real story here is that the cup holders can fit a large thermos! that was something i was worried about. good to see that! fit some car seats or something to let us know how the back seat room and comfort is please!

My dealer called me recently and said my vehicle is scheduled to go into production in March. I ordered a base version with a couple of options. I have deposits on a 2024 Cybertruck, 2024 Tacoma TRD Pro and a 2024 Ineos Grenadier. I have a tough decision ahead of me as I can only choose one.
That is so funny.No water running in my doors or floors, reverse park and you will see how good the rear doors are, so many vehicles have no fold flat seats so big deal, in Australia they are all standard with tow bar and wiring, i am guessing you just can't afford it or don't need it.

Congratulations! I’ve been following the Ineos Grenadier since they first were just talking about it. I even have a reservation in for mine, it’s supposed to come in some time in April next year. However, I went to the dealer to check out their production units, they are supposedly not demo units. So, the grenadier was supposed to be sort of a vehicle that was less reliant on electrical stuffs. Well I was surprised to learn, although it has hydraulic power recirculating ball steering, that the hydraulic pump does not run off the engine, it’s an electric pump, and not “Bosch” or some other name brand, it just says “made in China” and “Ineos” on it. How reliable is that going to be? I also noticed it has electronic adjustment to the headlamps and that’s not an option, you can’t spec it without it. I also noticed it has electric radiator fans, how reliable is that? I also noticed that there are no little tabs or mechanical switches inside to lock the doors if the battery goes flat and the battery is under the rear seat. How to you re-lock your rear doors when you have a flat battery and you’ve removed the battery to take it to the shop to get a new battery do you just have to leave the rear doors unlocked? It’ll be interesting as people get them in their hands what they think of them more long term. I understand things like the Lexus GX is a different vehicle BUT it’s also kind strange when you think that the grenadier gets 15 MPG but has more gear, smaller displacement engine, less HP but gets worse gas mileage than the GX. You’d figure that the grenadier would be able to squeeze out more MPGs. So although I have one slated to come in April, I’m still on the fence, I’m going to subscribe to you for updates, please keep us up to date.

But again, the only way you can justify this vehicle is that it has just brought back the old defender charm in a new vehicle. Once you start comparing this with GX, Land cruiser or even the new defender, you have lost the point and this vehicle is not for you. Just my two cents.
The design philosophy for the design was to source the major components from the best manufacturers, axles, transmission, transfer box, engine, etc. they did that. Millions of products are made in China - look around your house. Not forgetting the famous 'Designed in California', 'Made in China' iphones. This vehicle is NOT an SUV, or pretend off roader. It's a genuine off-roader, with the ability to ride on sealed surfaces. It certainly won't suit everyone and is unlikely to be an only car of the owners.
You are right on the money. I thought really hard about it. But considering that they are lining up against the inline 6 defender, and putting quality parts, it is worth it if you are going to keep it forever. This is a solid vehicle like what they used to build 50 years ago and will last forever. That is the impression I get..
I agree somewhat, I mean, congratulations on this guys purchase BUT the power steering pump is electric, its an electric motor behind the passenger headlight. The motor says “made in China” and “Ineos” cars 50 years ago weren’t made with electric power steering pumps. The ineos has electronically adjustable headlights, why? It has no internal door locks, meaning if the battery goes flat you can’t lock the rear doors and guess what? The battery is under the rear seat, meaning when you have to go get a new battery, your rear doors will have to stay unlocked. This thing relies too heavily on electronics, this is NOT what Ineos promised us they were going to deliver. As for luxury, I don’t think the Ineos is supposed to be luxury but the 4Runner isn’t luxury but at least it has power seats. I dunno, I just think Ineos missed the mark with what they were going to deliver.
@@alexsystems2001 I agree, but in this modern age, there is only so much you can do. For example, US regulations didn't allow the car in without leave departure warning and collision control nannies 😁They had to add that free of charge

i live in Houston and on fence. Not sure if I should go with Grenadier or the new Lexus version of Land Cruser.
No comparison in the quality of the underlying parts.
The new GX550 looks amazing, too….but it doesn’t have three lockers available. Only center and rear. But it’s a Lexus……trade offs all day long.
