    VIDEO DESCRIPTION:
    Casie and Igor lived a busy lifestyle in which they never saw each other, and family time was minimal. Their first tiny home purchase was an RV they renovated, and they quickly fell in love with the process! They sold that rig and parked the next one on the property while this beautiful Barndominium was being built.
    This little, but larger than tiny home is a perfect fit for this family of six! You’ll find two bedrooms, one bathroom, and a quaint kitchen inside the house. The massive shop connecting to the small home is designed to hold tools for their renovation business, a workout section for fitness, and a bundle of bins for rarely used items. They established a desk area with four kids and a school agenda to organize education and business work.

    These two should be proud of themselves. It's not easy to step out of your confort zone, switch jobs, move away from your old state. But, they did this and it looks like they are thriving on this breath taking property and their beautiful home. Great job. Great build. Great to see parents want their kids running around outside this helps to grown their bones strong and helps with analytical thinking skill building as well. Beautiful horses. 🦃🍁🧡

      KC, I wholeheartedly agree with your sentiment!
      You are spot on!
      When in NYC, my gf had one of those removable countertops in the kitchen, but it did not cover the sink, it covered a half-size bathtub (perfect for a pint-sized girl), that •doubled• as a 'sink'.
      This is basically nonsense that this is on this channel.
      Maybe it's 500 •linear• feet down one wall?!

      Yeah same here. Did they say 524 or was it just shy of 600 I can't remember now. A 24'x24' garage is 576 sq ft. & that space disappears fast if you start dividing it up.

    This is what is considered a small house. Tiny houses are usually less than 500 ft. But it's not a big deal if it's on the tiny house channel. Not everybody wants to go less than 500 square feet. It shows you there are options of going slightly bigger than tiny. I have a small house it's 750 sq ft. I called it my apartment size house. Small houses are usually 500 to 1000 square feet. And please remember the price of the house has a lot to do with where you are located and the quality of the materials that you use.

    If anyone can answer this: people watch you tube and learn to install their electrical,(sometimes solar), gas/propane lines, plumbing. How do you obtain insurance if you aren't licensed?? How do you meet building code requirements? Just curious with so many people taking these tasks on themselves. Kind of chuckling about 1 bathroom. Families of 4, 5, 6 plus lived with one bathroom until prob 25 yrs ago. Funny how basic requirements change as income and median incomes have risen. I would have loved to live like this growing up. My horse next to my bedroom❤🐎🤗. Hecj I would have loved to have a horse.

    • @tomazcoasttocoast2022
      @tomazcoasttocoast2022 Рік тому +1

      The horses waking us up at the window is the dream. And we try to keep ourselves in check with exactly what you are saying, another bathroom would be a luxury but being together is what matters. Currently where we live we did not have to have inspections other than our septic. If we were in Massachusetts we would have had a contractor come inspect our work to make sure we met codes.

    • @angorachic
      @angorachic Рік тому +1

    What a beautiful place, OMG your home design is AMAZING!
    I love all the ways you have incorporated your living space.
    The HUGE space you have in the barn! The way it is laid out,
    is just plain AWESOME!
    You mentioned that you don't have a table for all to sit around. I'm just going to throw an idea at the both of you, it can be taken to what ever direction you want. My idea is to have a folding table and either folding or stackable chairs.
    This way you can have the mobility to plop it down in any available space in your home, or you could put it in the barn by the entry way to look outside, or have it on your patio for when it is nice outside to enjoy the beautiful open view.
    Back in the days, they didn't have these amazing minimalist ideas. My parents had alot of children. I know for a fact that if my parents, especially my mom, saw all these inovative ideas they would of used them and it would of made their lives alot easier.
    Back in the days, more people kept so much "STUFF," myself included. I am now a minimalist and LOVE it!
    The both of you are doing a great job in educating others in learning how to maximize living in a small space.
    One last comment:
    I also want to say how much I LOVE the way the trailer is designed. It is so beautifully and simply put together.
    Quite frankly, I would rather spend my time in there over looking a beautiful scenery than in a mansion, a house.
    As long as it has a comfortable bed and the seating is comfortable that would work for me!

    This family are truly gutsy to move their family from what was their "norm" they have a beautiful home, as for the kids closets I would not put doors on them they look great the way it is. They're young and it's easier just to put clothes away and hang them as the closets are opened like that. As for hot mess, not at all, this is a family and this is what families do. So hope they continue to live happily as well as chasing and living their dream. Stay blessed guys!! Thanks for sharing your beautiful barndominium with us.

    .....I think a bathroom area is needed for those children. It's not a good habit to have them " using the outdoors " just because there's not an extra bathroom.

    Just having shade over your home and work area, with a cross breeze, makes it airy and useful for most of the year- and then just close the doors!

    We have 3 bathrooms and the boys (in their late 30's) still pee off the porch. My family has done that for generations. I remember my Dad doing it as well (I am 60) and its just what you do when you live in the country Its so funny as a woman to glance out the kitchen window while doing dishes to see a man peeing off the back porch. Its a regular occurrence at hour house . Natural and normal and healthy. One of my sons used to pee on the planter with the tomatoes in it and we had the best crop of tomatoes EVER. That is high nitrogen fertilizer. Great video. Very inspiring for people to get out of the cities and build something that is paid for and functional.

      In the old days (not to long ago 1970's and before) most kids shared a room until they were 18. These kids will grow a strong bond with their siblings and have a blast roaming freely together exploring on this beautiful land. This is a kids dream to be able to explore & have adventures with their siblings daily.

    Very nice house with a modern and simple design. And the life of the countryside and the nice fresh air gives the person the mood is always calm

    Sure, it's a bit more than the magical number of 400 sq ft, but there's just a bit of breathing room in each room, which makes it nice without being excessive. The remodel shop and storage and play area is a great thing to include under the same roof!
