thank you grampa dio, i will completely disregard everything you said about top 10s being flawed and i will only be using the top 5 equipments in this list and i will spit on anything else
I just want to say the Executive Card only refunds the 10% AFTER spending the whole amount, so things like buying the legendary chest on stage 4 won’t be any easier, but you’ll have leftover money for a chest or two.
The title says all, and yet cc keeps rambling about what is going to happen and about analytics so they get enough time for an extra ad This guy said, "I'm going to tell you this shit," and proceeded to tell you this shit all over the place
Another thing in Wood Sprout's favor is how unbelievably powerful it is early in a run when healing is scarce, let alone consistent healing. It helps that for some reason the thing has always had a weirdly high spawn rate on my first levels. Seriously, that thing has carried me through the first 2-3 stages so often
It's also worth mentioning that eccentric vase is the best pillar skip for multiplayer, since only one person needs to have it to be a pillar skip for everyone
Missiles build with final boss obliteration is decent(on normal mode at least). Plasma shrimp + rocket launcher and various rocket buffs delete nearly everything in the site with low effort
my fav equipment is the foreign fruits with corpsebloom combo, you exchange the instant 50% instant healing for 100% fast regen and stacking corpsebloom prolongs the effect but reduces the healing per time
The hardest I've ever broken the game was using FMP on an Artifact of Command run and looping to stage 20. I ended up able to throw out 3 FMP's at once that each did 1,000,000,000+ damage per second while active, in an area of >800m. Literally a bigger area than most maps. And, every time it killed something, they would activate the same explosion on death. Everything died instantly upon spawning. By the end of the game I literally didn't see any enemies, just showers of explosions and damage numbers.
something that might be worth noting as well for vase is that it can be really helpful for purchasing something thats deep in void fog, when it'd be dangerous. or like... in simulacrum, if you play that
2:59 3rd: Rock. The most common one (iirc) and therefore the most easily countered. You’ve definitely gotten killed with rock more than you’ve killed scissors. 2nd: Scissors. This is only really used in countering first place. However, it’s good at that, so there’s very little I can do to change this place. 1st: Paper. Counters rock, simple.
My favorite equipment is the one that summons a gummy copy of yourself, and playing artificer for me makes it pretty fun, but I wanna try it out on others too
I do think tonic is the best by far in my opinion, because whereas recycler has a chance to reroll into something bad, tonic will ALWAYS be useful when built into making infinite uptime (5 gestures or fuel cells). Other than that I completely agree with your list
I think tricorn should be higher tbh. Combining it with dreaming for a good stage in the bazaar it has a high likelihood of giving you a free god item.
Hey, Disputed - I've been watching your channel for some time now, enjoying it! Idea for video: A Risk of Rain dictionary in which you talk about the jargon of RoR(2).
i think tricorn should absolutely be in at least number 4 mainly because it doesn't really take up your equipment slot. You can just pick it up, shoot it, and take the old equipment again, and gain incredible value.
Yeah, it has a funky effect where it will remove nearby projectiles. I _think_ this was intended to let you remove overloading elite bombs from yourself, but it has some, uh, interesting side effects.
i honestly think that the fridge is highgly underrated since you can combo it with the fireworks and the octopus and it can heals you. And also the 500 armor Jade elephant that can combo well with the Shell and the Soulbound catalyst (not as good as the spinel tonic tho) but it works better on artifact run like sacrifice And Command.
Naw naw ain’t no way you can put woodsprite at last. Its healing is absolutely phenomenal and has CARRIED some of my early and mid game runs. I thought this was a ranking list…. I thought you said woodspirte was last… Well I agree XD
First sec into the video and you're already showing and explaining the best items without a boring intro that everyone skips. I had to insta sub and like the video. 👍🏻
I personally like to take Executive Card over Recycler bc I love looping and more items > better items, as more items will equate to you getting better items eventually. However, that is because I almost always loop, so recycler is better in the context of Eclipse.
I'm honestly not sure I agree with Recycler being above Card. While I do agree it deserves its spot in the top 2 non-lunar equipments, it's also just... not very consistent? Sure that red _could_ become a clover... or it could become another Happiest Mask. When given the choice I tend to take Card instead just for the consistent benefit of getting way more items.
The was one non looping run where recycler gave me 4 Ben rain coats from reds. It also gave me a desk plant. I don’t think I re rolled into anything better in that run. I also to get recycler often, so this run was kinda weird because I got like four reds before stage 6. I also found a band printer stage 2. I was playing engi with mobile turrets.
I think the gnarled wood sprite, forgive me please, mobility equipment, crowdfunder, spinel tonic, and recycler would be better iff in a video titled “underrated/misunderstood items.” To me, the criteria for a top 10 item would be no dependencies on other items to be good, are good early and late game, and are good for specifically casual players, aka the majority of people who watch your videos. Every equipment CAN be amazing, given the right items and knowledge. Your explanation of how the items can be good is great, which is why I think they’d be better off being called underrated.
I really like Eccentric vase. I use it often when I play immobile characters. It helps shorten distances and also can be used to go to Mythrix arena directly
Honestly couldve put Caffeinator in the same rank as FMP. Both require a very specific build but are insane when it takes off and will definitely win you a run and I've gotten carried by 4 fireworks and a plimp with caffeinator before as well, so i guess it's more consistent even
i would put recycler a bit lower, mainly because it doesn't provide direct utility to your build (no mobility/damage etc). And the 45s cd means if you are going fast, at late game it only affects a few items. Otherwise great tier list!
volcanic egg and milky chrysalis make bottled chaos a fucking nightmare and recycler is only good if you haven't gotten all the other better ones. card > royal cap/DML/FMP are all equal depending on current loot. everything is situational.
Honestly. Im surprised DML isnt on the list. I agree that royal capacitor and spinal tonic are better damage equipment. But DML is not far off. Personally i think its just as good as crowdfunder for its power in the early game and in icbm builds. Dml does crowd control more reliably than pretty much every equipment in the game (other than Fmp and caffinator on specific runs). Pretty much every other damage equipment has a drawback that makes it less reliable to deal with crowd control. Sawmerang requires you to be in melee range Preon has insane cooldown Cube doesn't do damage and is slow Molotov doesnt work on flying enemies and the damage is really bad without ignition tanks The back up has really high cooldown and low duration on top of doing barely any damage without spare drone parts. The 3 luner equipment that arent spinal tonic can all harm you in some way. Fmp and caffinator literally NEED items to be effective for crown control (on kill for fmp and fireworks for caffinator). Crowdfunder is great but its mostly useful for single target damage rather than aoe and its also hard to use in the early game And royal capacitor, while genuinely being a good option, is much more suited for single target damage than it is crowd control. This pretty much just leaves DML. which has a short cooldown, high damage, powerful building potential with items like icbm and standered proc items, and as a bonus its really easy to use as its pretty much passive damage. In my opinion, this is the easiest damage equipment in the game to take. Not the best one, but there is pretty much no other equipment that is this consistently good regardless of your stage, items, difficulty or character. Well other than spinal tonic. That equipment is broken.
