion with something you said toward the end of your presentation.
YOUR WORDS:
“Because we believe that all Scripture is God’s inspired word and therefore will not contradict itself, it’s a wise practice to use the clear text to shed light on passages that are harder to understand like these Old Testament prophecies.”
MY RESPONSE:
Indeed, this is a basic hermeneutical principle (akin to Occam’s Razor) that I believe in also.
YOUR WORDS:
“So, we should be using the things revealed in the New Testament to properly interpret the Old Testament. The New Testament will never contradict the Old Testament, of course.”
MY RESPONSE:
Yes, I find this to be true also.
So, let’s use the NT to evaluated the OT. Here’s a very simple, direct NT verse:
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for SIN IS THE TRANSGRESSION OF THE LAW. (1 John 3:4)
And another:
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (Torah).
3 For this is the love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2,3)
Hmmm…funny…these don’t change my understanding of passages like:
26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my STATUTES (H2706, choq / chuqqim), and ye shall keep my judgments (H4941, mishpat / mishpatim), and DO THEM. (Ez 36:26,27)
- OR -
31 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant (brit chadashah - renewed covenant) with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL, and with the HOUSE OF JUDAH: (Jer 31:31)
32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which MY COVENANT THEY BRAKE, although I WAS AN HUSBAND UNTO THEM, saith the LORD: (Jer 31:32)
33 But this shall be the COVENANT that I will make with the HOUSE OF ISRAEL; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my LAW (Hebrew, TORAH) in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. (Jer 31:33)
After all -
12 Wherefore the LAW is HOLY, and the COMMANDMENT HOLY, and just, and good. (Rom 7:12)
Why would God want to change what’s HOLY, JUST, and GOOD?

Rob,
Deflecting much? You get my point though, right? When confronted and challenged with a simple straight forward verse like 1 John 3:4 or verses like 1 John 5:2,3 most of normative Christianity take cover in the convoluted passages of Paul that are easily misinterpreted…and violate the Occam’s Razor principle that you advocate. With regard to the scripture you reference:
YOUR WORDS:
We are so removed today from the culture and worldview and the era and the language of the prophets…
Repeated blood sacrifices for sin are no longer required (Heb 10:18).
MY REPLY:
Yes, and we are similarly removed from the culture, worldview, era, and language of the writers of the NT.
16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my LAWS into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; (Heb 10:16)
What would this mean to the people of Paul’s time? Remember that the language of Israel during this time was Aramaic (Acts 1:19), a cognate of Hebrew…and the synagogue / temple language has always been Hebrew. Thus, the Israelites would recall Jer 31:31-33 and understand LAWS to be the Torah. Would God misdirect His people?
17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more OFFERING FOR SIN. (Heb 10:18)
But just a few verses earlier in the same chapter of Hebrew, we read:
4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. (Heb 10:4)
But it was NEVER possible for the blood of bulls and goats to take away sin.
YOUR WORDS:
We still serve God and obey His commands, “But now we are released from the law, having died with Christ to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code” (Rom 7:6). So if we want to put a classification of "law" on it, Christians follow the Law of Christ.
MY RESPONSE:
So, how does Rom 7:6 line up with 1 John 5:1,2?
2 By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS (Torah).
3 For this is the love of God, that we KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: and his commandments are not grievous. (1 John 5:2,3)
This passages specifically states the commandments of God, not the commandments of Christ. I would respectfully submit that they are one and the same (Torah). Note the parallelism in the Gospel of John:
19 Did not MOSES give you the LAW, and yet NONE OF YOU KEEPETH THE LAW? Why go ye about to KILL ME? (John 7:19)
37 I know that ye are Abraham's seed; but ye seek to KILL ME, because MY WORD HATH NO PLACE IN YOU. (John 8:37)
Thus, the law of Moses (Torah) and the words of Messiah Yeshua are one and the same.
Dr. Hananel Mack (professor of Talmud at Bar-Ilan University in Israel) wrote:
“Generally speaking, Jews excluded from the haftarot those verses on which Christians based the principles of their religious faith...It would appear that the phenomenon is not mere coincidence and that the trend...was consciously implemented.

When all has been heard, the conclusion of the matter is this: FEAR YAH/GOD and KEEP His COMMANDMENTS, because this is the WHOLE DUTY OF MAN.
Notice it's not Just Judah?
Hey, Smurfy! I actually don't promote "torahelessness." I promote a biblical understanding of the Law of Moses. Here are four things I believe the NT teaches about the law that I have shared previously:
(1.) *The Torah has not been done away with.* It is a part of holy Scripture.

Not only are prophecies not always fulfilled literally --- well... Jeremiah 51:42 will eventually be literally fulfilled when Antarctica melts ---, but the OT is a bible code that is chock full of prophetic riddles the answers and fulfillments of which were Jesus at least according to the Ante-Nicene Fathers such as Justin Martyr and Tertullian.
Then there were the conquering Flavians who made themselves the Messiah ben David and Messiah ben Joseph which made the prophecies of the Messiah at least as the Jews understood them a sick joke!

PLEASE Mr. Solberg ... would you consider removing the skull from view. It reminds me of what occultists would have setting around; not a man teaching the Truth of God.👑
Thank you for your consideration concerning this small matter & especially for your teachings of the Truth. 👑
May our Father abundantly bless you in every way. 🙏
Do you have a skull?
Do you know what a "vanitas" is?
Do you know what "Memento Mori" is?
Hello, JNAAN! The skull is actually a practice from ancient Christianity where monks would have only three possessions: a bible, a candle (by which to read their Bible), and a skull to serve as a "memento mori" (Latin: "remember that you have to die"). It is there to remind us that life is short and death is coming. For Christians death is not seen as a threat or something scary. Rather, the reminder of our mortality says "Serve God, love others, and don't sweat the small stuff. Heaven is our home and every day is one day nearer."
Blessings,
Rob
The new testament contradicts its own scripture.

Hands down, the most useless topic Christian talk about. The miracle of reinterpretation is powerful😂
Almost every book in both the old and new testaments speak of eschatology. Revelation is all about it. Jesus said 3 times let no man deceive you by any means.

the 'greatest problem' you need to understand that the Scroll was *corrupted* by Esau : as THE main theme in all prophets . Esau wanted to have Jacob perish 'in the day of IEUE' and he wóuld - IF not God would have his people to nderstand what he réally said in prophets .
Esau got his dirrty hands on our scroll - including NT ! - and heartbreakingly corrupted it : one of the many hundreds of examples is Mal.2 , addressed to 'the pastors in the endtime' [sic] where God allegedly says "if you wont listen i will put dung on your faces"
ofcourse God NEVER says those things : but Esau did !
what he says is "do not hold fast + to the scroll [=KJV] + in front of you" ,
where 'scroll' (-SPHR) is an inversion of Esau's "dung" (-RSHP) !
and 'face' is the same word as "in front"
the "scroll in front of you" is an expression of "the wicked one [=KJV] in the days of the end" since the Reformation but copied Esau's corrupted scroll --
in Revelation there never was 'pergamum where the throne of + satan is" but "the words of + God" (thronos=logos) , so Christ wárns them to not copy Esau's corrupt scroll yet they did -- and only in these days the sons of Ishral will understand , by which Christ removes the seals [=corrupted scroll] and revelation starts
The bible interprets itself is suffice dont need any jesuit to try to confuse it by so many words that will only cause to loose its simple meaning

*Professor Solberg has been lying to you.*
On April 8th 2024, Solberg uploaded a video, in which he deliberately misquoted Deuteronomy 11:28, by putting in a full stop where a comma is, *knowingly taking out the one and only condition for the curse* as presented in that verse - *foreign worship.*
The video is named: *What's "New" About the New Covenant*
The time mark: *03:42** (notice the full stop he placed, and compare to the true text below).*
*Deuteronomy 11*
28 and the curse, if you do not listen to the commandments of the Lord your God, but turn aside from the way which I am commanding you today, [w] *by following other gods which you have not known.*
*People, this is how you have been manipulated by the church and people like Solberg!*

Answer with the same reply you did the last couple of times, and seven folds it will be...
The problem if you can call it a problem is it is hidden by God from us.
Stay awake, keep on the watch and in expectation, but leave the 'times and seasons' to God.
They are His, dont take what belongs to God we will not go unpunished.
