Look at Joe’s mobility. His ability to throw on the run was incredible. Despite Brady’s accomplishments, Joe will always be my GOAT.
I agree. If you had to bet your life on one guy for one game in their prime. Not even close. I pick Montana over Brady.
Watching these highlights just makes me miss Candlestick Park even more.
Imagine being so great that the 49ers channel uses your highlights with the CHIEFS to highlight your top career plays…only Joe Montana.
49ers are trash go hawks
Happy Birthday To The G.O.A.T!!
Perfect in Superbowls, no picks and no fumbles.... #GOAT
Privileged to have been able to watch Montana in his prime, Die Hard Niner Gang!!!
What was it like for you, was it like me watching mahomes? I’m 17 by the way, also a die hard 49ers fan ;).
@@cjcboi2488 As a child in the 80's watching Montana was magical, like watching a super hero. I'm so lucky that my first niner game i remember watching was the 1985 superbowl niners vs dolphins. But then the times Montana had his back injuries and his broken elbow was heartbreaking. Through the ups and downs and even when he went to KC I still cheered for Montana.
ME TOO
The GOAT
Patriots fans doesn’t even know who drew Bledsoe is, why would they know who the real GOAT is 😂🤘🏾
Do patriot fans know joe was the fella there false god idolized
No doubt
@@sithlordjeffbledsoe651 Probably not. Too ignorant and too conceited about Tom’s cheating. They tried sweeping them under the rug 😂 every chance 😂🤛🏾
the one and only
Man hes bombing them with ease. His throwing motion is immaculate 💯. Why do people say he didn't have a strong arm?
Because he was thin and so smooth. He had plenty of arm.
@@jaimepatena7372 made it look easy man 💯
@@Ace______ Montana was graceful. What people do not understand to make it look easy takes strength. Montana was a good hoop player.
You're still the GOAT 🐐 in my book Joe.
Wish I could relive all those great moments. If they had a chance, you knew Montana would make it happen. So GREAT! Still the G.0.A.T when it came to excitement and putting on a show!
"The Catch" once was the reason why I'm a niner - and still faithful!
Imagine finding out that a young upcoming quarterback was at The Catch born & raised as a Faithful 49ers fan in the bay area & passing on him for some shmuck.. #TB12
I became a 49ers fan after watching that game too.
@@TheRgordon16 Wasn't easy in these days to watch Football on TV in Europe. I loved it from the 1st second.
Fair weather and bandwagon fans only become one because of "winning"
True fans are the ones who are born and bred in the teams city or area. I've been a Niner fan since the beginning of cognitive memory, born and raised in the SF Bay area. That's a "real" fan.
@@doodlepops707 I’m not from that area I’m from a city that did nothing but win Super Bowls in the 70s and now has 6 SB right now and I’m not a fan. I chose my own team to follow and it was the 49ers after they beat Dallas. The 49ers were not a winning team throughout the mid late 70’s and were not Super Bowl Champions until the 81’ season. After winning the NFC Championship against Dallas there was NO guarantee the 49ers were going to win the Super Bowl or that they would become the team of the decade. And yet I have been a faithful fan for 40 years. So your comment is nonsense. It’s easy to be a fan if you are from the same area. So there is nothing to brag about. Try being a fan in enemy territories pal, then talk trash. I love the 49ers and have spent lots of money on their gear and have spent money to see them every time they come here to my area. So again, your comment is nonsense.
I am struck by the effortlessness and accuracy
The Real GOAT 🐐
I love me some history lessons!! *STRAIGHT GOOSEBUMPS* watching these! Makes me want to punch through a wall; walk through fire!
Quite simply, The GOAT.
The accuracy of those passes
Wow.. goose bumps all the way to the end. I watched many of those games. You could always trust Joe, and know that he would come up with something! My first GOAT... Happy Birthday Joe!
He’s still the Goat to me! Brady is number 2 Bang Bang Niner Gang!!!!
Thank goodness for Rice, he help extend Montana’s 49er career
Reason while I'm still faithful 💯
After watching these Joe Montana highlights, how can he not be the GOAT? So poised, so smooth, so confident, and undefeated in Super Bowls. Just sayin..
For some reason here in the NFL we put rings over stats in the NBA Bill Russell has the most rings yet Lebron is the GOAT
Joe Montana the GOAT
I remember a lot of those games especially the catch it was the most talked-about at that time I've been a Niners fan for a very long time I just hope that this team can get back to that in one way or another 🤔👍😊..
The GREATEST QUARTERBACK OF ALL TIME !!!
Absolutely beautiful spin on that ball.
THE BEST.🐂
We all love you joe ( joe cool ) montana
Let's see the glory day's again 🙌lance will bring them always faithful 🙏🙌
Wow, he was a winner since high school. Had a fabulous cast and coach to work with. #1 I was driving back from skiing just made it to cabin to see “The Catch”. God bless Dwight Clark,
Joe Montana the 49er Legend.
NFL Legend!
John Taylor such a underrated WR!! Jerry Rice was just toooooo good!! The KC stuff kinda hurts!! lol
I remember first time I saw Joe in a Chiefs uniform I damn near cried
John Taylor was fast too. He was great 👍
Best team ever
Thanks for this. We needed it. Brazil loves Joe.
The King of Dimes.
Joe Montana was a acrobat on the field. He had all the moves.
EXCELLENT! BEST VIDEO IN OVER A YEAR.
OL'🐐👑JOE MONTANA#16 ..
the way Joe hit Jerry in stride is just beautiful
Can you believe they said he has noodle arm aka weak arm. Dude had perfect clutch throws.
Respect!!!!!
All favorite plays, but 35 is awesome
Doing a 360, for a TD......
Years of excellence. My GOAT. Hope 49ers have Trey Lance watch old films and learn from the Best, especially Bill Walsh.
Trey Lance is a film junkie. Hes been doing it since highschool.
Happy Birthday Joe Montana my goat
The one player I regret not seeing play live...
Nice to see Dwight and Freddie back in their heyday. I wish I could turn back the clock and root for those great teams one more time. RIP 🙏
Joe Montana = 🐐
That’s all.
Should have showed the game against the Bears in the freezing weather!!!!!
He was great no matter where he played including in college!!!!!
@@lindalambson3322 like the 1979 Cotton Bowl a.k.a "The Chicken Soup Game"
As I posted earlier this morning "HAVE THE HAPPIEST OF BIRTHDAYS AND MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND ALL YOUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FANS!!!!!!!
When it was a game! Never be another Montana! Go niners🙌
Watching some of those old clips and then thinking about what you were doing when it happened gets your eyes to burning and puts that unswallowable lump in your throat.
Niner till I die Joe montana the legend
1:08 After missing all of 1991 and the first 15 and a half games of 1992, Joe Montana came back to throw two TD passes before heading to KC.
Joe Montana in the 49ers , epic team , goooo for all ,,,,Niners👍🏼
Joe Montana was too good for his time
What made montana so great was he threw with his arm. He didn't do it like they do now trying to put all their body into the throw to try to get it the wr as fast as possible. He focused on accuracy over power with throwing the football. His throws constantly leading wrs in stride unlike todays game. And tom brady is not even close to montana. I don't care how many super bowls hes won. Hes not Joe Montana. Nobody is. Joe Montana played great coming into games hung over. Its why he always better in the 2nd half. the first half he was just waking up. they would find him in a ditch and take him straight to the game and slap him around and suit him up and he was so talented he still would be the best player on the field.
Facts!!!! That’s why he’s the 🐐
Happy 65th birthday, Joe. And happy 108th birthday, Vince Lombardi.
There’s still no better film and footwork, grace still to this day then the notorious “Joe Cool” Joe 3:16.
The Greatest of All Time bar none.
-NINERS
Happy Birthday Joe Cool #16 #19
Montana is worlds better than Tom Brady will ever be!!! They had to make up rules to protect that diva 👨🎤 Brady!!!
Great memories of watching the 49ers every Sunday score on practically every opening drive of every game! GO NINERS!!!!
Montana and Brady in a league of their own.
Seriously underappreciated as a qb all time! Needs to be talked about more often, rather than glossed over!
I wouldnt say hes underappreciated hes ranked as the 2nd greatest qb of all time
@@jackiedan3380 not very often amongst fan base wise

My Wife is going to LOVE this!
(I do too!)
Joe: Thanks for the Memories!
G.O.A.T. I don't care what anyone says
Facts!
Charle Young and John Frank were great # 86's!
Bill Walsh the mastermind that assembled the culture of being winners. Rip to the legend, Montana will always be the 🐐.
Rip?
@@tarkus88299 yup RIP Bill Walsh
@@kazoku1178, ok😂sorry, my fault 😂🤦🏻♂️
@@tarkus88299 😂😂 All good 👍
Joe Montana was just the best QB ever.
Jerry Rice gave Montana and Young alot of Touchdowns....I say that because no one could get to a spot and open like Jerry. He was a safety blanket/slash deep threat.
Montana was a very understed mobile qb. Alot people assumed he was just a pocket qb
Cool joe going into cool 65
rhythm, cadence, timing, aim, the widereceiver rarely corrected his trajectory and the ball placed in the exact point where only the receiver could catch it and left the defender out of position.
mobility, ability to run with the ball, throw on the run, even in the opposite side, and the ball always found the target that calls "the MONTANA MAGIC"
If Joe Montana had the same regulation protection as today's quarterbacks, he would have had more seasons, fewer injuries, and monster numbers.
Joe Cool 🐐
Joe had some great receivers, but he could put the ball EXACTLY where it needed to be.
GOAT
Was Joe the best ever? He was doing things QBs today cant do.
More of this 20+ HOF & 7 SB trips going on 8.
Greatest longball passer of all time. Notice this video isn't stuffed with 10 yd catch-and-runs.
Who is the single dislike on this video? A Rams fan?
THE ONLY GOAT IN FOOTBALL
if Joe cool was in the NFL rn EVERY AND I MEAN EVERY passing record would be his
@5:20 WOW WOW WOW wtf haha
Fearless Montana if only jimmy be more fearless.
Happy Birthday Joe.You are 65.Now you can retire. LOL!!!
I don't care what anyone says, Montana had a cannon
Joe Cool Montana the GOAT#16! I have JM16 1990 red jersey hanging in my closet🐐❤️
They could have had fifty more plays!
Was there a greater game by a qb in NFL history than Superbowl 24? It was like watching Picasso paint
Joe "Cool" He was always my GOAT. Tom Brady after coming back on the Falcons and then leading the Buccaneers is hard to deny, but the Patriots got accused of cheating in 3 seperate scandals, how many other teams in the NFL have even had one? Patrick Mahomes could be the next gen GOAT. This video is starting to make me think Joe is still the GOAT.
Gonna open with a KC TD? Cmon man
go cry somewhere else
Thats wat im sayin lmao
If only Jimmy G could be like this 🤣
He’s just avg. hopefully lance is good
#24 should be higher
Brady can't do half the things Montana could 🙄 you've gotta be silly to call Brady The GOAT QB after watching these highlights
Watch Mac Jones and Montana throw...same exact delivery.
Why not top 49 plays though
Wish they would have left out those Chiefs highlights. 😔😫
This video is not to honor the 49ers legacy but Montana's it would be a shame to leave out his good plays when he was in KC
@@jackiedan3380 True. It just still hurts to see Joe in another uniform.
Brady has nothing on Montana. Can’t stand people saying Brady is the GOAT
But Montana is the Greatest QB tho imo
ur telling me this man was playin like this and he aint the goat?
How about them niners
The Kansas City was joe Wyoming not joe cool 😡
