Amen to keeping it simple...no need to get the latest and greatest first off...a person can soon find themselves falling down the rabbit hole looking at all the options...such great advise!!
Golden advice! m4/3 is so underrated, it covers 90% of people's photography need. Sadly the youtube community have trashed the m4/3 for wrong reason and hardly any of them had owned a m4/3 camera. You can sometimes pickup a amazing deal on the used market for m4/3, as other dump them to migrate fullframe. Fullframe is so overrated, its expensive, bulky and heavy to lug around.
yes yes yes tell this 6d, d610, A7ii, 7R, Z5, Z6+FX adapter, R8 +EF, and a7C + some 35mil bulky + expensive... but yep e-m5ii, (m6, xt200) and g80 - are good bodys too
Thanks for that James. For beginners, starting on your phone is a great tip 👍 Further to that, I would recommend a mid-range camera which will offer a lot of scope for ‘growing’ into as you learn. I’ve always bought my cameras slightly above what I think I need to allow me some capacity for improvement. Having said that, I’ve used the Fuji XPro system since 2013 and hardly use 10% of its capacity! PS: I own an £8k Omega which sits in a cupboard unworn. Mostly because my wife would kill me!
Hi Kayleigh, thanks for your comment. Drop me an email via my website - jamesaphotography.co.uk - with what sort of products you want to photograph and the environment they will be in, plus your budget and I will look into it.
