3:14 I'm glad I'm not the only one who pushes sleeves into their polybags using their stomach. These bags are awesome, just have to find the money to buy 300 of them and the time to swap bags on 300 gatefolds, haha.
Glad to hear it. We spent a fair amount of time making sure they're sized perfectly for all size gatefolds. We think you'll be happy with your purchase.
Nice gatefold sleeve but there's still a chance the record may slip out from the side. Can it be stored inside the 13"x13" sleeve (or anything bigger)?
@@BagsUnlimitedRochester I had fun transferring my gatefold albums. They look great. I even placed original hype stickers on them. Nice having a new appreciation for the complete artwork of albums.
Our Archival Armor sleeves are made from polyester which is also known as Mylar. They are the sleeves you see starting at 2:01. They are 4 mil thick. If you have any other questions please ask. Thanks!
We try not to make comparisons to other company's products. The ones you linked are polypropylene, not polyester. The product you linked to is not the same as the product we're selling in the video however. If you're looking for polypro sleeves in the same style as the ones you linked, here are ours. www.bagsunlimited.com/product/5307/12-record-jacket-sleeve-with-font-colorredresealable-flapfontbr12-34-x-12-34-x-15-milfont-color34cb56-polypropylenefont
In regards to cost, our polypro sleeves are 1.5 mil and cost $22.82 for 100. That price, depending on where you are located, includes shipping costs. The sleeves you linked are 5 mil and cost $21.99 for only 50 sleeves. I have no idea if that company includes shipping in their prices. Depending on what you're looking for specifically, sleeves from both company's have their appeal. Thanks.
It would likely depend on the thickness of the jacket. That is not something we have tried, and the sleeves weren't designed for that purpose, but in theory, these gatefold sleeves should work like any other in terms of storing the album outside of the jacket.
@@AB_Deck nice one mate!! Have you seen the outer sleeve? It has an opening on both ends. Storing the inners outside the sleeve will just be a recipe for the records just sliding out no matter what angle you have the inner. The inner will just slide with it
@@Magnum_Opus_1124 , that would likely be doable in our polyester material, but we wouldn't be able to make just one; We would need a custom order of at least 25 to make that worthwhile for us to make. If that still interests you, please let us know. Thanks.
Sorry we do not. Depending on what material you’d want, we could make some custom sleeves though. If you’re interested please message customercare@bagsunlimited.com with that request. Thanks.
Just received these in the mail and to be honest they are manufactured poorly. The measurement of these are very bad. Many of the new gatefold albums are using a thicker cardboard stock and these are not fitting properly. Also, if your a jazz collector and your purchasing some of the tone poet albums from Bluenote and trying yo use this.... forget it. Very disappointed.

Chris Jordan, it’s a secret of the pros! You obviously know what you’re doing. 😉
Those Mylar ones look absolutely amazing!
That's pretty clever, I'll be considering some of the Archival Armor.

Need that product here in Chile, cheers
We can certainly ship it to you!
How bout a sleeve for a triple gate fold lp ie; Elton john “goodbye Yellow Brick Road”
the same company makes a few different sizes of boxes that you can fold up to fit different types of box sets and THICK boy vinyls like 2xlp n 3xlp
Good question. There's a few albums like that, such as "Tommy".
These look good in the video. I just ordered 50.

Anyone in the U.K. bought the archive gatefolds? What did you think and how much import tax did you get hit for?

Looks like there's a gap either side meaning the record would just roll out. It looks that way anyway
