I feel for Tori as a mom but happy to hear the realistic dad approach. Letting kids experience things that are “unfair” is actually so good for them. Cuz mom and dad aren’t around forever.
I remember right before my dad died and I composed an informative message to my siblings about what my mom and I were dealing with. My brother responded with “wow”. I broke down and cried.

My son, who has dwarfism, always loved wrestling. He never got involved in wrestling in high school, he did baseball and basketball. But he did end up at the age of 19 joining a wrestling group and traveled the world and all over the United States. He had some pay per views and a mini reality on spike TV. Now at the age of 44 his body can't take the wrestling, but he still is involved by reefing and being the MC.
My cousins have dwarfism and one wrestles. Only on a dwarf teams and against other dwarves not like zach did with weightlifting and caused a kid to lose his title.
They really owe Amy a lot!! She seems to be at their beck and call whenever needed. They are so lucky for this, especially since they moved so far from her.
Our Kids do the “beep test” in school PE class too! My eldest Daughter is super competitive and got the highest outta the Girls; it’s a good motivation to push yourself! Way to go, J 🤩

I think there is so much benefit from having both boys & girls growing up together. I was a youngest girl with 2 older brothers and I grew up tougher and readier for what life threw at me because of it. My 5 stepdaughters were ages 1-10 when their dad & I met, and my 2 boys were 2-4, and throughout their growing up, they learned so much from each other. The boys learned how to respect & relate to girls, and the girls learned how to respect & relate to boys. The girls weren't afraid to learn how to fix cars or get dirty, and the boys weren't shy about playing dolls with the girls & being more sensitive. As adults they are better humans and better parents and better spouses, all of them, because of it. ♥
almost ALL kids HATE the pacer at the grade school I work at! It can be one of the most anxiety enduring experiences for some kids! I always remind the kids not to compare their numbers to other students, but to try to improve their own numbers!

SCREAMING I AM SO STOKED TO FINALLY HEAR A WRESTLING MENTION!! I am a MS/HS wrestling coach and disability advocate, and it is a perfect sport for an athlete with dwarfism or any other array of physical or mental disabilities. I am so disappointed we don't have paralympic wrestling but I think it's because disabled wrestlers stay in the mainstream sport. Zach you nailed it, and Tori, wrestling community would grow on you! It isn't as bloody and tough guy vibes as you'd think. It's hard work, grit, no excuses environment.
I dislike text messaging, too. I am in GenX, and while I like a lot about the internet and cell phones, I have to admit that I resent the expectation of immediate response. I just don’t prioritize supervision of communications modes (various e-mails, text messages, Messenger, Facebook posts, etc.). I have other things to do.
I was literally hit by a truck last May. I was driving my semi (woman owner operator truck driver)when another truck driver hit me head on at 65 mph. That man passed away. I was so lucky. I’m still recovering 9 months later. But I’m alive. My point is life can change on a dime.
Guys, my husband worked at a Home Improvement store with blue in the logo and this customer for 7 years, would buy a lawn mower in the spring and return it in the fall….EVERY YEAR….EVERY TIME they accepted it. He had a free top of the line lawn mower for free. People can suck sometime. BTW, I love your podcast.

Lilah IS rad. Could tell in that first vid I saw with the boys playing on and around her and she didn't even flinch. But you can also tell there's also a sweetness to her like in the Christmas Pageant vid. The boys are cool too. And so are you two! I have lost 15 friends and family over the last two years from sudden heart attacks or rapid rare cancers and all of them were vaccinated the latest was my older sister who got a shot and within three months developed cancer and passed all in three months perhaps that is what is happening in the little person area as well.
Tori I am a mom of boys and wrestling is a great outlet for boys… supervised chaos.. my boys wrestled at home from the time they could move… so getting them into the sport with structure was a win. They also played team sports but the growth that came with individual sports was amazing. You’ll love sitting on the sidelines and cheering them on and by the way girls are also very good at wrestling…and can be very girly girls too. I bet Lila would be kick butt good at it. Just sayin !😊

Tahoe is near the mountains and has its own beautiful lake much more beauty there. RENO is more casino and streets like Vegas but not as big. Little big city
I understand totally because in the past few months we have lost friends & family members its like what is going on , I mean my husband is 82 so friends are also in that range so I get it but when its family that's to young to be gone , I know I shouldn't question God's plan us but all in a few months in between . 😥

we never had a pacer or a jaunt. we had a short dash, a soft ball throw, rope climb (THE WORST), and a relay.
The pacer is in Missouri at least. I had a classroom next to the gym. I hated that week.
